Hey, I’m a little confused. The internet is telling me that crystal is 30 (which I still think is too old for a 23yo (my age)), but y’all keep saying she’s almost 40. I did see one website that sited her birth year as ‘89 but said she was 34, so I’m just wondering what’s up. Thanks!

She’s at least 36, I think she’s either 37 or 38 at this point. She lies about her age, and gets sites like celebrity birthdays and others to have a different birth year. So yes, she’s closer to 40 than 30 currently. She just likes to pretend she’s younger, she hangs with younger people and acts like a child, uses a squeaky high pitches voice to seem younger, photoshop, face tune etc.

 The Devil In the Details…Or, alternatively, The Reality Of the Music Industry.

The dramatic title aside, what I’m going to entail in this post is the harsh and vile reality of the music industry. The reality being that celebrity musicians are treated as a means to an end - a commodity and nothing more. They’re treated like literal animals, or robots if you will, who are forced to slave away for very little in return. On the surface, their lives seem to be what anyone could ever dream of, except with maybe a little less privacy than the average person (fame, fortune, et al). A worthwhile sacrifice, you’d imagine. But behind the curtain, there are bad actors pulling the strings, forcing the hands of their clients, so as to spin someone else’s hard work into something that largely benefits only them.

To start, I want to touch on Modest! Management. So, what you all want to know is…Do they really control their clients lives, and do they manage and engage in publicity? Of course they do, per their own admission on their website. I’ve placed my own emphasis on, “all aspects of our artists’ careers” as well as, “publicity” to answer the question - yes, of course they do.

jasmine really said 5sos should’ve done lover of mine merch signed by luke and s and now says best years is clearly about the relationship since he wrote the whole thing and lover of mine high and nitsw are just misunderstood. there are no words for this behavior anymore, it’s actually getting concerning that she can twist everything into being about s and is this obsessed. luke could get a pimple and shed say it’s his love for s oozing out of his pores.

do you think mike and lukes relationship in particular has changed? everyones interpersonal bonds with each other seemed to have more or less stayed the same over they years (even mike and ashton because theyve always seemed to be the least close while still loving each other so that hasn't really changed to me) but theirs was always special to me just because of how they started with hating each other and then starting this together and becoming best friends while still bullying each other.

Honestly, I think Michael's relationship with everyone changed a good bit, when Crystal came into the picture. Sure, at times some of the boys seem a tad closer to him than the others, but I genuinely just think his relationship with all of them has been affected to a degree.

why does crystal seems to love calum but not luke or ashton (luke in particular based on some of the comments that seem to be shading him while trying to come off innocent) like i cannot get over the comment she made about wildflower where she said finally! a calum song or the equal5sos thing, or she stopped commenting when luke started streaming in the listening party. independent of each other i guess seems ok, but adding it all up she seems to have an issue with him

No clue really, because it seems to only be something more apparent as of recently, but if I had to speculate about why she seems to be kissing up to Calum...? I'd say that it's probably to spite Luke (and maybe Ashton a little bit too, because you know how she just loooves Ashton lmao) in the hopes of causing a bit of a rift, because what better way to do that then by praising one and leaving out another? Considering that Luke had a big hand in this album in particular, seeing as most songs seem to be written about his personal life.

This was exactly my first thought too when I glanced at that interview. I'm sure he's aware of the criticism she's getting, let's be real. It really does seem like he's trying to do a little bit of damage control, and try to almost mitigate Sierra's role in the matter, by guilt-tripping himself while lifting Sierra up. Which when taking into account the lyrics of other songs (like Teeth for example), she's clearly not this "beautiful human being" that he's making her out to be. I'm assuming he's referring to her personality and character, btw. Let me just say for the record, that my stance has never been that Luke is some sort of innocent saint who's never done anything wrong in his relationships, but I do hold a heavy belief that toxic people can almost make you toxic yourself.

Pushing you past your limits until you're snapping, and then the toxic person is cowering away and guilt-tripping you for acting on the whims of your limits, and suddenly you're the only bad guy in the situation. Honestly when you've been gaslit repeatedly, you start to believe it yourself, too. That you're the one who's solely guilty, I mean. It's also Not At All uncommon for the person being largely affected by this type of toxicity, to want to defend and protect the person they believe they're in a loving relationship with, even going so far as blaming themselves for nearly everything. I did this myself many, many times. I'd also agree that a relationship starting off toxic is a bad sign, and it rarely ever becomes less toxic over time, and I don't think Lierra is any exception to this.

I know people haven't been the fondest of Ashton lately because of his rude and abrasive behavior. I've seen it to, but I also remember a time when he was with Bryana Holly. He acted this same exact way. And when he and Bryana were finally and officially done and playing this on/off game that he is currently doing with KayKay he reverted back to his old self. Maybe I'm just being naive in thinking that his situation with KayKay is the reason. But it just feels like it's the same 1/2

2/2 the same as when he was with Bryana Holly. The pattern and his demeanor seem to fit. It's cool if you don't agree with me though. This is just my observations.

I've gotta be honest with you anon, I do disagree for the most part. I think he had his moments when he was moody while dating Bryana, but I don't feel like those moments are at all comparable to the way he's been acting now, for at least the past year and a half. I mean, it extends beyond social media even, and into stage presence and interviews. His attitude just comes across as rather abrasive and sour these days more than anything else, and I find myself not being able to defend it, even though there's definitely a part of me that wishes I could. I just genuinely think he's changed, ygm? Which like, that's it's own thing in and of itself, it's whatever. But he has an image to upkeep and the way he acts also affects the band, so he strikes me as lacking in self-awareness and maturity these days as well, which is twice as disappointing imo.

It’s kinda funny when luke says something you agree with or can use negatively about Sierra you’re like “OMG straight from his mouth! He said it!” And when he says something you dislike, like he loves Sierra and is happy and he wrote these songs about her and you can’t use it to be negative, you’re like “modest made him wow PR poor luke being forced and manipulated to pretend to be with S” 😂 I cant. Like why do the lyrics of teeth matter more or are more truthful than the lyrics of love songs?

Maybe because those things aren't necessarily mutually exclusive? I've never said he's, "forced to say the things he says about Sierra" but rather that there's a noticeable (and by that I mean expressionless, dry, uninterested) difference between him talking about Sierra and him talking about... Literally anything else. This isn't just a one-off kind of thing either, it's been the case virtually every. single. time.

You also can't just ignore the repeated patterns between band related events and content being released, and Lierra content surfacing. Such as PAINFULLY obvious social media posts within a short period of time of one another - and not just coordination between Lierra's social media posts, but also the band accounts. Or pap walks, with content sometimes being released by highly suspect and questionable (supposedly "fan ran" update) accounts, weeks after the fact and with no discernible source for the pap photos/how they came to possess them being disclosed by said accounts.

The same goes for "supposedly organic" fan sightings or encounters, which often either provide no proof for claims, or if they do happen to have evidence, the story itself changes or seems to have glaring holes in it. They're also typically leaked through questionable big update accounts, to make it seem more authentic in nature, which is a known tactic that Modest has used with other big fandoms.

So I mean if you want to ignore the valid observations that are so often right there in your face, by all means, be my guest. But stop wasting our time trying to twist what we do or say to fit your poorly framed narratives.

Obviously he didn’t. You can tell a lot by tone and laughing and delivery, and him joking about not knowing what love is is very obviously just protecting his own life. I can't remember just how long prior to Lierra going public that he said that, but I know it wasn't long at all, and according to the official story, Lierra had been together for some time by then. When asked how to speak to your crush, he said he "hasn't found love" with Ashton confirming "he doesn't know" so I mean? He could've just as easily been like, "Oh I don't have any good advice, I'm not good at that sort of thing either." But he chose to be shady and the timing is what adds to the shady factor.

im in such a limbo place with this band lol. i’ve been a 5sos fan for like 6 years and i feel like i don’t recognize them as the boys we grew up with. i don’t resonate with the music anymore bc it’s all over the place, all anyone talks about is their girlfriends (you can’t even be a “real fan” if u aren’t up thejr asses) , and they’ve turned into the pop band we would’ve HATED in 2014. but i’ve loved them for so long and they got me through so much that i can’t just like...leave, ya know?

CALM feels so weird because I can't hear anyone except Luke. And I get it, Luke's kinda the frontman, the main singer, which is understandable. but where are Michael's guitar solos? Ashton's killer drumming? Calum's sick bass lines? I know Calum sings on wildflower but come on. I'm also not blaming Luke but I just feel kinda disappointed. the album isn't bad but it isn't exactly 5sos

AGREED. I like that you make a point about Luke being the frontman and not blaming him, because of course we're going to hear his vocals more than the others. But I find myself missing the "key" aspects that once made 5SOS, 5SOS. The instrumentals, that is. Everything they've released is so hit or miss for me, largely because it's over-produced with synth and autotune. Which not only tends to take away from Luke's vocals when they're there, but also the other band members' jobs - which is, playing instruments. I'm sure they'll make up for that during live performances like they have in the past, but it's just not really the same, y'know?? I'd just like to see more actual instruments incorporated into the mix, and see the over-production value of things dialed back about 60-70% from where they are currently.

5SOS said they’ve already been thinking about their 5th album for over a year now. They have the audacity to tell that when the tracks in the new album could barely differ against one another. Please, by the 5th album, I really hope we get the SGFG vibe again, and hopefully, no leeching gf’s off involved. This era has barely started but imagine how tired I am with the upcoming drama and pr shit already? LMAO. I’ll be back in the 5th album. Adíos!

Maybe instead of thinking about your next album you should have focused on making this one idk actually good?
