We had proposal and wedding headcanons, now it's time for the next step. Can we get some headcanons of the N Team as fathers?

You sent me this ask three years ago, and now I'm finally gonna answer it, whether you like it or not!

Dr. Neo Cortex:

Cortex would be a very loving father... who unfortunately has trouble expressing that love in a healthy manner, and has abusive means of discipline at his disposal, both due to how he was raised. Like, he cares about his children immensely, and will even spoil them with presents, but you'll rarely hear him say "I love you" or "I'm so proud of you". Usually he only says those things when he's feeling particularly emotional. He loves his children because he made them himself. They are his greatest creations... unfortunately he sees them as extensions of himself rather than their own people. So heaven forbid one of his kids turns their back on him for disciplining them too hard... or trying to give them a sad backstory that makes them turn evil like him... or some other twist of fate... he will consider it an act of betrayal and disown that child, and try to replace them with someone else. But that's just because he can't handle the heartbreak of knowing he screwed up, and he will miss that child every damn day of his life, no matter how much he denies it.

Dr. Nitrus Brio:

N. Brio never really thought about having kids, but considering how many mutants he created and helped care for (and he even helped care for Nina for a little while too), he already feels like a parent even before having one of his own. In other words, he'd be a natural at it. Would he be perfect at it? Oh god, no. N. Brio has so many issues from dealing with Cortex that likely still aren't resolved, and he's going to inflict those issues onto his little one. N. Brio's partner would have to come in and prevent this. But otherwise, N. Brio would be a good caretaker who'd be quite proud of his spawn. Though if Cortex also has a kid, N. Brio is absolutely going to try and make his child bully/humiliate them, as an act of revenge against Cortex. His partner should NOT let him do this and, instead, force N. Brio to attend therapy.

Dr. N. Gin:

N. Gin would be the most well-adjusted parent on the N. Team. He would actively support them and their interests, 1000%. He'd love them unconditionally and never hurt them intentionally. However, sometimes parenting stresses him out, and since he's prone to migraines from his missile, he needs to take breaks and let his partner take over while he recovers. I... have no other thoughts about N. Gin as a parent. Sorry this was so short.

Dr. Nefarious Tropy:

N. Tropy does not care for children. Not even a little bit. He used to be a child, and he hated it. He has dealt with other children growing up, and he hated them, too. However, if his partner wanted a child, he would absolutely have one with them, and he would love that child. He would be somewhat emotionally distant, because he has no real paternal instinct, but he would still make an effort to be there for his offspring and support them to the best of his ability. However, if that kid ends up becoming anywhere near as narcissistic as their dad, Tropy may have a new rival on his hands, and needless to say, he will not like that.

Cooked up a bunch of bad thoughts™️ and psychoanalyzed myself a little too critically over the fact that I am drawn to so many villainous characters- quite a few of whom are outright reprehensible… so much so that occasionally, when I snap to a viewpoint that a “normal fan” might perceive my faves from, I go “Girly t h i s is the freak that brings you comfort? the self shipping community is not your life and you shouldn't revolve around it. i'm saying this because i've seen a lot of posts recently about so much bad behavior and uncomfortable occurrences happening here. the reality is this is the internet, and sometimes people are bad or cruel or incorrect and you can't bend over backwards to try and change everyone for the better because it's not fair to yourself. there comes a point where blocking and moving on isn't enough. this website isn't your world and you shouldn't revolve around it! even if you have been posting here a hundred times a day for years, please try to take a step back from the community and into your reality, especially at times like these when it's bringing you discomfort and pain. it can feel like loss and be very anxiety inducing to not post or check in constantly, but believe me when i say those feelings do pass. you will always have your ships, your f/os, your love and enjoyment of them, and your creativity, even when you aren't posting about it. there is nothing you can do on tumblr that you can't do on your own comfortably and still find enjoyment in it. i'm not saying to abandon this place or the friends and connections you've made, but with how things seem to be going for a lot of people, it needs to be made less of a priority. it can actually work wonders on your mental health to be free of this place, and when you decide to come back, you might find that you don't need it nearly as much or as often as you thought. hang in there.

Hey! I just want you to know that you’re not any less of a fan or supportive of your f/o if you can’t afford to buy a ton of their merch or any at all! I know how disheartening it can be to see people having huge amounts of merch and shrines dedicated to characters, especially if it’s your own f/o, but you should know that your love for them is enough! They don’t want you to worry or stress about collecting material goods for them. Your love for them is what’s most important and all they want; just because you see someone else that has a ton of charms, figures, plushies of them, etc... Doesn’t mean that person loves or supports your f/o any more than you do. Your love for one another is so special and all that matters!

Even if it’s not a money problem and you’re just not interested in what’s up for offer or you literally just don’t have any space to put it, that’s still always a very valid reason too! Some of my f/os have some awfully designed bootleg stuff on the market that I definitely wouldn’t want sitting around in my room lol. And shoutout to the self-shippers who’s f/os literally just don’t have any merchandise at all because that’s super common for a lot of us who love more obscure or unpopular characters! And just delivery/shipping is a problem too, like sometimes I’ll find something cute for a decent price but the shipping from overseas is more than quadruple the actual product, I love my f/o to pieces but I’m not rich enough to be spending what could buy me a week's worth of food on a little phone charm I’ll probably end up loosing.

Me personally, I love to just get things in my daily life that specifically remind me of them, like a bracelet, a candle, trinkets I find or a perfume, etc... Which I find just as wonderful since it’s personally unique to you and your relationship/how you view your f/o; also making things is super fun too if you're able to! But yeah, you’re definitely never any less of a fan of your f/o if you don’t want to or can’t collect everything that has their face on it!

Role: Recon and Patroling

Nova awoke with very little memories of his life prior to the Madness over taking Nevada, but still he gets along in life as best he can. At first they spent many days just trying to get by until being come across by Sanford and Deimos. Once the two men decided he wasn't a threat, and seemed more than competent to help, they let him tag along.

Nova is a crack shot with rifles, but finds far more joy and ease in using melee weapons. Such as knives, swords, and gernades. He's fond of explosives for the fact they can be set prior or from a disatance. Calls it "cheap fighting" and he may be right.

Despite the absent memory, Nova is smarter than they let on. They can learn anything relatively quick and are quick to observe small patterns or details. However, he is violently emotional and this causes fluctuations in his work abilities. Either being too merciful to folks or far too cruel, depending on the drop of a dime.
