A friend asked me if I was doing Mermay and I looked at prompts and saw "lei" and thought of McCoy because why wouldn't I think of McCoy right and then I realized I was looking at the 2024 list but by then the idea was already taking root and it was too late to stop me from drawing it

A merciless cold, and a tent that cannot withstand!

Like many other countries, this year’s winter is unbearably rains, fierce winds, and extreme cold that we haven't experienced in many years.

But the difference is that we are not in a home that shields our shivering bodies; we are in a torn tent that neither blocks the cold nor stops the rain.

Yesterday, the roof of our tent was ripped off, and water seeped into our few blankets. We shivered from the cold until we felt it seep into our bones. It was a brutal night as I held my child in my arms, searching for warmth I did not have. 💔

But the hardest part is that the world thinks our suffering has ended. We are still without a home, without an income, and prices are soaring. Yet, donations have dwindled as if the pain has ceased! But it has not… We are still here, struggling to survive each day.

Please, if you are reading this, do not leave us alone. Your donation could be the difference between another night of torment or a moment of warmth that we so desperately need. 🙏

All thanks and gratitude for your humanitarian stances with us and your help in this critical and difficult time

15 months of displacement and famine have increased our suffering and difficulties incredibly.

I used all the words of sadness and sorrow to describe the situation we had reached, but these words were not enough.

We lost relatives and friends, my brother and father were injured, our house was destroyed, our car was burned, and everything was lost.

The scale of the suffering and tragedy is much greater than what you may have seen or witnessed on social media.

My little son Bahaa I can't believe what happened How will I tell him that he lost his room, his toys and his new bag.. How will I tell him that I tried to search under the rubble for the remains of his toys that he dreams of returning home to play with... Bahaa is 5 years old How will he understand all this.. He loves playing, writing and drawing Now he has no home, no playroom, no writing, no drawing, no education... I want to register Bahaa in a kindergarten so that he can write, draw and play again... He needs new clothes and a bag, notebooks, pens and drawings for the kindergarten in order to register him Help Bahaa
