the thing i like the least about the first frost is sang yan. there's much less thought given to his interiority than say su haoan or zhong siqiao, who both have separate and rich lives apart from the main pair and each other. other than that he likes wen yifan do we know how he feels about anything, even his sister? part of this is regrettably bai jingting, who doesn't seem well suited to this sort of gruff, taciturn character. i only know the character's meant to be like that because the other characters keep saying it. maybe its the direction in general but since the other actors are killing it i doubt it. Loved him in reset and new life begins so I hope he does more comedic or action oriented roles.

the thing i love the most about the first frost is that it isn't just sang yan. there are so many people who show wen yifan real kindness and real warmth, and they're all a part of her recovery. from her childhood best friends to the dancers she met in hong kong, so many people love her. and she'll recover! not just through romance, but through love.

You can't tell me that if the intern was ugly, this wouldn't be framed as cute but super creepy. Things that he did that make me uncomfortable and would've definitely make FL uncomfortable if her character was consistent.

Twinkling Watermelon review

watched all of twinkling watermelon and i've got to say Choi Hyun-wook is blindingly bright as Ha Yi-chan with his used car salesman brashness and full bodied physical performance. Almost everybody else does alright (Shin Eun-soo does a lovely job) but the biggest detractor is its disregard of deaf viewers (why is the signing not in frame?) and second is its half baked fantasy element (it'd be a more cohesive show if they'd just set it in the 90s or given the time travel more thought).
