May I know what kind of abuse did you experience in your past, what were the signs and triggers to get out of it...

this abuse that caused my CPTSD was actually as a child from family members— but I did go on to be in abusive relationships, and in the primary one my abuser knowingly gave me the mono that caused all my chronic illnesses.

the fact that you are sending the message at all is a sign— 9 times out of 10, in a healthy relationship you do not need to question whether or not it’s healthy.

for me, it took a long time to be able to see that it was abuse because i was so used to it and had grown up with abuse my entire life. it took people in my life telling me before i realized. i don’t really feel comfortable getting into any details, but

there are tons of warning signs, and trusting your gut is super important. the bottom line i’d say is this: if you do not feel absolutely safe, respected, loved, seen— you’re in murky waters.
