one of the things i genuinely hate about being in fandoms is when people make up "rules" that you have to follow in order to be a valid enjoyer of a fandom and characters within it.

it is 2025. why are we STILL telling people how to enjoy things? you can find a character attractive and ALSO like their backstory/lore and find them intriguing as a character. there is no rule saying that if you're attracted to a character, that means you don't find them interesting on any level beyond their physical appeal.

people can enjoy things however they want. if you are someone who likes characters because they're attractive, cool! if you're someone who likes characters because of their backstories, also cool! if you're someone who likes both, that is also cool! there is no rulebook for "how to do fandom correctly" because there is no "correct" way to consume content and enjoy it. you can do it however you want. some people write super in-depth fanfiction that dives deep into a character's emotions, trauma, and backstory. some people write smut. some people write both. all it comes down to is personal preference.

if there are people in your fandom who do not enjoy fandom the same way you do, that is okay. people are allowed to enjoy fandom however they want. if for some reason, you think how another person enjoys fandom is wrong, then that's a you problem. unless that person is doing something actively harmful to others amidst their enjoyment, there is nothing wrong with it. unfollow, block, and just ignore. move on. don't make a big deal about it. there is no correct way to enjoy things. we all view things differently and enjoy them differently, so let's stop acting like there are correct and incorrect ways to do those things. it's literally just the internet and a bunch of silly stories.

tl;dr - fandom is meant to be fun so let's stop acting like there's a right and wrong way to enjoy and be part of it.

Watching flatliners and holy shit kiefer Sutherland is SO HOT. I did find him pretty in the lost boys but there’s something about this 90s-prep-boy-who’s-life-is-going-down-the-drain look in this movie that’s so sexy to me
