I wanted to get this chapter finished a month ago, but I waited because this chapter felt like it should be released during Gemini season.

Or perhaps the more rational explanation is that April and May had just been really chaotic months! The highlight being that my tooth surgery was rescheduled at the last minute twice (y'all are not gonna believe why), and I coped by playing a lot of Phasmophobia, Repo, and Ace Attorney.

Another thing relative to the way the paths you take will alter who recognizes you: if you spare Haoran and make Calibur route choices initially, but venture with Dion, later on upon fighting warriors connected to the sword before the Azwel showdown, Kilik will be the only one who recognizes you, as at that point it is also Xianghua’s first time meeting you.

Locking this line behind the Soul Edge Route is foul.

Thinking back on how Ivy can be one of the greatest sympathizers when it comes to the Sword Malfested children. Judging from Zwei’s described attitude towards combat and violence (which is, by default, Soul Edge’s primary goal), it seems like not all of these little kid containers for Astral Chaos-originating souls are instantly driven to fulfill their purpose, much like Ivy’s prominent abhorrence towards her own nature as a “Soul Edge successor” via her very blood. Birthed for unwanted purposes…mhm mhm.

I think the one part of Calibur lore I still have trouble memorizing to a tee is everything pertaining to the clans(Fu-Ma, Manji), including positions, relations, etc. There is so much happening in each role that I have to do an entirely new comprehensive double-take every time I think of them. I’ll get there���soon.
