As a trans woman you can generally expect not to be believed about most things: The legal processes you've navigated, effects you've had from transition care, what you had for breakfast, and so on.
But there's one major exception, which is when you're clearly joking.
If you say something like "I'm going to forcefem Richard Nixon for his crimes", you will be subjected to a person who fully and entirely believes that:
You possess the infrastructure and resources necessary to operate a real life forcefemming dungeon sophisticated enough to forcefem not just any captive, but a US President
You intend to wield the power of this forcefem dungeon over political disagreements, and are taking active steps to do so
Your intended target is Richard Nixon, famously a corpse who has been dead for 30 glorious, Nixonless years, and you are apparently going to be able to put him in a state that would be receptive to forcefemming, which is generally understood to require a subject who is alive
Despite the evidence that you are a necromancer with substantial kidnapping abilities, you are receptive to being informed, in a strongly worded post of concern, that necromantic forcefem is immoral.
And once they've caught you in your dastardly scheme, they will not relent at attempts to clarify

behold! pre-designated study blog lev!
23/04/22
Hello hello! I haven't checked in for a while, but that's because I've been quite busy. Last I checked in with you, I was getting ready for my sail training up north. Well, I did my sail training earlier this week, and it was awesome!
Since then, I've done a bit of exploring before coming home. The museum up there is great! But I'm glad to be back. I've really missed everybody here while I was gone (especially my cats!)
I've tried my best to be productive since I got home, but its only been a day so I've mostly just played D&D. So much D&D. Three separate campaigns in two days, two of which I was DMing! It's great, but also quite tiring.
(i love those dice though man, I want them)
As for today, my plan is to get some college work done. I have a bit of a backlog to catch up on from my jaunt up north, so that's todays task. Its still pretty early morning, so I hope I can stick to that.
Question(s) of the day
April 16th - do you use a tote bag or a simple backpack?
I actually use a messenger bag! Mine is a black canvas one with a LOT of pockets, and I've used it for a few years now. It's very comfy, and does what I need it to do very well.
April 17th - do you celebrate Easter, Ramadan or any religious holiday this month?
Somewhat, yeah! Ostara is this month, as is Easter. Easter though, I'm not gonna lie, a big piece of the appeal is the half-price chocolate the week after...
April 18th - take it easy today. what’s your way of connecting with your soul?
Hmm. I definitely need to more, honestly, but the way I connect with myself varies. I have a lot of different ways of doing things, but my current favourite is journalling of a sort. I find it quite peaceful to be able to look back and see a snapshot of my past self, there on the page or the screen.
April 19th - do you feel steady and ready right now? vent, if you’d like.
Somewhat. I'm a little fragile, but I think I'm doing good otherwise. Hopefully I'll feel better as the day goes on.
April 20th - do you do rest days?
Yep! Sunday is my self-designated 'I don't have to do anything' day, mainly because the library is closed on Sundays. I sometimes do things on Sunday too though, just depends on how I feel.
April 21st - evening in the garage or morning in the park?
Mornings in the park! I used to wake up super early with my brother in the summer and go for a long walk to watch the sunrise. There was this one bench we always sat on that had a clear view out to the ocean... Anyways. Parks are nice!
April 22nd - what’s your current/future major?
Hmm. Great question. I'm still not super sure. I think maybe mental health nursing? It's one I've felt drawn to. I've considered a lot of options, though.
April 23rd - organise or improvise?
I try to be organised, but lets face it, I don't really succeed most of the time! I tend to be a weird mixture of both. I'll make a plan, but keep it vague so I can change it up as I go.

suddenly remembering the time i realised that i was old enough that calling my mother "mummy" felt immature and uncool for the first time and when she asked me why i stopped i went and grabbed the world history encyclopedia off the shelf and flipped to the ancient egypt section and pointed at the bandage-wrapped corpse on the page and asked her "do you want to be this"

Sunday 13th April 2025
Another long lie today - Sundays are days of rest - but I got up on my own terms at least. Started the day off pleasantly by spending some time with my cat and doing a little self-care. Made a cup of tea and a quesadilla with scrambled egg for breakfast (I don't have a huge amount in the house right now so I'm trying to use up what I have, and besides, I was hungry), and sat down to get right in to my studies.
I started off with a little bit of tidying in my notion dashboard - I'm very happy with how it looks now, it'll be all ready to go when term starts - mainly just adding a section for the clubs/societies I intend to join and sorting out individual pages for the classes I'll be taking in year 1 - and then pulled out my anatomy and physiology textbook to start digitizing my notes for it. I like using pen-and-paper notes a lot, but I also like having a digital note bank for studying on the go. It helps me draw links between topics more easily, being able to interlink all my notes in whichever way I like, rather than having them in a single order and having to flip back and forth. Plus, it's easier when you're on the go - having it on my phone and my laptop is very convenient.
Also, while I'm writing this post, I've noticed my sentences can become sinfully long. I made one sentence into an entire paragraph. Yikes. I need to cut down on the parentheses.
Anyways, the rest of my day was spent on yet more laundry (one must imagine Sisyphus happy...) and then attending Palm Sunday mass at my local Catholic parish. It's my first time attending a Catholic mass, and I actually liked it a lot. I may go back for the rest of Holy Week.
I also put in my scholarship application, which was both quite stressful and less so than I expected, and started looking at accommodation for university. That was remarkably stressful. Trying to find somewhere that allows pets is not the most fun thing. I have found a few potential options though.
I am very determined that Salem is coming with me. I'm not leaving her behind after everything we've been through together already.
That being said, would you all like to see her?

Here she is! She's a lovely little black cat, with a tiny white spot on her chest and a white patch on her belly. You can't really see her tummy patch most of the time though, it's hidden by her legs. Her favourite foods are the star-shaped treats I buy her at the garden centre and also cheese, because no matter how hard I try to hide the cheese from her she always gets her nose into it somehow. She's very sweet. Unfortunately she does often show this by biting people, but she never really bites hard enough to break skin, so you can tell she's just playing. I love her more than life itself.
Can you tell I am a very proud cat roommate.
Anyway, after stressing myself out with uni accommodation I settled down to watch some youtube and go to sleep.
God bless and good luck in all your studies, folks. I'll see you again tomorrow.

Saturday 12th April 2025

Today has been an interesting day. I was off work today, so I let myself have a little lie in, but was... somewhat rudely awoken by my doorbell at around 11am. After that, I figured it was past time to be productive.
I started with a few household chores - dishes, laundry, the Sisyphean tasks that they are - and generally tidying up a bit. I was ill recently, and the cat likes to make messes, so I had to clean up all the things I was too sick to tidy before. It looks much better now though.
Once the general chores were done, I sat down to study - mainly preparing for uni in September. I'm utterly terrified - it's a huge change, and I have to move halfway across the country for it - but I'm also ecstatic. It's a new chapter of my life, one I'm rather looking forward to under all the anxiety.
I've been in quite a reflective mood today. I'm unsure why - perhaps its simply the weather? - but its just how it's been.
That being said, I should possibly go in to a bit more detail on my studies, since this is what this tumblr is meant for.
It's nothing too interesting - I was copying all of the information about my course modules (what they should contain, how they're assessed, the recommended reading for each) into a database - well, two databases interlinked, since several of the recommended readings were relevant to more than one module, and this lets me draw connections more easily between the modules and their readings, seeing which ones have referenced similar articles. It took me a little while, but it's there now, and it's already being very helpful - its helped me identify a few textbooks that would probably be beneficial to own, as they're relevant to several modules. If it's only relevant to one or two, I figured I can probably just read them in the library as needed, but if they're relevant to a fair few that feels like time to get a copy.
After that, I spent some time on call with my boyfriend - we try to call at least once every other day, and chat every day at least, though we sometimes don't get much time together, with both of us working a lot and living in different cities. He's about an 8 hour journey away from me, and thats incomprehensibly sad to me. At least when I go to uni, he'll only be about three or four hours away...
Anyway. We hung out for a bit, which was lovely, then he went to bed and I settled down to destress with some sims and a nice cup of tea. I tried a new tea today - I usually drink the pukka night time tea to get to sleep, which is a sort of floral one, with oatflower and lavender, but today I tried the twinings one, which is spiced apple and vanilla. It tastes like a warm hug from the inside and smells like Christmas with all the spices, its lovely and I will be having it again. I own a lot of teas, and a lot of coffees too. I like my herbal teas and my fancy homemade espresso (I love my espresso machine...) too much to not, I suppose.
Anyways, that was today's studying. I fell asleep not long after that (thus the posting the next morning - I think this system will work well for the future.)
God bless and good luck with your own studies today, everybody.
See you tomorrow! :D

Introduction/Pinned Post
────•⋅⊰‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙⊱⋅•────
Hello, dear visitor, and welcome to my tumblr! I'm relatively new to posting on tumblr, honestly, though I've lurked and reblogged on main for years, so forgive me if I don't entirely seem to know what I'm doing. This is my pinned post, which I'll use as a little introduction and also perhaps add on to if there's anything important that I think people would like easy access to (e.g. taglists)
────•⋅⊰‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙⊱⋅•────
Basic Information:
First, lets get the usuals out of the way. My name is Lev, you may call me by that or by either of my urls (this one, angelusaquilo, or my main, starstruckskies) if you wish to interact with me. I'm 19 at time of writing, but turning 20 in a month or so, and I'll be starting nursing school about three months after that. I have a cat, who is just over a year old, and her name is Salem - she is essentially my child, I love her. She'll probably appear in a few of these. Pronoun wise, I couldn't really care less in most cases, but I generally prefer neutral pronouns. Feel free to just pick any neopronoun, I think they're great fun, or just stick to the classics. I live in the north of Scotland - thus the title, angelus aquilo, angel of the north - and will be attending university there too.
────•⋅⊰‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙⊱⋅•────
What this blog is about:
Largely, this is for posting my own study journey and daily life (a very classic blog activity) but also to perhaps see and share others' experiences too. I'll likely share more than just the aesthetic images and academics - as I say on my main, I'm someone of many interests, and while this blog is more strictly school-and-study based, it's likely my other interests will bleed through. Filter that out if you wish, I will attempt to tag it if it's significant. There will be cat pictures. Also potentially pictures of the city I'll be studying in. And cool bugs I see (secondary fact: I'm fond of most bugs, excepting spiders).
────•⋅⊰‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙⊱⋅•────
Things you should know: (before you follow)
I'm a chronic yap. Honestly and truly, as you may have noticed, I write, a lot, and I don't see that changing any time soon. If you don't like longer posts, this maybe isn't for you. If you do, maybe it is! My interests are greatly varied, but include history, languages, and literature (classical and modern) on the academic side, and various video games and shows/movies on the more modern side, though I'll be frank and say I'm not usually a TV person. I binge the occasional anime with my boyfriend, or watch something if I think it looks interesting, but I'm no movie buff. G (my partner) is though. Oh, and he'll be mentioned again, no doubt. I've been told I never shut up about him. If I'm sharing snippets of my own life, you'll see bits of my general interests and day-to-day, be it home about, on campus, or out on placement. Expect random quotes, screenshots, photos, a bit of a mixed-media journal type experience.
Additional note - many of my posts will likely mention my own exploration of faith - if this bothers you and you intend to stick around, block the tags pre-emptively, though it may be mentioned (untagged) as part of my daily life. I wouldn't describe myself under any particular branch of christian faith, especially being a trans bisexual individual, but I find faith and identity are not always mutually exclusive. I'll tag any posts specifically around faith-based studies for the sake of others, though. I know some (including myself, historically) are uncomfortable with the topic and I'd like to avoid causing undue distress.
────•⋅⊰‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙⊱⋅•────
Taglists:
Will probably commonly use these tags -
#studyblr - visibility + community
#nursing - my study area
#nursingstudent - visibility + community
#university - visibility + community
#cats of tumblr - see salem! she's cute, i promise :)
#biblestudy - does what it says on the tag, feel free to filter
