Lie beams up at her, nodding enthusiastically. “I think so too!” He agrees without hesitation. He’s always eager to help his mother out with whatever she needs. He gently takes her hand and starts heading back in the direction of their garden, which has been tended to meticulously thanks to both his mother and himself (mostly her, because he’s not quite old enough to help with some of what needs to be done yet).

An chuckles as her little pride and joy leads her along, her gaze soft as she looks upon him. He was always so eager. He reminded her of herself when she was young. Scooping up a watering can on the way to the garden, she holds it out to him once they arrive. “Now, why don’t you fill this with water whilst I take a look at the flowers?” She gently ruffles his hair.

"Mother!" Eight-year-old Ren said happily as he ran to her and hugged her around the waist. He still wasn't tall enough to reach her shoulders yet, but he'd get there. "Do you need help?"

“Oh!” Came the woman’s surprised response, a warm chuckle swiftly following as one hand lifts to pat her son upon the head. “Well hello there, little Lie.” She greets, pulling her hand back as she smiles down at him. “Hmm… Why don’t you help me water the flowers in the garden? I think they are looking a little thirsty, don’t you?”

{{ Tai x An started as a joke ship for me but now I’m actually starting to SHIP it, oh no,,

I just imagine them talking about their loss and growing closer and helping each other cope and heal and eventually Ruby, Yang and Ren have had enough of their slow burn and mutual pining and actively try to get them together–

They’re both Chinese-coded too and can probably speak Remnant’s equivalent to each other, and An would absolutely adore his little sunflower garden and Zwei. Just– Hnnng. }}

An watches his reaction before rolling her eyes softly, leaning against him. "Nor as perfect as our loving husband and father." She speaks, taking a sip of her own tea. "But it's close." She adds with a chuckle.

She hums in content, closing her eyes briefly. "Mhm... Well, we will have to make the most of it while we can." She opens her eyes again and smiles once more before pouring the tea into their cups.
