"Too early?!" Angel gasped.

Angel is stunned, it always stunned him when people have some negativity towards the holidays. He knows it's a little ridiculous and he can get overzealous a bit, but how could he not when Christmas and its music represents togetherness and joy, It was a break where he could spend more time with Eileen and Zee.

"Its never too early to hear music about joy and good cheer!" Spoke Angel in a passionate fashion unusual for a man his age regarding the topic of holidays.

⸻⸻⸻ “ do you think it's too early to be playing christmas songs? ” niamh asks, stopping in her tracks when last christmas starts playing over the speakers of the thrift store. “ i always thought it was a little bit weird. like, why do people only start setting up for halloween in october, but christmas gets a head start? it isn't even a month away and we haven't had thanksgiving yet. ” she shrugs. she was never big on celebrating holidays, but it's not like she's against it, either. “ the kids keep asking when we can start decorating the classroom for christmas, but we just took down the halloween decorations a few days ago. i don't get it. ”

Angel comes home, exhausted from a long day working on motors and the like, yet also excited since coming home means seeing one of those that he loves most: The family's beloved rats; Pikachu, Raichu, Plusle and Minun. The sweetest things in his whole world, besides Zee, of course. Oh, and Eileen.

He parks the car in the driveway and speeds through the front door, giving a quick hi to Eileen, who's cleaning and then leaving before he hears a response to go to the upstairs landing. He is a man on a mission to see his beloved rats.

When he see them at the edge of the hall, all the stress and fatigue of the day just disappears as he see the rats happily scurrying around and— Ohhhh, Pikachu is up at the front of the glass, looking at him with one paw up! He's saying hi!

"Hewwo my precious babus," Angel just starts cooing, not unlike a parent to a newborn child, "Papa's back, did you miss me? I missed you!"

His endless cooing and baby talk can be heard through out the hallway.
