i think a more plausible theory is that lucifer figured out how to split himself (for reasons unknown tho) but i haven't really thought about it that deeply. especially with how that one file extra explained how priest was "conceived" very peculiarly.

Reading Gluttony arc again has made me have some doubts about the Priest Is Lucifer's Child theory as well. A lot of emphasis on Nephilim as "the result of the love between demons and humans" which. . . sure, is there to jab at Imuri's fears, but it would be odd and imo kinda gross. . . especially after everything with Luca, to then go "oh but Lucifer figured out how to create a nephilim that is indistinguishable from an able-bodied human" y'know?

Tldr; orter finds out his girlfriend has a stalker who wants to kill him or something and... some... slight mental confessions from him.

“So you want me to deal with this stalker?” Yes he did. Pinching onto his nose bridge, he sighed. “I’ll drop the search after a week since that’s how far I can meddle with the schedule. I’ll keep you updated.”

That’s a lie.

He can meddle with the schedule as he pleases.

Would he be an asshole? Yes. Was he still considered and viewed as an asshole? Yes. It didn’t really matter t that he had to make adjustments for this unforeseen impromptu investigation. He needed a breather anyways.

The issue was that the week that Miley Cyrus chose to raise alarms was on a jam-packed week for them. The workload was almost exclusively meetings which neither of them liked and it was completely unavoidable. Mandatory.

Initially it had been split in half between the two of them. But with his absence, she’d bear the brunt of back to back meetings. He quickly flipped through the papers. He rolled his eyes when he saw a clipped in part she had added. The excess. If it wasn’t the Director’s orders he would’ve tossed it aside and removed her from Magical Items as a whole. 

That department functions perfectly fine without her interference.

She holds it too close in her reach.

He can only afford a week for this wild goose chase. But he confirmed they were a man. A sense of bitterness pervaded his very being at a cumbersome thought that resurfaced as he marched through a familiar town from his old internship days. ‘If it’s that crippled old man again, I’ll kill him for real this time.’

He could vividly relive the satisfaction of botching that haughty face into dark plumes. The whimpering mess, the begging—he hated that in particular. “What did I do wrong, Officer?! I’ve paid my taxes for the last decade!” He was grovelling on his knees, covering himself like a cocoon if the dust didn’t stretch him out thin, as the young man clad in a borrowed (actually stolen) magic police uniform, dug his heel deeper into the aristocrat’s back. The man cried out in pain.

He scoffed at the sight before him. “Is tax evasion the only crime you’ve ever committed, Pinhead Larry?”

“Why don’t you think very carefully about what you’ve done over the last week?”

“I… I visited the Church.. agh… tea—party at Boulevard… I… went to the Bureau of Magi—ACKGHHH”

“And? What did you do?”

“... how does an officer know about what I gav—AHUGHH!!”

Now... SPOILER-y territories cuz I wanna explain stuff.

So basically, in my fic rewrite there's this peculiar line that Orter says to Kaldo regarding his honey obsession.

And that's because of Pinhead Larry.

What Pinhead Larry was going to say in full was: How does an officer know about what I gave to the Blood Cane? (Rinka)

Orter was in high school, first year at the time of this man's be-cripplement. You will find later on in the currently published EP.... 22 and the upcoming winter ball rewrite arc that Orter knows about what happened between Kaldo and Rinka due to Pinhead's gift (Mad Honey) to the latter.

But nobody apart from Kaldo and Rinka is supposed to know about that night and the be-cripplement of Pinhead. Which is why Kaldo's first conclusion is that Orter himself is her stalker (which is impossible, due to his massive respect for her in general).

So Kaldo is genuinely puzzled at who Orter is or was in Rinka's life. For context, Rinka herself at this point in the story has confirmed that Orter is not her 'Dear Junior' from her Easton Days (even tho he is), so Kaldo simply crosses out that option.

For Rinka, outside of work, she'd be the type to wear those shirts which look like she's wearing a vest/sweater over it but it's actually just one layer due to ease of use. Otherwise, she's actually prefer wearing a one piece like a dress, jumpsuit (or the other term i forgot). She wears basic monochrome colours.

Darren would probably prefer wearing something breezy. Like palazzo pants or wide legs pants. And go for cotton. She prefers brighter colours and patterns.

Hey guys let me tell you about advance fee scams

I hope y'all are familiar with these in this day and age, especially my artists out there, because they're incredibly common.

About half an hour ago I posted a drawing and tagged it #artists on tumblr, and very quickly received this comment.

My scam radar went off immediately, due to the generic blog name and lack of any emotion in the comment, but I decided it might be an entertaining venture so I dmed them. They asked for a drawing "of these", and sent me a random selfie. I got the details and told them it would be $15, and they promptly offered me $300. At this point I know it's a scam, but I play along for funsies and give them my paypal. Shortly, they send me this image for "confirmation" (I blocked out my email)

And they began to insist that I checked my email. I looked in my spam folder and found the following email.

This is fake. This is not a thing. And the "you're to refund the $200.00 back" is the scam. They send vaguely official-looking emails at you to "prove" that they sent you the money, then have you send them $200 (or however much the scam is for). Then, surprise surprise, you're out $200.

I continued to play along for a bit, and in the second email "Paypal" told me that I had to refund the $200 before they could "credit the $300 to my account", along with these lovely threats.

And yeah, it's silly. But it's not silly if you don't know and get scammed. So. Spread, please! And thank you very much to @mlaurel for the opportunity to get these screenshots.

Sorry for the short response, I'll try to elaborate a bit more (that ends up including spoilers for my fic but WHATEVERRR its not like I've written that point yet).

So while Delisaster was initially and my favourite of the bros (i don't really like the term quintuplets on a technical level cuz they're all different ahh ages), because he had like basically the same ahh magic as Rayne (who was sorta the first guy I was like rlly cool bonkers with that wasn't the main guy, it turned into orter, and now it's split between levis and adam jobs himself so uh... YAH :D), he hasn't been the most stuck in my head character.

That goes to Famin because his disposition lacks like proper drive. He's sorta the opposite of whatever listless is. He has too much. (ADHD king maybe?) He just wants to be entertained.

His other alias is Miley Cyrus, aka Rinka's stalker (my oc).

The reason for the focus or pivot from Delisaster to Famin is purely because Orter's counterpart is Famin in the fight in Eclipse Arc. And it's intriguing and he's just easy to hate. :P

Famin doesn't like to deal with consequences, he will be the cause, but he won't deal with the aftermath.

So what does this have to do with Famin vs Orter outside of their ideals and way of life/motto in life clashing?

Well, because I've headcanonned a lot about the Divine Visionary that came after Orter and before Rayne, I have assumed this woman to be murdered due to Innocent Zero, and her corpse was personally sent to him via Famin.

For fun.

I'd like to think Famin finds it fun to see people suffer, but he gets bored of how they break easily.

Hence, Rinka Onoji.

He wants Rinka Onoji to suffer. He wants to see her in pain, he craves for the pained expressions she makes, how she breaks her cool facade.

He wants to be the only source of it.

Because at the end of the day, if he tries to kill her...

he gets a taste of death as well.

And what else is more intriguing than agonising searing pain? (A fact that makes you alive, and amusing, interesting.)

Due to a "promise made as dumb little children" it forced them into a stalemate. Any ill-intent, injury sustained from each other by the other, also applies/rebounds to them. He cuts her, he gets cut too. She stabs him in the heart, and her heart will bleed too.

The issue or rather challenge with Rinka, is that physical pain is not the method to inflict any sense of pain and suffering into her. She didn't react to his death threat after all when they were children. The only way he learnt to damage Rinka, to break her, was through psychological torture.

Even then it isn't a perfect science.

She doesn't react strongly at the Onoji estate. She never does. She doesn't seem to hold anything dear.

So he tried to act as the fan, Miley Cyrus, and she seemed happy about the letters, even exchanging some. However, he realised it wasn't effective. So he went to a more drastic level that aligned with Epidem, the Lackmagic Epidemic. Epidem's spread of whatever disease, increased the burden and agony experienced by Rinka tenfold. Even moreso when he effectively "buried alive" her assistant to be used as extra magical power. Her reputation, her sudden realisation that the brothers as a whole knew her actual magic, knew about the "promise", it brought her more than just grief. :D

And Famin loved every minute of it.

BUT... this guy was also kind of jealous that she herself was agonising over something that he wasn't apart of. That "Dear junior" of hers she so cherishes, yet can't remember, that irked him so much. It drove him mad, resulting in him inciting the Circus Bombing Massacre that killed Alex Elliot in it, in an effort to continue that control over her suffering.

He's just super hyperpossessive over his personal and best plaything yk?

In the aftermath of having read the first and currently ONLY gideonmc fic on ao3 (link), I decided to try my hand at some gideon x my mc oc out of fun. Mostly headcanons cuz I can't write in this state (impending exam doom AND ITS MY BDAY TMR SO LIEK YUH).

1. Idk Gideon's/Jiang Fei(?) height or age, but I'd like to think he's 24 like Jia Tianxi and they either twin as July Babies or Gideon's born in August so technically Tianxi is jiejie/noona. Not the brightest like Caleb but he still scores decently average. (I HABENT REREAD PATHLESS REALM SO IDK)

2. On the assumption of HC 1, this means that although he's in the same batch as Caleb, due to the fact he lost a bet after losing to a game of Kitty Cards (or exploding kittens) back in the Aerospace Academy days, he must refer to Jia Tianxi as jiejie/noona. Or in english, Madame (Millie) (miss is too boring okay).

So like when she visits, he has to address her as more senior even though to some technicality, they're basically peers and he's even senior than her.

3. Even though he IS 24, due to his height, the fact he might've skipped a grade, and Xixi (Tianxi) being behind by a year, she's super duper envious of this guy at first but tries to hide it as much as possible but it still gets out and he picks up on it.

4. That's why the bet was made. So even if she was in the year below and stuff. But cuz they still get close, she sorta calls him gege/oppa like sometimes and he never expects it and becomes a blushing mess on ocassion.

5. They're both ugly snot-filled criers.

6. The chances that they share memes/reels with each other is high. Caleb is a bit jealous.

6. Post-kaboom caleb era, Mills was a mess inside. Outside of Zayne, she didn't have any proper emergency contacts. She stopped taking care of herself and became even more reckless during missions as a hunter in between shoving in frequent visits to the damn grave.

7. In gideonmc fashion, it would probably be Gideon who ends up replacing as the main emergency contact for her, and Gideon is the type to insist. They are both very stubborn, but while Millie sorta is stubborn for her own gain (see the bet they made), Gideon is earnest.

You see, Gideon noticed that she didn't react to the fact he dropped honorifics around her, she didn't even point it out or scoff. If she were trying to act like how she normally would, she was being really bad at it towards him in particular because nobody else seemed to pick up on just how badly shaken up she is. He did because he cared. He wanted to give her comfort but she was sorta not allowing it to happen. Got the walls, the professional persona too.

But he's stubborn so give it maybe 5 to 6 repeat encounters over the course of a month or two, and she finally budged (possibly after Mt Eternal time).

Sorry I had to bust out a reply post just because I thought you might appreciate me rehashing my own thoughts and ideas on levis x reader/oc/self insert. And well, allow me to yap about VisRen, the endgame for Darren Randel (my oc who does NOT catch a break at all).

The easiest way for me to explain/spoil the plot is uhhh:

Darren Randel's main first "quirk" is that she doesn't use a wand. She's a wandless caster and due to this she was severely severely bullied and hated at her previous school, and was basically a trouble magnet over there. Hence her joining Easton. Yada-yada my fanfic plot happens.

Fast forward to the December/January before Rayne became Divine Visionary, intel has been sold/dropped that Darren Randel is Delphine Maiz, aka the Heiress to the Food Monopoly. But when the news drops she just avoided getting kidnapped.

She bumps into Levis in the damn corridor of the Bureau during their Winter Internship, they basically begin to duel and she would've hands down won if the Director himself didn't interrupt them and say: "I see you've met her already. Please follow me to my office."

Darren and Levis get blackmailed to basically go on dates in an effort to convince Darren to get engaged to and marry Levis. Neither of them want that, so they like have a mutual agreement to be buddies instead on these forced dates. And remember this:

"Until that old geezer is dead, we'll never get married to each other."

The two of them get along pretty well, they banter, they bond over how they got kicked out of their previous schools. Yes, Darren attended Walkis before transfering to Easton at the start of her 2nd Year and Levis transfered after expulsion just before she joined.

Although they're forced to see each other, they can't hold it against each other because of what's on the line.

Darren loves cooking homemade meals, and she's good at it too, so you could say her love language is acts of service and making meals because she's garbage at words of affirmation.

Yes, Levis falls for her first because she doesn't see him as someone superior and doesn't have any expectations of him to succeed or anything but there's like nothing he can do about it for the next 7-8 years of his life because Darren is head over heels for Rayne Ames.

She even celebrates his birthday with his favourite meal and stuff.

Levis is terrible at making heart-to-heart connections with people compared to manipulating them and having a follower. So he's kinda awkward around her.

There's a scenario where he ends up sorta saving her from an uncomfortable situation while she's buying supplies, and another scenario where they basically encounter each other while out with their respective friends groups. But nobody is supposed to know that they know each other, so they're like tryna avoid each other because the rivalry would be tooo much.

TRIMAGICATHLON FUNSIES (not the canon arc one)

Wirth (who has lost his love interest status) and Rayne become rather protective of her, due to her recent near kidnapping case amongst other things, as she ends up handing over stuff to Charles Contini who hasn’t seen her in ages since she ghosted him (they were friends) basically which she apologises for but she doesn’t stay friends with him.

Levis scoffs in her direction but that’s about it, Galuf, Kenny and Malcolm quickly point out in suspicion that it’s the Wandless Psycho (the name she got while being at that school). Which he doesn’t really care about because he’s already missed the point. But Kenny and Galuf think otherwise, watching as Darren immediately gets splashed by water from another person.

“I thought you got killed, better yet executed” - it’s the girl who destroyed her life at Walkis. “How have you been, Marianne?” - “If it wasn’t for your face, I’d be in a better mood.” Marianne tries to goad her into a reaction and disqualification and it takes a while before she starts to react after involving Wirth and even Rayne into the mix. “Too scared to fight?”

Unfortunately, Marianne gets her foot irreversibly damaged by Levis who stepped on it.

He uses his Magnets magic to basically destroy her foot.

“Marianne Douleur. Shut up.”

And he leaves. Marianne collapses at the sheer numbness and pain she suffered.

“What was that?” Darren uttered, confused at Levis for stepping in. The other's in his group are confused too but he shrugs it off because they were being annoying.

"Plus she's lost every duel she's done. It's pathetic." (He knows how powerful Darren is by comparison, and he can only assume that Marianne girl knows as well.)

My fanfic continues, Rayne wins title DV, friendzones Darren becuz he's a wuss (oh i'm DV now, it prolly wouldn't be good to have Darren targeted hence I cannot accept her confession).

As a result, Darren sorta kinda gets much closer to Levis but bro has to keep his feelings in check, even though this one woman thought they were a couple cuz they were hanging out and buying groceries together. Levis plays along a bit which makes Darren a bit uncomfortable becuz 1) she's not over Rayne and 2) the promise deal between the two of them basically indicated that they shouldn't be falling for each other.

Because she's now known as the Heiress and IZ is targetting her, she is being monitored by Rayne Ames becuz they're friends! And this means that she often stays at the Bureau on weekends so Rayne can do his DV work. Prime time for the Director to swoop/force her to meet/hang out with Levis.

Her sudden disappearances when she enters the Bureau raises alarm bells for Rayne and the two finally get caught.

Levis tries to make it like they've never met but she fails to pick up on the cue and Rayne is severely disappointed and also a bittt overprotective over her in that moment as well.

Yadayada, first fanfic ends, she's alive and kicking still after getting posessed by a dead Divine Visionary, and she ends up dating Rayne Ames for the next 7 years. They graduate, she becomes his assistant. Not Levis'.

Other background that i put down here cuz it's long:

Darren Randel (in the canon mashle plot she's the Adler Prefect, 3rd Year at Easton) is the "hidden" and only heiress of the Food Production Monopoly Family of the Mashle Universe. All the land, all the food you ever see in Mashle, is all under the jurisdiction of the Maiz Family which Darren Randel is part of and they have control over the countryside basically.

They were one of the founding families that helped Adam Jobs establish the Bureau of Magic, but aren't technically 'aristocrats' due to basically just sticking to the countryside and hating social elite gatherings as a whole.

Many aristocratic families have connections and businesses with them like the Tomato Family and Walker Family (Abel's fam).

But the family is incredibly controlling and strict when it comes to who can get married into the family (in order to avoid corruption and falling into the hands of the corrupt and power hungry families who don't care about peace and general people).

Quite recently or a few years back, the Matriarch/Head was assassinated, leading to a massive frenzy race amongst the upper class and aristocrats because the heir was revealed to be the famous miracle madonna/idol "Delphine Maiz" (an alias for Darren), the issue was they had "died" and thus were operating on an acting head.

Sorta nsfw but nothing descriptive? JUST TO BE SAFE CUZ THEY'RE ADULTS.

Fast forward 7 years later, she secretly breaks up with Rayne Ames (so that nobody starts hounding her with marriage proposals) and she sorta sobs over it, gets drunk at a bar and Levis tries to take her back home (but he doesn't know where she lives) so they go back to his place.

You see, post-eclipse arc happy ending of mashle story. His dad gets assassinated, and subsequently, he wins the last Divine Visionary Candidate Trimagicathlon Exam, thus being the last/most recent Divine Visionary. He's had a bunch of relationships but he often gets dumped and dumps them after a month or few. And that's because he's still not over Darren.

Because of the fact he was the late-ex-Director's son, he's viewed in a harsher nepo-baby light even tho he won fair and square. This means he struggles to lower tension within his department, to remedy this, Darren also acts as his assistant.

So when Darren reveals to him that she just broke up with Rayne, shit happens. They basically have a one-night stand after drinkinggggg (dubious consent!!! I don't agree to doing this at all in real life)

Darren wakes up to be greeted by a relaxed and passed out Levis who she chuckles at before it dawns on her that she’s naked and he’s naked. Oh shit. She tries to calm herself down before she realises that Rayne might kill her for doing it so recklessly.

And checking the time, she’s so thankful that the two of them didn’t miss anything.

‘I’ll just act like nothing happened,’ returning after showering at his place. She notes that a lot of things like shampoo and soap were pretty useful and even smelled like him. ‘I should use that spell Aunty taught me,’ finishing up and leaving with a teleportation spell instead of something else. ‘It wouldn’t be good to.’

What a mistake she did, dropping by into Rayne’s office where he was already there. “You’re late, Ren,” brushing one of the newer bunnies they got. Her heart sank a bit. “Sorry about that, I got carried away last night and didn’t prep anything… should I go buy some snacks or do you want me to make some?”

“You didn’t prepare the usual?”

The usual? “Oh, that! I’ll get it right away!”

“Remember we have a meeting in an hour,” he uttered. She laughed it off. “I know, I’ll make sure to be on time.”

After quickly cooking up some food for the bunnies and feeding them, the two went over to the meeting. It was a meeting between the Divine Visionaries regarding their departments.

That means Levis is also there but he looks like normal.

In the meantime, we get Levis flashback for what happened this same exact morning. In fact, he doesn’t understand what went wrong because he drank too much. He’s thankful that he has a pretty good poker face regarding things or he would’ve caused such an obscene scene for the 2 people he REALLY doesn’t want to annoy more than he has (aka the Directors, they are some of the scariest and most powerful people he’s ever met. He can’t land a dent into Rinka no matter what he does and he can’t underestimate Orter’s physical strength either.)

Levis was so used to the presence of his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend that he didn’t bat an eye at Darren in bed until much later. In fact, she left no trace of herself minus her shoes which he did NOT realise were hers until he noticed Darren wore a different pair of shoes AND TIE. (Becuz HE NOTICES EVERYTHING ABOUT HER TwT)

He genuinely doesn’t know what happened but he feels oddly at ease which is weird considering he broke up with his most recent gf already AHAHAH

They sorta have to come to terms with the fact that they're not held back by his dad anymore and can 100% pursue a relationship. They end up having to come clean to Rayne because Rayne and Darren are still officially and publically a thing and the reason they didnt change it when they did break up was to avoid stress, but now that Visren is canon, he doesn't have to worry too much.

There's more to their story but I haven't figured out what the plot of the Visren fanfic is beyond the main romance.

Sorry I just had to get this out of the way.

so I was peacefully existing trying to do my work and hybrid cat reader x lévis just hit me like a truck (go ahead and eat up my nonexistent lévis fans)

• probably one of the only way you guys would actually meet each other is if your family is powerful and influential

• I could also imagine you guys being somewhat acquaintances when you were young like you used to sneak in and just say hi to the twins but their dad found out and they both got in trouble so you knew that you had to stop coming and saying hi

• if you came from a noble family, you two would definitely be childhood friends. you guys probably weren’t close because of the fact that his dad was really strict and made him focus on studying and training all the time but you try to spend time with him as much as you could

• would probably become very distant after his brother fell ill and just focus on his studies/training

• you couldn’t really do much about it either because this is also around the time where your family started being strict on you acting more like a “noble”

• I could imagine if you’re a cat hybrid one of your main things is being really fast, quiet, and stealthy.

• i’m trying to think of what your personal magic would be and I think it would be related to something heightening your senses

• I also wouldn’t be surprised if your family put you into an arrange marriage with lévis so you two were forced to be around each other for social event and etc

• if you guys both went to walkis you probably still wouldn’t talk to each other all that much because of the fact that both of you were so engrossed in your own studies

• I wouldn’t be surprised if lévis didn’t mention you at all to the walkis gang and they probably had to figure out through some stupid social event that y’all are both engaged

• now, if you were not a noble person and were like middle class or lower you too would probably only interact in his childhood

• unless you’re super strong and somehow got into walkis

• he would probably ignore you and pretend like you never existed in his childhood

• I wouldn’t be surprised if he outwardly mocked you if you’re trying to talk to him at all

• He still somewhat misses those times when you guys were younger and you should just hang out and be kids

Made a character mind map

It has most of the characters (npcs included) from main story, world underneath and anecdotes. If they aren't on there it's likely because I found it irrelevent to the main story setting, or I forgot about Rafayel's branch route in Prologue of Tomorrow so I don't remember the couple, or the Ever people on that island... sighs, or I missed the character entirely.

I mostly made this because Ever was giving Disney and general TNC vibes with how it buys and makes companies.
