Ciel x Male!Reader: Random Talk
You and Lord Phantomhive were, unfortunately, not well acquainted with one another, so it came as a great surprise when he invited you and your servants to his birthday ball, hosted by the amazing Lady Elizabeth.
Of course, since you had no plans nor any paperwork to complete, you decided that going to at least one social event wouldn't hurt.
Oh, how you were wrong.
During the hell of a ball, you invited Finny to dance, but he ended up stepping on your foot for who knows how many times. After you recovered from the foot stomping, you were almost burned alive from Bardroys bloody flamethrower, the top of your hair turning mildly to crisp. And let us not forget the coutless times you tripped over poor Tanaka, only to fall on your face after your butler, Oliver, got annoyed of having to catch and save your bloody ass from getting dust on your suit. The only upside was being able to watch Elizabeth, a close friend, happily dance with Ciel around the ballroom, forgetting all that past drama that happened a few minutes ago before that sweet moment, oh, and the beautiful music was also a win too.
Now, after all that nonsense, you're alone in the Phantomhive Garden, complaining to yourself about why you decided it be such a good idea to break your record of isolation to attend a party that would end up in bruises for no one but you, and maybe Ciel.
You felt so dumb. Hovering your palm over the mark on your arm, you sighed deeply, regretting even opening the fucking letter.
"Sir (L/N), are you feeling alright?"
Shit.
You looked behind you, your fears being confirmed as you saw the bluenette standing straight, a smirk worth millions spread across his face. You didn't have time for this.
"Yes, I'm fine, Lord Phantomhive. Thank you for your concern." You replied, a smile adorning your features. You might as well mess with him while you're here, you didn't really have any plans to become his 'friend' anyway. "Are you satisfied with the outcome of the party, My Lord?"
Ciel chuckled. "Actually, the ball was better than I expected, but it didn't seem to go so well for you, though. I can still see a bit of ash in your hair, and your attire is filthy. It's disgusting."
You scoffed, "Says you, the one who just lost their family ring, something precious to you and your family, along with your reputation as a gentleman. You do realize you almost slapped a innocent lady, correct? It's also your fault that my attire looks like utter junk." This was fun.
Ciel, a bit irritated, looked away. "What happened in there was none of you business, Sir (L/n)."
"Maybe not, maybe so, but if I had to comfort the victim and send my butler to grab a dozen tissues, than I think I get at least to express my opinion on the matter."
Ciel grunted. "Shut up."
You laughed, loving the adorable pout on Ciel's face. "You act like a child at times."
"Excuse me?"
You picked yourself up, patting your suit to rid of dirt. After stretching, you glanced at Ciel. "I basically said that you're cute, in a way." Winking, you continued with a "Attractive too."
You yawned. "Phantomhive, darling, can you please go fetch my butler for me? I feel like it's time for me to retire, I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm pretty sure I saw him with Sebastian before I left to the garden, so go ask your petty servant where he is if you can't mine right away."
His face was red, half from pure embarrassment and half from anger. It was entertaining to look at, honestly. "I don't have to listen to your orders, you git!" He yelled.
Grinning, you nodded. "Yes, you do. I am a higher-up, y'know."
…
To be continued.
