“What a good little witch,” she smiled, nodding for Remy to leave. Once making sure that there was no chance she could see or hear them, Demi turned back to look at Angel. “You ruined my life,” she said as she looked her over before biting into her wrist and placing it against the girl’s mouth. “Now it’s time for a taste of your own medicine,” she smirked, making sure the brunette had enough in her system before snapping her neck. “Goodbye, Angel” she said, turning to walk away
Remy felt dizzy herself as she felt the flow of magic. It was more intense than when Samuel had given her small doses. It was louder and it seemed to fill every part of who she was. When it was over the tingle of feeling didn’t fade like before. She smiled though at the ext second Demi was telling her to go. “I’ll just be outside,” she reminded as she gave the pair space. She hoped Demi made the right choice.
Angel tried to block the woman but it was useless. Demi had strength she did not. She squirmed and struggled but it was nothing. The sick taste of blood filled her mouth much to her disgust. She coughed and coated her own lips in the crimson liquid, but before words could be spoken the world had gone dark. She fell limp to the floor. Her heart ceased to beat and whatever magic she did have was gone along with her life. When she awoke she certainly would not be the same Angel McCoy..

“Well luckily for you I have her here,” she smiled, looking back as she waited for Remy to come out of hiding. “Give her her magic and I will spare your pathetic life, Angel”
Remy had been good and stayed put. She had sent Seth a text outside just in case things went south. She didn’t want to leave anything unsaid anyway. Stepping into the room she had become familiar with, she had to admit the look of surprise on Angel’s face was fulfilling. “I’d listen to her if i were you. It’s not just her you have to worry about.” She stepped closer with her hand out stretched to Angel.
Her back was to wall on this one. She’d kill Samuel if she managed to get out of this situation. She glanced at Remy with a shake of her head. Figures. “ “You’ll both regret everything about this,” she warned as she took Remy’s hand. She knew the correct incantation but it’d take everything she had. Restoring something like that wasn’t a cake walk. She grasped Rem’y s hand and began, but she could feel it. Her own magic drained away. her own strength weakened. Giving Remy a shove she backed up against the wall trying to breath properly again. She felt dizzy. “There.”

“Give her her magic back right now,” she growled, grabbing onto her neck as she dug her claws into her shoulder. “Do that and I’ll spare your pathetic life”
“Doesn’t work like that blondie. She has to be here. I have to have physical contact” Angel explained as she finally hauled herself to her feet. “You won’t spare anything. I’m not that stupid. I made my bed and I will happily lay in it.” She threw up her hands, a maniacal laugh filling the room. “We made something historical. They’ll never forget me.”

“Her name is Remy, and she actually believes you want to help her,” she growled as she vamped forward and grabbed Angel. “You know, I would have shown mercy before, but it’s so overrated” she hissed, throwing her against the wall
“I’m giving her her magic back you idiot. Sure to benefit myself but we will get a happily ever after huh?” Angel gasped as she was suddenly in the woman’s hold and then she hit the floor hard after crashing into the wall. She winced, her body aching from the impact. “Wait, we can talk about this,” she tried, starting to lift herself to her feet.

“You kill me, you follow me all the way to Ireland, you allow your witches to stalk me, you threaten my family and now you’re trying to do the same shit with Remy” she growled, her eyes glowing a bright orange. “Give me one good reason not to kill you”
“You know the vampire?” Angel shouldn’t have been surprised. Fucking Samuel. He had made a mistake and she hadn’t bothered to look into it more and now look. Some good it did. “Down mutt.”

Angel was picking up the place feeling more like a mama bear these days than she did anything. She had to take care of them and ensure the right decisions sure. The added witch was appreciated but the door slammed open and she looked up expecting a annoyed Sam to be on the other end. Nope. Blondie. “The fuck are you doing here?”

Samuel mocked Remy from where he sat, making face and silently mimicking her words. Fucking bitch. He looked over at Angel, knowing almost instantly what was going through her head because it’d gone through his as well. Remy would be a good addition to their little group if she learned to obey. “I’ll be an absolute peach,” he said laced in sarcasm.
“I appreciate the help. I didn’t want to just intrude but he brought it up..” Remy was aware of the faces that Samuel was making but she was too amused to care. She had what she wanted and then some at the moment. If everything panned out then maybe this would work out in the end.
“Then it’s settled.” Angel was ready to put the witch’s ability to good use once they had everything sorted. Until then she could play nice. Hopefully Samuel could too. “I got it handled, Sam. You can go.” She put a hand on Remy’s shoulder. “Us girls need to chat.”

Samuel already didn’t like this. Last he wanted was for Remy to end up all buddy-buddy with Remy. He scowled at the witch before taking a seat to watch the exchange. Fuck these two. When he was done there he was going to see about heading Riker’s way. Anything was better than this.
“Nah, he ended up being pretty well behaved.” Remy glanced at Samuel to curious what the connection was between the two. Maybe he just had to listen to her even if he didn’t really want to. She knew that feeling. “Resurgence. Bringing back the dead, but I could only do smaller animals. I died before I got to the people part. Samuel said there was a chance of getting my magic permanently though.”
“Good to hear.” The former gift though was interesting at best. She hadn’t heard of it too often, and someone like that could have been useful. “If he mentioned it then he’ll keep his word and follow through with it. Won’t you?” She glanced at him, hoping to convey more with the look than she could with words at the moment. A witch like that was useful in more ways than one. Maybe he wasn’t such an idiot after all.

Samuel rolled his eyes again before turning back to the door to go get Remy. He didn’t want to admit it but Angel was more or less bailing him out of it. Maybe the brat would listen to her, if anything. “Come on,” he said motioning Remy to come inside. “Ang, this is Remy. Remy, this is Ang. She’s the leader of our group.”
Remy was beginning to wonder if she had overestimated herself and they were up to something, but then Samuel told her to go inside and she gladly accepted. Brushing by him to take the lead she smiled over at Angel. “Nice to meet you.” So far so good in her book.
“Angel but he insists on the ridiculous nickname,” Angel corrected as she gave her best smile despite being pretty pissed about the situation still. “I hope he wasn’t too rude. I heard what he tried to do. Good on you.” She shot Sam a look. “He told me you used to be a witch. What could you do?” Directing with her hand she gestured for Samuel to sit.

Samuel just shrugged. He expected this kind of reaction from her. “I thought she could be a good addition to our group. A vampire witch? That’s more bad ass than a werewolf vampire hybrid.” Especially since Demi didn’t seem to want anything to do with them. “Nothing. I just said I have a group. Didn’t say how many of us there were. I told her we’re not exactly a coven. I’m not that big an idiot, Ang.”
“You;re right about one thing. Possibly.” Depending on what she could do of course. There were ways of forcing loyalty if absolutely need be, but she had a feeling if the girl came then she clearly wanted something from a group. “Good. Then let her in and we’ll find out more. Next time you decide to make a mistake like this though? I am not bailing you out.”

“Sticks and stones Ang,” Samuel spat before nervously glancing back at the door. “Well see, thing is, she use to be a witch before the whole ‘dying’ thing. And I told her I’d give her back her powers if she agreed to fuck me for a night.” Typical Sam thing to say honestly. “Now the bitch thinks she’s going to get them back permanently and she was demanding I bring her here to see you.”
“You’re an idiot. You’re an idiot for screwing with a vampire and you’re bigger of an idiot for telling her something so stupid.” Angel too a step toward him with clear annoyance on her face. “You mentioned us? God what were you thinking? I mean clearly you weren’t. What does she know then?”

Of course she was there. “Not an emergency per say,” he shrugged. “I brought a friend with me. She wants to meet you,” he said bitterly. “She’s a blood sucker. Sorta.”
“A friend? You don’t have friends.” Angel shut her book and got to her feet. Arms crossed over her chest she eyed him warily “Sort of? What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Fine fine.” She’d be nice enough to be quiet the rest of the way at least. She still was surprised the whole thing worked out like she wanted it to. “No funny business. I mean it.”
Samuel rolled his eyes before heading inside. “Yo! Ang! You in here?” He called as he looked around. How was he suppose to even begin explaining this?
It wasn’t all around the most exciting job she had to admit but it would pay off soon enough. She had to be patient. “I’m always here,” Angel pointed out. “You’re up early. Whats’ the emergency now, Samuel?”

“Oh please, you love the view,” Bex shot at Samuel as she got up from the crappy bed and grabbed her jeans. So sue her for being comfortable. “Sooo nose around and play nice? Yawn, but sure. We can try it.”
“What’s her old man got to do with anything?” Samuel asked crossing his arms curiously. “Pretty sure we could take him if he started anything,” he added with the hint of a devilish smirk. Now that really would be fun. “I’d love the view more if there was actually anything to see. You’re flatter than a pancake,” he said setting his drink aside. “Grunt work it is. See you in a bit, Ang.”
“I just want to know where they are and what part they play. Even you two can handle that.” She hoped anyhow. “Play nice you two and be safe.”

“Angel, thank god it’s you, I had to come in disguise because some motherfucker thinks it’s funny to follow me. He did some learning when he was suddenly a rat.”
“Finally. I didn’t think you were even coming anymore.” Angel was all for as many people on board as she could get her hands on. Just meant more people to make sure that little family of Demi’s didn’t decide to nose in on anything. “I’ll be sure to squash him on my way back that way.”

“I said it was a dump too. I don’t do cheap motels.” Bex let it die off as Angel had her two cents naturally. She’d live with the place for now. Scratchy blankets and all. Lord. “I was going to go to the shop later. The little candy place? Why not?” Not that she thought Demi was half bad but that opinion remained sealed.
“’The project’? Jesus, Ang, doesn’t it have a name? You don’t have to go around dehumanizing ‘em.” Samuel quipped back, only joking of course. “A candy store? Now that sounds like a good time. Want Bex and I to take care of a few things? Granted she put some pants on or something first.”
“Definitely an it. That isn’t even close to being human anymore and never will be again.” She had magic sure but at least she was a tangible thing. Not some unknown species no one could properly identify. That was ridiculous. “You two can always see if you can find out more about that father of hers. He owns the place. See if you can find out if there’s more we have to worry about.”
