My head is so full of Angel the series and I am actually (maybe unpopular opinion?) not that enthusiastic about the new series cause I love Angel so much that I don’t want to see an older, human version of him. I know nothing has been confirmed and I’m happy for the reboot to be happening in general… I just really think his character should be left alone. Or at most referenced but never on screen… just let me keep lil S5 Angel as my ever lasting version of him pls and thanks

My understanding of btvs vamps is that they do have active metabolisms… harmony makes reference to pigs blood being fattening, spike says he has to work out to stay in shape… but also angel DOES gain weight through each season of ATS.

I could write a whole thing about why it’s relevant to his characterisation in ats despite it not being a deliberate choice for production (I know DB had a knee injury preventing as much exercise as he had been able to do previously)

talking still about cordelia and angel being these larger than life figures in the PTB sense— how crazy is it that they both end up being symbols of the mission for one another. cordelia comes to LA and sees angel as the personification for the fight against evil, and angel sees cordelia as a symbol of the world he’s trying to fight for. they look at each other and see their purpose in the world. what the hell

underrated reason why cangel works is I think of all the human buffyverse characters cordelia is absolutely the one who'd get the most enjoyment out of other people thinking she has a 20something year old boytoy following her around when she's in her 50s. she may have been through a lot of character development but she's still a little shallow and I think vampires not aging is a plus as far as she's concerned
