So I tried make my version of Flishes as 3d model

I not good in 3d - love make low-poly models (becouse my computer aren't really powerful), draw textures and do basic rig, but UV still realy hard, also not figured how turn sculpt details into normal maps...
So, this model sucks little, but process was really fun! Also glossy shiny metalic mouth is ridiculously silly imho
All done in Blender, 1 day

A photobash based on the reconstruction of a mammoth in 1805, made by a merchant from Yakutsk, Roman Boltunov. He drew it from memory based on a frozen carcass he had seen in Siberia.
So, this is a good illustration of the importance of reference in drawing...

Other shots for my digital imitation of low-budget eastern stop-motion cut-out animation for my analog horror project about fungus infection are made, and this is one of them:
In this video we can see a fictional species Kikimosaur hunts Suminia.
Kikimosaurs is advanced amphibian species were similar to actual amniotes. Their roots actually can be seen only in reproduction: Kikimosaurus don't lay eggs, but develop larves inside special pocket in stomach. But there we see old reconstruction: it demonstrate questionable relationship of this species whith Longisquama and Sharovipteryx.

HELICORAPTOR – fan JW hybrid for old @mariolanzas video
Tehnically, this is are big saw-jaw budgies who love talk with eathother. And, of couse, mimic human speech and hinting in megapolises :)

Imagine in the night you taking good nap on five floor... then you suddenly awake, look around and see in window a group of big winged raptors looking directly at you. In next moment one of them shakes his head violently, his puple goes wide and it slowly say joyfully "GLASSK TOUCH PURPLE SHROCK" before happy destroing you whith his meaty-bony circle saw and mammal-poisoned sharp claws

Also why Mario take away parrot DNA from this sweety, it the most fun and important part of them (becouse parrots not only are talkactive sillies, but also have moveable upper jaw, and that really upgrades helicoprion tooth saw - and without budgies whole feature impossible)

just why
P.S. screenshot take from "Dinosaur hybrids 2: you own creations + Jurrasic Worls saga. size comparation" video
P.S.S bad english, sorry

A digital imitation of low-budget eastern stop-motion cut-out animation for my analog horror project about fungus infection.
This is part of a mockumentary paleontological film in which a relative of the synapsid Anteosaurus hunts a parareptilian Scutosaurus.
There you can see trailer on Russian: https://youtu.be/znyaXVAyXno?si=4XOtRQZxIAVfDpN7

Old anatomy study about Cablesupplies aliens who evolved from "squids" animals

Also 3d variant:
"The skull of Cablesupplies is very different from the skulls of terrestrial vertebrates. Consisting of calcified chitin, it consists of almost identical upper and lower parts, two mandibles and thin pedipalps. Let's look at each of them separately.
The head consists of 4 plates, previously forming a carapace around the head. Each of them carries one eye socket and one large fenestra. The eyes at the top are fully functional, whereas the eyeballs at the bottom only help to swallow food, as is the case with terrestrial frogs. Also on the upper plates in front there are nasal passages leading air from the upper mandible to the lungs of the trunk. Moreover, the nasal passages do not intersect with the esophagus and mouth, which is why Cablesupply can eat and breathe at the same time.
In the middle, the plates are connected by bone tissue, in which there is a bed for tissues and joints of the pedipalps. Along the edge of the plate and the bed there are ridges, to which most of the muscles of the jaws, pedipalps and necks cling.
There is no usual mouth in front of the skull - just a simple hole. It is the bone-limited size of the pharynx and oral cavity that causes Sabre-bearers to chop their prey into small pieces with the help of oral appendages and middle limbs. However, Sablenos still have full lips. this allows them not to choke on water hunting and dig the ground without eating it.
The mandibles of the Cablesupply are made of pure chitin and have notches exactly in the center. Rows of notches can be either 1 or as many as 5. At the end of both mandibles there are special movable beak-like hooks, however, in many species it is either lost or replaces the mandibles themselves. There are several nostrils on the upper mandible - one is the main one, and the others are "corrugated" slits like gills, on which olfactory receptors are abundant. These gills can work in isolation from the main nasal passage, which is why they remain functional under water. Pedipalps help Cablesupply to push food into their mouths. They consist of 3 fragments, being modified plates, mandibles and hooks. In some species, pedipalps become claws, in others they become analogous to antennas or murderous weapons. This is the most mobile part of the skull of the Saber Bearers.
Since Cablesupply do not have a spine, their neck consists of 2 bones, similar in structure to a human arm. On top of the bone is the spinal cord and trachea, and along the bottom is the esophagus. The former are protected by a special capsule of connective tissue, a layer of adipose tissue, muscles (not shown) and an analog of osteoderms."

An illustration of the Middle Jurassic salamander Urupia monstrosa, found in the Berezovsky quarry, Siberia. The amphibian is estimated to be 2 feet long.
This is part of the development of my final project at the Institute of Design - a series of prehistoric postcards about the animals of Central Siberia. This is not the final product or design.
And here is the translation of the text in the picture: "I tried to make Urupia more monstrous - now it's just a tailed horned frog".

I'm back!
There are some sketches for my spec project. For example, on first art you can see fictional spesies of Thelyphonidias (vinegar spiders): they make complex network of burrows, using vinegar for dissolving limestone (real vinegar spiders only defend themself whith this acid). Another difference between real and my Thelyphonidias? Fictional ones are blind and also bigger.
Other picture show desert descendants of Seymouria. In my opinion, Seymouria deserves more love, because they are just scaless* lizards, who lays caviar and they lavra is literally fish with fins and inner gills (in other terms they are Pokemon probably).
* Some old theory tell that early Amniote and their relatives have scales, but they wasn't fully keratinized. In fact, they was soft exept their edges. And I love this idea.
P.S. Sorry for bad English.

Jokers of Paleocards - Tullimonstrum and Longisquama!
I really enjoy them, good drawings. In Longisquama case, I make her bipedal becouse 1) we dont know back of this animal skeleton so we can speculate about that 2) I just love bipedal Longisquama reconstruction, ever I don's think they accurate.
Why they Jokers? Becouse their classification are nightmare, and mentoned animal looks also bizzare and even unpractical... Yep.

Paleocard come back! This post will not wery intresting, becouse it's about paleofossils, not animal reconstructions.

So, we have:
1) Tooth of Megalodon dad - Otodus
2) Body of some goofy precarbian animal - Dickinsonia
3) Earilest know feather from Trias - Praeornis
4) And finaly - some "scales" of Glyptodon shell
Next will be Jokers!

THE WORST RECONSTRUCTION OF A PTERANODON
I combined two theories - one crazy, the other outdated. The result was a marsupial mammalian pteranodon according to Peters*. He looks less serious than he would like, but he still deserves to be shot with an AK-47.
A photo booth based on skeletal reconstruction on the right.
Moral: know the measure in speculation.
*Note: there is an old reconstruction of pterosaurs as marsupials, and separately - Peters' idea of pterosaurs with numerous pin-shaped structures and vents, which has long been a meme.
In Peter's defense, I want to point out that I could only get a rough idea of the skeleton of various ancient reptiles on his website, since original scientific articles required access, money or a paid subscription. Yeah...
