How do you explain that you’re not really sad and want to die but more you’re tired, empty, and can’t muster the energy to live.

I’m plagued by apathy that is cured by neither empathy or sympathy. The spark is external but there isn’t inner kindling to be lit.

It sucks seeing a friend so upset and full of grief and anguish, someone who desperately needs you and you aren't there for them. They check on you regularly but you can't muster the energy to do the same. Even when you do talk to them, you can't reassure them at all.

I know they say to make sure your oxygen mask is in place before helping others but your lungs don't inflate so wouldn't it be better to save another before you expire.

Though any advice I give would be hollow you can't sell a product you don't believe in it. At least not without a lot of charisma.

Just seeing how horrible of a friend you are but you can't say anything or even really apologize without making it about yourself.

Let the venting begin

It sucks knowing why you are upset, but there isn't a clear solution.

I crave attention, crave interaction, but making connections is hard.

I have joined a lot of new 'communities' in the recent year or so, trying to find people. Different niches that might be odd at a first glance, but I do enjoy. Talking to new people is promising, but everything is relatively surface level.
