Destiel only exists because people were squicked over the idea of shipping an incest ship, but the show is so laden with innuendo and ~vibes~ that all that energy had to go somewhere, and so the weak willed latched onto the next pretty boy who had any sort of connection to Dean Winchester, no matter how tenuous, and Rumplestiltskin'd all of those uncomfortable shippy feelings they were feeling into a ship that had very little contextual support. And, I mean, I have no problem with it so long as they stop trying to scream everyone else into compliance with their personal headcanons.
Destial is so talked about i got into supernatural thinking they'd be too overwhelming of a canon to ignore and all that hearsay. But then I watched supernatural and found out they got NOTHING on what samdean have. The hundred crammed-in fic/romantic tropes. The yearning glances and looks of pure love. The constant sexual innuendos and parallels to lovers. Soulmates unhinged codependent freaks who'd damn the entire world and sell their own souls to save each other time and time again. The chemistry, the storylines of them being forced to separate by every higher power yet desperately coming to each other every time. Most romantic relationship i ever seen on Tv.
Destial is an ant before a mighty God (samdean) it's not even near them.
Joke or not, he's only harming himself and his chances of being invited back. I would be curious for someone to pose a question along the lines of "Hi, my question is for Jensen. At Crossroads 8 this year, Misha said that destiel only didn't happen because the CW was homophobic, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on that?" because I am not above making Jensen a smidge uncomfortable if it means the right feelings get a little hurt and it puts an end to this nonsense.
How absolutely disrespectful for an actor to suggest a network is homophobic. You were on a show just LAST YEAR that had a queer character. What do you really gain by echoing your loser fans' stupid delusions because you just look like an ungrateful shit that won't have another job again in his life.
I know the genie is out of the bottle and you can't go back but dear GOD I hate the mainstreamification of fandom so much
I do NOT want authors or showrunners or actors to acknowledge us or talk about fanfic or fanart or fan theories! I do NOT want people asking questions of the canon creators and getting them answered (make up your own answers, like god intended!) I do NOT want companies making jokey advertisements aimed toward fandom!
I know that fandom was never entirely underground but like... I miss that fourth wall existing, you know?
nothing more sobering than realizing you'd been assuming a cover of a song was the original...like oh phew if the wrong person found out about that i couldve been killed
Douche bag just cannot help himself. Real ballsy considering it was just the anniversary of his “coming out” and subsequent Stands fire sale of merch, such a disingenuous piece of trash.
It's insane watching Coby Bell on Walker because his character is essentially Exposition Man on paper, but he's acting circles around every other person on that set. The scenes between him and Walker in the most recent episode highlight this very clearly; he's believable and natural in that role in a way that JP doesn't achieve with Cordell (his performance always feels like a Performance, like Work, whereas Bell's comes off as much more natural). James is probably my favorite character on the show now because he's the only one who feels real. Everyone else feels like a script, and a poorly written one at that.
