One thing that really sucks about art is that practice is a necessity. And I mean YEARS of practice. There will be long periods of time, months and quite possibly years, where you will feel like your art is stagnating, and the solution is pretty much to research your theory, do studies, and generally just PRACTICE, and you will get there but the time it takes could be incredibly long.

There are small tips and tricks, but there's no magical solution, it's just practice, practice, practice and patience, because it will take you a long time to get where you want to in your head.

My big secret to art is to find ways to practice often and in a way that's most convenient for you, like bringing a sketchbook or tablet wherever you go. I've been doing art all my life and I'm still stuck on several things. It's a waiting game.

To be fair, this applies to a lot of other things in life. But, like... There's no escaping it. Practice.

Plan:

Wash stinky medieval outfit, buy sewing kit, sew arm holes so they aren't frayed as shit looking

Buy old timey shirt, preferably with high collar and white

Buy bright blue fabric dye, lots of. Option: buy leather vest to wear over the medieval outfit and shirt, put it the dye with the others, or leave it depending on how well you think the aesthetic will work

Dye both medieval outfit and shirt with bright blue dye, assuming the darker outfit will take less to the dye, which is OK bc it works either way

Optional: fabric softener the shit out of that medieval outfit

Buy cool blue/black/whatever mage poncho of some kind, wear over outfit

Add in scarf and blue boots accessories

Hat of some kind? Apply snake prosthetics (possibly repaint blue?)

You are done!

When I was a kid I disliked adults and now that I'm an adult nothing has changed

I still don't know what kin is. Every time someone explains it I get more confused. Like, they identify with a character so closely they feel like they almost are them? Yeah, that's me with loads of characters, but like, I'm not them. Where's the line between identifying with or as?

I need someone to outsmart me out of depression because I'm too good at coming up with arguments for things. I can think of loads of reasons why the 'it gets better' stuff is rubbish but that's because I don't have an opponent and it's not like doing that actually helps me. My brain is always coming up with new and creative ways that I will fail at x task.
