Sasha here, Alexei’s right, speech to text is horrible. Lily asked me to get this all on film and I’m doing my best, but she also asked me to get a ‘haunt journal’ entry of what we’re doing, and the only way I feel I can do that is by talking it out. I’m trying to be quit- siri no replace quit with quiet- so that I don’t interfere with whats on camera.
Lily set up the ouija board in the grass with a fire resistant tarp underneath. She set up candles all around and doused it with holy water. We’re currently waiting for it to try enough to catch on fire, but the wind is going wild right now. The candle wicks are burning brighter and brighter and brighter despite the wind, and I have no idea how they’re not being put out.
Oh god- one of the candles fell over and lit the grass-
Fuck- Lily can’t light the matches to get the board burned
She tosses the board onto the burning grass and-
Nothing.
Everything is quiet suddenly, the candles are all out and there’s no wind.
There’s not even the soft coo of the birds in the area.
Lily looks at me and- blood. She has blood everywhere.
Hazel collapses to the ground, shaking violently. I don’t know what to do anymore.
My head is hurting. I don’t think I can…do anything anymore. I can’t feel my body.
I’m sorry…

So Update again?? Alexei is apparently also a demon? He thinks what the pastor said will work, but he’s not really willing to go with us. He doesn’t know if exercising the demon that's possessing him will kill him, and apparently the thing is named Aren, and it’s not willing to leave on its own and refuses to say SO we’ll go alone. The hospital also said that it’s not a good idea for him to leave so early anyway.
I don’t know how to feel about Alexei being possessed, but it’s honestly like the least of my worries right now. It’s been like 6-7 years since the possession happened if he’s telling the truth and like, I feel like it would have killed us by now if it had wanted to.
His dad is staying with him, so Hazel, Sasha, and I will go back to the field tonight and try to get rid of the spirit. Wish us luck!

UPDATE so the last church we went to did have some helpful advice. They advised us to douse the ouija board in holy water, then take it to the place where we picked up the demon and burn it while reciting a prayer. They gave us a copy of the prayer with how to pronounce everything on it but it still means absolutely nothing to me. Like, Latin is so far gone, what if we still mispronounce it?
He said we should bring the person who was attacked if we can, as part of the demon might have latched on. Alexei is gonna be so so so mad at that request, but I’ll ask. Hopefully this is it, hopefully nothing else bad happens. We’re so close now, hopefully, to the end of everything. I can feel in my bones that our channel will pop right off too.
We’re gonna record the banishing ceremony, hopefully it’s good content! We’ll update you guys again as soon as possible.

OMG, finding a pastor who is willing to help with a haunting is insanely hard? Like, the movies are definitely a lie, they really aren’t interested in coming to your house and blessing things and chasing the monsters out for you. I feel like we’re on a wild goose chase. We’ve been to like, almost every church in the city and the only thing they’ve offered us is holy water. HOLY WATER. Like, c’mon, is it even gonna work if its not sprayed by a holy person?
We have one last stop and I swear to everything if they don’t have at least resources for us, I’m gonna riot. They can count their days.
Hazel wants us back at the hospital, but I’m definitely going to talk to this church first. I’ll let you guys know what happened.

I don’t…even know what to think anymore. Alexei has been lying to us, all of us, this entire time. Ghosts and demons are real and he knew? And worse, Alexei is possessed by one? Lily and Sasha aren’t around, I texted them to come back but it’ll be a while.
It’s worse, I can’t even be mad at him, cause how could he have told us before? We wouldn’t have believed him. Our whole gimmick was pretending, I’m willing to bet everyone would have thought he was kidding.

Alexei here, speech to text still fucking sucks, but Hazel is gonna proofread it for me. Let me be so clear here, I was fully aware that demons and ghosts were real the whole time, but I didn't want to say anything because I knew it would make Sasha feel awful and Lily would never leave me alone.
When I was in high school, Sasha took me to my first party. I didn’t want to be left alone, but…things happen. We got separated and while I was standing in a corner, someone I didn’t know pulled me over to play with a ouija board.
I don’t remember much of what happened once my hands touched the planchet…but I do remember waking up in a hospital, blind, and with something else in my head with me. He introduced himself as Aren and told me he’d failed to fully possess me after I let him into my body. He only was able to possess my eyes, and since then, I can only see ghostly energy, everything else is completely gone.
I think the only thing that saved me from that demon they brought home with them is the fact that Aren is possessing my body already and fought it off. I’m more worried about one of them getting possessed too. If the demon who followed them is stronger or higher level…there’s no way it fails to possess the way Aren did.
He would like me to tell you guys he is a strong demon, but would we really be here like this if that were true?

I’m staying at the hospital with Alexei and his dad. Sasha couldn’t stand to stay, I think he feels guilty, and Lily kept insisting she go to the churches in the area cause it’s her fault. I don’t think there’s anyway we could have known.
I personally always believed ghosts were real, but not that they could touch the living world, and definitely not that ouija boards could bring things into the real world. I thought Lily rigged the damn thing with a magnet or something when it started moving.
The house has been, to put it lightly, absolutely hellish to live in. For some reason, I’m the only one Alexei is willing to talk to right now.
He had to get over 200 stitches in his back and arms. I can’t believe this happened, he looks horrendous. We truly aren’t that close, he’s kinda weird usually, but I feel so bad now. His father has been extremely angry with all three of us, but I can take it. It is kinda our fault anyway.
Hopefully, Lily finds a good solution to everything.
Alexei has been whispering to himself and I just hope that possession isn’t real, cause what if the thing we summoned went into him?

So, I definitely fucked up this time. We heard screaming in the middle of the night, and when we ran into the living room, Alexei had huge scratches down his back and arms. He was bleeding like crazy and we had to call an ambulance.
We brought something home with us.
It’s been about two weeks since we contacted the ghost? Demon? Over the ouija board and…we didn’t close out the conversation. I think Alexei called it a window? I’m not sure. I think the thing was trying to kill him tonight.
The house has ended up trashed multiple times and something keeps putting rotting food in front of his door. His room is never trashed, but everything around the doorway is fucked way more than the rest of the house. We’re not sure why it wants him so bad specifically.
Sasha said we should try burning the board but what if it doesn’t help?
Everything online seems to not take getting rid of a poltergeist or demon seriously. Like, honestly, up until a few weeks ago I wouldn’t have either. Who would have thought they are real anyway? We’re waiting to get to go see him after surgery, and then we’re going to talk to a priest.
His dad is mad. He’s been scolding Sasha a lot. I guess something happened with Alexei and ouija boards in the past. If I had known…

Ugh, I knew I shouldn’t have let Lily use that ouija board, Alexei is piiiiiissed at me specifically. I knew this was gonna happen.
Weird shit has been happening around the house and the tension is crazy. Things keep disappearing or being moved. The cabinets are slamming constantly and the couches will be flipped over in the mornings. It’s tripping Alexei up pretty bad cause he’s used to the layout being one way and its all the other way.
I think we might have ended up bringing a poltergeist or something home, which is not something I ever thought I’d say. Like, ghosts aren’t real right? I didn’t think so at least.
I know we have tons of videos n shit on the channel with ‘proof’ but it’s all so easy to fake. This shit? It’s crazy. I don’t even know what to do at this point, but I’m tired of the tension and Alexei not talking to me. Maybe it’ll go away on it’s own, it’s not like it’s been hurting us, it’s just been rearranging the furniture.
I guess I’ll have Lily look into it, research isn’t my strong suit, and maybe see if Alexei wants to stay with his dad for a bit.

Hey, Alexei here, this stupid speech to text thing barely works. I don’t know what they did yesterday but something followed them home. The energy is weird, I can’t quite tell if it's bad or not. None of them were possessed, luckily, but there’s something in our home now.
I can’t pinpoint what it’s attached to. It could be the board, it could be Lily. She’s so fucking stupid sometimes, who fucks with ouija boards like that. It’s never ghosts, it’s always demons. Trust me, I would know.
Hopefully this one is easy to get rid of.

Well, it’s safe to say Alexei is pissed about the ouija board thing, but after all the times we got no evidence and then this? It was almost a better psychic than him, but its not like I’d ever tell him that (and he doesn’t and can’t really read the blog) soooo. I have no idea how he found out tho, and Sasha swears up and down he didn’t say anything.
We walked through the door and Alexei yelled at me to take the board back outside. It was like he suddenly could see again, he looked feral. He started yelling about not closing the window and then ran back into his room and slammed the door. TBH, I’m not feeling that bad about it, like we communicated with a real life ghost on camera! Alexei will recover, but this will truly truly make the channel go viral!

Jennie Wade House
The Jennie Wade house, a beautiful piece of history near the Gettysburg battlefield. Mary Virginia Wade, better known as Jennie Wade, was at her sister’s house on July 3rd, making bread for the Union side when a bullet pierced the house and tragically killed her. It’s rumored that nearly 150 bullets from both sides hit the house that day.
Interestingly enough, there’s an urban legend that states if you put your ring finger in the bullet hole in the interior door, you may be proposed to within the year. That’s kind of dark considering what that bullet proceeded to do.
Today, November 7th, we’ll be investigating the Jennie Wade house after closing, and then heading out onto part of the battlefield. Tonight is an extra special occasion, as Alexei won’t be joining us, we’ll be able to use a ouija board. Personally, I don’t get all the hype or why Alexei hates them so much, but maybe we’ll be able to communicate with a real life spirit! Of all the videos we’ve done, we’ve never gotten to use a ouija board before.
Here is our haunt journal:
I’m optimistically cautious about using the ouija board today. On one hand, I do think Alexei will kill us when we finds out (especially after what happened in highschool), on the other hand, with him gone we do need an extra hand with the psychic aspects.
I can already tell trying to get this written and filming at the same time is gonna be a pain, but Lily practically begged me on her knees so that she could use the board. I honestly think we should have just postponed this trip instead of messing with something known to be so dangerous in this community.
I can never say no to any of these guys though, so heeeeere we are. Anyway, the house itself was pretty boring, there was a lot of history stuff that Lily cared about and Alexei would want to hear but it wasn’t really my thing. Jennie is a hero for sure, but we didn’t catch any activity on camera or any of our recording machines. Lily and Hazel both stuck their ring fingers in the hole from the urban legend.
The really cool stuff started when we went out to the field where some of the fighting happened. Lily and Hazel set up the board on the grass and set the planchet down, and it moved before they even touched it, sliding over to the ‘hello’ option.
I can’t believe we’re getting footage of a ouija board being used! It really is the stuff of legends. They talked with it for a while and it seems to be a young soldier who served the union side. We even got some crisp recordings of his voice and a few flashes of light on film. The video will come out as soon as we can get it uploaded, but I can confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that at least the field by the Jennie Wade house is haunted.

Mishler Theater
Mishler Theater, a beautiful, historical theater in Altoona. Built in 1906 and then rebuilt 1907 after a tragic fire, the theater stands as a proud piece of Pennsylvanian history. There have been several classical signs of haunting here, such as cold spots, eerie voices, shadows, and orbs. They offer ghost tours of the area and even agreed to let us run an investigation during the night!
Today, November 4th, we’ll be going on their last ghost tour of the day, and then after a quick dinner, we’ll be setting up our equipment and doing an investigation in the place after closing. The legends state that you can sometimes see shadows sitting in the theater seats and the mirrors in the dressing rooms may fog as if someone is applying their makeup with their face too close to the glass.
We will set up cameras in all the main rooms of the theater, but the ones we want to spend the most time in are the main stage area and the dressing room.
Below is our haunt journal.
From the moment we stepped inside with the ghost tour, I knew this place had different energy than the McConnell place. All of my research led me to believe that the theater is truly haunted, so many eye witness accounts of ghostly activity! Alexei told me he didn’t feel anything, but I think that will change later! There’s no way, with all the other people coming out with real evidence, we don’t get something too!
I mainly wanted us on the ghost tour so I could get more background information from the tour guide. I love learning the history of the places we visit. Even if we don’t get evidence, at least I get to make a super cool journal about what I learn.
The ghost tour was super short but we got so much good b roll footage. We’re gonna review it over dinner to see what we got.
And OMG get something we did. We get a clip in the dressing room with orbs. Unfortunately with how loud everyone else was, we couldn’t tell if the whispering came with it like it often does, but evidence!! Is all that matters! Ahh, the level of excitement everyone felt when we realized we finally got something on camera. I’ll post a screencap with this journal, but we’ll post the footage in a couple weeks!
After dinner we headed back to the theater and set up all our equipment. As always, we put cameras in every room along with audio recorders so that any super shy ghosts are able to appear if they’d like to while we’re in the other room. We started recording with our personal camera on the main stage while facing the audience. When standing up there with the lights on me, it almost felt like I could see something moving around the chairs in front of me. After standing up there for long enough without saying anything, we heard the subtle thump thump thump of several theater chairs being vacated all at once. It almost seemed like we could see a huge shadow head towards the doors, as if a play had just finished.
Alexei collapsed on the stage after the shadows left, quivering and pale. He said the energy of so many ghosts trying to communicate with him had sapped everything out of him. We ended up leaving shortly after and decided to get the equipment in the morning, since making sure Alexei was okay was more important, but we’re hoping we caught some activity in the dressing room as well.
We can confirm that Mishler Theater is haunted! And a really cool place to visit. Please check it out next time you’re planning a trip to Pennsylvania!

McConnell's Mill State Park - Haunted or Bust?
McConnell’s Mill State Park, a beautiful and expansive historical area in Pennsylvania, reputed to be incredibly haunted by several named and unnamed ghosts. The most renowned ghost in the area is the former caretaker, Moses Whorton.
Tonight, November 1st, 2024, we are going to investigate the grounds and try to summon Moses Whorton by the Mill. Moses patrols the grounds of the state park, protecting the mill from any intruders. Reports state that honking your car is supposed to summon the ghost, who will approach aggressively with some sort of weapon.
The second part of our investigation of the park will lead us to McConnell’s Mill Covered Bridge, where legend has it a young girl died in a horrific accident. As the story goes, you have to park on the bridge with all your cars lights out and honk three times, and an apparition will appear in your rearview mirror. Turning to view her directly, however, will have her disappearing on you.
Below is our haunt journal.
We arrived at the state park super early, way earlier than we needed to be there. Sasha didn’t tell us beforehand, but he wanted to hike the Hell’s Hollow Trail, a short, easy hike to a waterfall with views of the limestone kiln that gave the trail its name. Alexei didn’t want to, but was easily persuaded. Sasha is good like that, easily convincing the group to join him. We had a small lunch in the car before heading out. It was midafternoon, several hours before we could even begin to test the haunts in the area.
As always, Sasha had his camera out for the entire hike, recording everything ‘just in case’. Apparently there could be smoke coming out of the kiln or spirits wandering around the trail or some orbs. Optimistic for proof as always.
The hike was beautiful, but uneventful. Rerunning the footage didn’t reveal anything we didn’t see with our eyes either. To be fair, Alexei didn’t notice anything on the hike either, and he’s our psychic.
Lily decided to not come on the hike, instead she ran around the mill and visitor center, getting as many answers to her questions as she could. According to the park rangers, there aren’t any actual spirits on the grounds, they are just urban legends started by kids in the past to have fun. She seemed undeterred as she described another visitor's encounter with an orb moving around in a window of the mill at night.
I wasn’t sure what to think. It’s possible the park rangers try to discourage people from staying in the park so late by debunking the theories. They also expressed how much we should not park on the bridge at night with our lights off, as this causes a huge safety hazard for any other vehicles or any hikers trying to move across the bridge, but I don’t think it will change our plans. We don’t intend to stay on the bridge that long.
After discussing Lily’s findings, Sasha went on a few more short hikes around the area for footage. Lily tagged along with him, while Alexei and I stayed in the car.
Around midnight, it was finally time for the first test.
Sasha parked the car in the middle of the road by the mill. We all waited with baited breath until the sharp honk of the vehicle tore through the night air. After a few moments of nothing, Sasha honked again. Alexei shook his head and let us know that he felt nothing different. The EMF in Lily’s hands stayed at their normal levels.
The disappointment was palpable in the car. Sasha backed up and moved back into the parking lot for the mill. One last honk ripped through the night, a last plea to the ghosts in the area to show themselves.
A light appeared in the distance, and all cameras immediately faced towards it. It got closer and closer, faster than was comfortable. Even Sasha seemed nervous briefly, until we saw someone in their pajamas.
The camper asked us to stop, as the honking was keeping him and his family awake. He told us it’s all urban legends, and we’re just being annoying. Sure, maybe. But we have every right to this area as he does.
Sasha moved the car to the bridge, parking directly in the center. The car hummed and the lights illuminated the darkness for several moments. Lily joked that Sasha is scared, and the cars lights suddenly turned out. Three sharp honks echoed in the enclosed space, and all cameras focused on the rearview mirror, hoping and waiting for the young girls spirit to appear, but it never came and our machines never lit.
Well, it’s a bust.
McConnell Mill State Park is not haunted, it’s all urban legends (and some pissed off campers).
We won’t be sharing our footage, as it’s a lot of nothing. Next time, we hope to get some good footage for everyone.

Location Wish List
Deamons and Ghosts Inc are located in Pennsylvania, meaning we have access to some of the best haunted locations in the United States. So many old and abandoned buildings around with lots of history and stories to tell.
Check out some sites our group would love to visit!
Centralia
The idea of getting to visit an entire abandoned town that inspired a video game is cool. I've heard that in brief breaks in the smoke, there have been shadow people. I would love to learn their stories. For me, finding spirits is about learning the past and telling their stories. I've lost so much in my life, but I'd want to be remembered still.
Centralia is dangerous, and the government rarely if ever lets people in, but it's still something that intrigues me deeply. Honestly, if we have to break in, I would. Not really. But definitely. I want to go at least once.
Alexei
The Seven Gates of Hell
According to myth, an asylum once stood on the grounds that burned down, and whichever patients didn't die in the fire were trapped and killed. In reality, a hurricane destroyed part of the road. The Seven Gates in the area were said to have been used to contain the patients, but are actually in place to keep trespassers out of the area.
Legend has it that anyone who walks through all seven gates will be teleported straight to hell. Scary? Yes. Terrible? Of course. But that doesn't stop me from wanting to test that theory at my earliest convenience. Alexei says we should leave it alone but who wouldn't want to prove that wrong? That's a crazy legend. Also the name is badass. The owners call the police a lot, but like, what if we just kinda snuck in?
Lily
Hotel Bethlehem
Supposedly the most haunted hotel in all of Pennsylvania and will likely be the only one we can legally enter on this list. The fact that we could get woken up by a ghost? Both infuriating and super legit. Plus, Lily says that we could actually talk to them there, and that'd make for some cool content.
Hazel
City Tavern
Partially burned down in the 1800s and rebuilt in the 1900s to preserve the history. There's rumors of a bride who passed away appearing to people both in photographs and real life. Supposedly, you can even ask to sit in the haunted section. I think it would be nice to go to a place where you can get haunted while you eat for once.
It's great to get out to the middle of no where every once in a while, but the eating picnic food or not eating at all is crazy, and honestly I don't think our group eats enough in general. It would be a great way to wind down while still making some content. I'd honestly be down to visit any haunted restaurants or taverns. Bring em on.

Our Equipment and Recommendations
At Deamons and Ghosts Inc, we use several pieces of standardized ghost hunting equipment. Let's take a look at our main pieces below:
Spirit Box
Our spirit box is a more sophisticated version of a radio that connects to a blue tooth speaker. We only use this when Alexei isn't present because it can conflict with his psychic abilities. If you want to create one at home, you can do a little DIY on a standard radio by disabling the part that stops between station or you can get a cheap one on Amazon to get started! We have found that this is the best way to communicate with spirits when our medium isn't around.
Make sure you always record everything when using a spirit box. Video and audio are important, you never know if you'll catch a flicker of a spirit in the background right when they say something.
We use the below spirit box from Amazon:

You can find the same one here.
Cameras
At every haunt we investigate, we set up stationary cameras in every room that are constantly recording, as well as motion activated cameras that take photos and videos every time something moves across our light fields. Any high quality recording device will work for the stationary cameras. We personally use go pros for continuous recording and streaming directly back to our home computers.
For our motion activated cameras, we use doorbell cameras for smaller rooms and motion sensor security cameras in bigger rooms. We use Halloween and Christmas light projectors for the light fields.
Most of these can be bought cheaply and easily online or second hand, just make sure that you test them before bringing them to a haunt! We learned that the hard way when a ghost walked through our light field in front of us, and not a single one of our cameras was actually recording! That's lost evidence and a lot of people not believing you afterwards.
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) Recorder
One of the most important things to have in your kit is an EVP recorder. These machines are crazy, they can catch sounds and noises that you didn't hear while you were on location. We recommend listening to all recordings from these devices multiple times and running them through an audio processor such as Audacity to view the noise waves and potentially locate any changes or especially different sounds.
We started with one, but saved up overtime to get about 4, so we can keep them in the most haunted rooms even when we aren't around. We love our EVP Recorders from Olympus, but there are several options. You'll just have to look into what works best for you!

EMF or Gaussmeters
EMF or Electromagnetic Field Readers are used to detect the subtle changes in the air around us and potentially reveal a spirit. Gaussmeters are more sensitive versions of the same device. Personally, we only use EMFs in our investigations, as ours have always worked perfectly fine. We use one from Amazon, but you can typically get one from a hardware store as well, as many people are concerned about the electromagnetic waves in their houses. Even a cheap one can act fairly accurately, it's just important to research and check reviews online. We use the one from Erickhill on Amazon.

And of course, you will always need a good video editing program and audio editing program. There are tons of free programs available for both, so choose one within your budget!
As always, be careful while ghost hunting, don't trespass, and if you think it might be a daemon, tread carefully! Daemons are much more dangerous than ghosts!
