Penlight Public Release 0.1613.1: Hiroko Ticklish Storyline Expansion

Hello, everyone!

This month's update sees the completion of a sub path on Hiroko's Ticklish storyline. To find out what I'm talking about, start Hiroko's route and select the "ticklish" suggestion, then choose to help her before you reach the point where Kyou has to decide whether or not to go through with his plan. The new path is the one where he chooses to do so.

We also have a new CG to go with the new content, and it appears during the fateful scene described above. A variant of it can also be seen early on in the Villainous Sleeper Agent storyline if you're curious about the other blank space in the CG gallery this month~

For next time I'm wanting a CG to close out this latest sub path, then I'll be looking to take on yet another of these hanging story paths. See you then~

Penlight Public Release 0.1611.1: Sayori Alter Storyline Expansion

Hi, everyone!

This update basically completes the sub path I was working on for Sayori's Alter storyline, which we saw outlined in the previous release. That's something else crossed off the to-do list~

We also have one new CG for the gallery. This one's for the Redemption storyline, on the path where Kyou attempts to walk back his horrific actions only to give in to temptation later on. See if you can find it!

For next month I'll be working on one of Hiroko's story paths, so look forward to that and I'll see you then :)

Penlight Public Release 0.1610.1: Sayori Alter Storyline Expansion

Hello, everyone!

I wasn't able to do all that much over the past month but there's still something to show in this update, which expands on one of the previously inaccessible choices in Sayori's Alter storyline.

Now, when Kyou maintains Sayori's altered state through an entire day he'll be able to take one last chance to switch her back to normal before things get truly out of control. Will it be enough to save him from Sayori's ire? Or is he already too late?

Next month I intend to finish writing the latest sub-path and hopefully make some decent progress on something else. See you then!

Penlight Public Release 0.1609.1: Nozomi Trance Storyline Update

Hello, everyone!

For our first public update of the new year, I tied up the loose ends left over from last time regarding Nozomi's latest story path on her Trance storyline. That means the alternate version of the dark, climactic scene has now been written and has its own CG, replacing the placeholder art from before, and the epilogue is now also illustrated!

Public Release 0.1608.1: New Nozomi Trance Path Ending!

Hi, everyone!

This update sees the new Nozomi Trance story path written up to a conclusion! To find the new path, begin the game on Nozomi's route, give her a reinduction trigger and on the weekend convince her to stay.

There are a couple of caveats when playing this story, though. For one thing, while it's fully playable and enjoyable regardless of your prior choices, the much more complete version of the climactic scene can only be witnessed if one has chosen to tickle Nozomi earlier in the story before it branches into this one. The new CG art is in this version of the story and is looking rather glorious if I do say so myself ^^;

Selecting the choice that isn't tickling will still give a story that's playable to the end, only the climactic scene contains placeholder art assets and an unfinished script that will be completed for next month.

And that concludes another year of free monthly updates for Penlight~ Enjoy the holiday season and I'll see you next year ^.^

Hello, everyone!

For this update I fancied taking a crack at another one of the unethical story paths yet to be written... I'm not sure I even *have* any ethical paths left to write at this point?!

In this one, taking place about midway through Nozomi's Trance storyline, Kyou compells Nozomi to stay with him for pretty much the entire weekend instead of fulfilling her prior obligations. It's about 40-50% complete, including one CG, and there's a rough outline written for the rest of the path. Go see!

And in keeping with the Nozomi focus, I've also added a new CG to her original Trance storyline. This one shows up in the final third if you want to find and check it off your gallery list!

I hope to have this story path finished in time for next month, so in the meantime please enjoy this latest update and I'll see you next time~

This latest update brings with it another new ending! This one's on Hiroko's Ticklish story path, where Kyou makes a different choice during the crucial meeting with her on the school rooftop, with new artwork made just for the occasion. Go read it ^^

Last month's ending on Nozomi's Reversal storyline also got a bit more attention, with some edits to the epilogue script and a proper CG to close it all out.

Penlight Public Release 0.1600.1: Sayori Alter Storyline Completion!

400,000 words! xD

This update, beyond that awesome milestone, completes the storyline I've been writing for Sayori's Alter path. I don't think it's as good as some of Sayori's other stories, but on reflection this one's not so bad overall, with some fun character moments and some lovely CG scenes, including two new ones with this update. I hope you guys enjoy reading it!

Next month will see the addition of a big CG to close out this storyline, plus I'll have something written for one of the other unwritten story paths still to come. So enjoy the latest release and I'll see you then~

Hi, everyone!

As expected, my work on Sayori's latest Alter story path continued with this update. I was able to turn a lot of that rough dialogue and outline from before into some proper script and, following some of the feedback I got, reworked some of the earlier scenes too to keep the story somewhat more consistent. We also have two new CGs for this path, with one appearing in one of its earliest scenes and one in the most recently-written. See what you think!

For next month I'll continue working on this story path now that the finish line's in sight. There's just one big scene to come which could be a ton of fun to close with, but it's going to be some challenge to write. See how I get on in August and in the meantime, please enjoy this month's release~

Hey, everyone!

This month saw me pick up Sayori's most recent Alter story path again after having left it hanging earlier in the year. I'd been meaning to get back to it for some time now, and while I couldn't get much dialogue written I did manage to sketch out a tentative outline for the path all the way through to the end! Finishing the thing properly is going to be one of my goals for next month.

I also struggled on with one of the branch paths for Nozomi's Zombie Storyline, following some reader feedback I got last time (Hint: It's the one involving a whisper). There isn't much that's new, but I did at least work out the bulk of the next scene which sets us up for some more penlight-related shenanigans in the story to follow.

On the art side of things, two new CGs have been added.  One for Hiroko's Gullible story path and one for Nozomi's previously-completed path on her Zombie storyline.

Anyway, that's your lot for another month and yeah, next time we should see a lot more movement on finishing Sayori's latest storyline! Hope you look forward to it :)

Hi, folks!

This month's release adds a little content to two previously greyed-out story paths on Nozomi's "Zombie" storyline, and develops the open path of Sayori's Alter storyline a tad further. I couldn't write nearly as much as I wanted for any of these paths, but we'll get there in the end~

And that, aside from a couple new illustrations, is all for this time. I'll keep working on all these ongoing story paths and you can see where I'm at in the next update. Bye for now :)
