(NOT THE SAME THING) I was scrolling through tiktok and saw this idea that every time you reality shift (for purpose of verbs, I’m going to call it this.) and then go back, the main person of your shift remembers you but no one else does until you return again. And who is my tired boy with a mind quirk that I just so happen to kin? Shinso! (Also his name is Japanese. It’s not going to always perfectly translate into English. So don’t be like “oh it has a u at the end.” it doesn’t really matter. I’m sure not all of you are going to be like that, but just in case… y’know?)

The MakoHaru related spoilers from the High Speed: Starting days movie have been killing me softly since I caught them, especially knowing they did another confession with the underwater scene.

But it’s not the confession itself I’m having feels about though. 

I saw some people screaming canon because “Makoto actually said that he loves Haruka and Haruka in turn said they would always be together”. And true enough according to the movie spoilers, they did. But really it isn’t anything… new?  Makoto and Haruka have conveyed that very same thing many times over and over, at various moments, before we got the High Speed: Starting days movie. When you look at it in the series timeline from novels to anime:

Anime - Season 2

Where , through a flashback, we see the very young Makoto confessing to wanting to swim with Haruka, after witch they both enter the swimming for the first time 

High Speed - 1st novel

Where Makoto confesses his feelings of wanting to swim with Haruka, and Haruka accepts said feelings.

Makoto: If you’re not there, if it’s not you, then it’s no good. I want to swim with you, Haru!

Haruka accepted Makoto’s forceful words straight-on, without moving or changing expression. His gaze was so calm, he almost looked as though he could count Makoto’s breaths and heartbeats. Haruka’s calm gaze cooled Makoto’s burnt-out body and soul. Makoto could feel the waves inside his heart quickly dying down.

High Speed -2nd novel ( the one the movie is based on)

Where Haruka panics at the thought of losing Makoto and admit to himself and Makoto that everything is fine as long as he has him. The first and subtle we’ll always be together, as the anime put it.

Makoto: Would Haru be alright even if I weren’t here? Haruka: –– I wouldn’t have looked for you if I were. Makoto laughs. He was the usual Makoto. The amiable smile with up-slanting eyebrows. He came back to being the usual Makoto. To Haruka’s side––, he came back for him… For now, just that is enough, he thought. If Makoto’s here, just that is enough.

Anime - Season 1

Where older Makoto confesses again to older Haruka and those feelings are accepted quietly.

Haruka later:

Their duet song My base your Pace is in which they’re supporting each other, caring and looking forward to the future with the other by their side.

Makoto If something has happened, you can tell me any time I would be glad to be even the slightest help to you

Haruka: Probably, without even a trace of doubt, I’ll keep relying on the hand that supports me as I move forward.

Makoto and Haruka: Even when we’re troubled or uneasy, we usual two Take strength from our solid base so that we can keep facing forward even today Your unconscious thoughtfulness, without any malice or reserve, Makes a pace that brings comfort to my heart, as it always has, unchanged.

Anime season 2

Where we learn that Haruka keeps a dolphin toy in his bath since Makoto selflessly offered him the one they both wanted.

Or where Makoto and Haruka fight about their future post graduation and Haruka flies out of the country. Only to return and

As shown above, these two have been doing those confessions before and after the movie timeline. Now, obviously the novels and anime differs in various ways and some things change from one medium to the other. But certain things are kept the same. Makoto and Haruka bond and its importance to both, especially to Haruka has always been kept the same if not emphasized on a lot.

What happened with the movie and gives me so many feels is that once again, they put an emphasis on Makoto and Haruka feelings for each other: their mutual affection as well as their desire to keep the other in their life. And the beautiful thing is that it doesn’t matter which medium you take novel or anime. It doesn’t matter which anime director and who writes the show. They all feel that Makoto and Haruka do love each other and “always together” defines them.

Beyond the movie spoilers, look at everything we got with MakoHaru and how the staff has already pushed that very same idea in and outside the canon work.

The anime started with them as kids swimming and ended with them together in Tokyo, despite following different paths.

The soundtracks chosen for them when they were having moments have titles like like Always here, Only for you or I need you. I NEED YOU OTL.

mentioned Makoto’s importance in Haruka’s life

“I think the one who was always supporting Haruka from the shadows was Makoto. I think it’s because Makoto was there that Haruka was able to make it this far without stopping.”

basically said that Makoto and Haruka complete each other.

Interviewer: As for Haruka and Rin, after doing that together and being next to each other, as well as committing to the same thoughts of swimming, you would think that they are two complements of each other, but what are your thoughts?

Utsumi: Well…I would not say that Haruka and Rin are halves of each other. If anything, I think that Makoto would be the other half of Haruka.

said that Makoto is drawn to Haruka’s person, beyond swimming.

To Makoto, when he says he wants to swim with Haruka, it has a very different meaning from when Nagisa and the others say it.

People like Nagisa and Rin see Haruka swim and connect with him through swimming, so to speak, but Makoto is the only one who is drawn to Haruka’s existence alone.

mentioned that they need each other 

They have a “telepathic relationship” where the presence of one being next to the other isn’t questioned. This relationship hasn’t changed since their first portrayal, but I think their bond has strengthened even further over the course of the episodes. I think of them as being able to reach out a hand to each other, a relationship where the both of them need each other.

And the MakoHaru mook?

The mook story is literally about Makoto and Haruka opening each other worlds and finding each other again against all odds. Including death. A brief summary would be:  

Haruka meets Makoto and they start living together. They form a bond and share a bit of their worlds with each other. Haruka “dies” to protect Makoto leaving a depressed Makoto behind. Haruka literally “comes back to life” and goes straight back to Makoto again.

Talk about soulmates.

Basically everyone and their grandmother over there gets that same feeling with MakoHaru. Be it past, present and future, o even alternate universe like the mook,  the two of them are always thought of as “together forever”.

Like honestly, whether you see them as romantic or not, it’s canon fact that

Makoto’s been saying he loves Haruka since forever and showing it. Haruka’s been saying he loves Makoto since forever and showing it. They’ve both been saying and showing that they want to be together forever.

No matter which medium you take, no matter who’s in charge of the show, no matter which version is used this is canon. This makes everything so beautiful because through the timeline, you’re seeing Makoto and Haruka confirming that feeling over and over. It’s like they’re constantly telling each other as they grow up that “I  still love you and want to be at your side forever”.

And really, when you think you can’t fall any deeper for MakoHaru, they have to show the beauty of that bond. They mess me up so bad!

So I have a hunch that Albert Wahlander is a Virgo ♍️, Libra ♎️ or Pisces ♓️ 🤔

Because of his short actions in the Anime we don’t know anything at all from Albert. It leads to many unknown paths like his character, background story, family, birthday, everyday life and other important aspects.💕

I will explain why I think that Albert Wahlander may be one of those zodiac signs. This will be my first post of spectaculations.

Virgo ♍️

I know two of my closest friends are Virgo and both of them give me the same vibes. They are calm and collected, they can hold promises and secrets and they would observe every situation before interfering (like an argument and they will solve them). Sure that we still know nothing about our Swedish boy but as we can see so far, he is a fast learner and can also observe others like he did with Haru. He is calm and likes to play video games to have fun.

Libra ♎️

Well those are always cheerful and somehow a mastery itself but they would “kill” you if you would hurt their friends but I doubt that Albert will ever harm someone (because he is too precious for that.). Albert had an amazing fun match in the arcade and we can all see that he knows how it flows and let himself get carried away by his fun. I also think that Albert sees Haru as a Rival because he is waiting for Haru (at the end of season 3).

Pisces ♓️

To be honest I don’t even know myself but my stomach is saying me that he may be a Pisces. I don’t either know why but listen up, as we can see Albert is a man who has a sharp gaze, well I mean he can easily adapt himself in his environment and here he is, he stays calm despite the situations. But I am also unsure if he actually is a Pisces because he can show emotions like a gentle smile or a smirk (when he races Haruka) and that’s the key point, we do not even know if he is actually emotional as an actual Pisces and also it seems like someone who would mentally support others because of his kind attitude.

Ahhhhh I really don’t know okay? These are just hunches haha soooooo maybe just MAYBE he can also be a Capricorn ♑️. Why? Idk😳 At first glance he does not even have a cold attitude but I can see that he has big heart as a Capricorn would have. Loyal and always be good around those ppl they do love. 🥺👉🏻👈🏻💕
