RIGHT.

 Aww my Lord. I've actually seen this ship coming since Lava Lake Beach, and not only was their chemistry hella cute, but I also felt it was a good way for Marco to move on and grow. Cuz Starco not being endgame would've been a good mirror to how people's interests change and we sometimes drift apart from people we cared about, AND THAT's OKAY cuz they still have their friendship and that is a bond that doesn't necessarily have to break just cuz a romance doesn't happen between them. Like, there’s always other people to meet and make meaningful relationships with.

But that was not meant to be, it seems.

The relationship was swept under the rug HARD. Like, it didn’t even get enough time to develop. About two episodes or so and suddenly, an offscreen breakup. Nothing more was said of it other than leaving Kelly pretty upset about it and Marco speaking pretty nonchalantly about it. It’s not like with Mordecai and CJ whose relationship was given considerable focus and development throughout the show, and was given enough time to justify its fallout. It was just...gone, and their entire episode specifically dedicated to showing their growing bond and budding relationship was rendered moot and dropped like a hot potato.

From Tom and Star breaking up to Star and Marco getting together just a mere five episodes afterward just doesn’t put the main duo in a favorable light, in my opinion. Starco happening felt so rushed that I feel it doesn’t really feel as justified or well-earned to happen.

But that’s just my two cents on the matter. The show is over and I guess it just is what it is now. I wish Daron and the crew well cuz they still did make a show that captivated me, even though I’m not as satisfied as I wanted to be with the ending.

Out of all the characters, I feel bad for how the writers used Kelly. She was mainly introduced as a character who had to get over her old terrible relationship and move on. She attempted to do that thanks to Marco...only for her to get dumped yet again and upset over it. So she tries to finally move on, someone that's been emphasized throughout a few episodes, only for it to backfire in her face and just end up hurt again? -.-

yeah that’s a thing that REALLY bothers me actually

they brought her back, and even made her out to seem like she’d be a big character on the show with the new intro

but she doesn’t really get to do much

the most she does get to do is sorta be another girl marco seems to grow a crush on, but that crush ends up very shortlived and it lasts only a couple episodes anyway, and afterwards we basically don’t see her again.

she didn’t even get an arc about moving on, she just ended up dumped again and for no reason either and we never saw her much again.

some fans might not of liked it, but at least with a tomstar/lkellco ending, ALL the characters got a happy ending with someone who liked them back.

star and marco are still friends, and they have partners they like.

But apparently the show decided we wanted to watch more characters get hurt because i guess somehow that’s supposed to make star and marco more appealing…..when it just kinda makes them seem like jerks and makes the fans mad at the crew for teasing these pointless couples.

Like, there were people out there, who were legit EXCITED about this ship, it feels incredibly mean to those fans to pull that on them, and even marco doesn’t care much about kelly afterwards, not even when she’s on the brink of death.

like poor kelly, and poor fans of kelly tbh.
