fish is a minor npc from my dnd campaign. she is a nixie who appears as a school of fish underwater, and humanoid on land.

this mini diorama is made of clear & blue plastic sheets and 3d printed fish. the plastic box is empty inside; the fish are all glued to each other and to the top of the box.

the recent discourse about p-shifting is very confusing to me. like i think its important to be aware of the history of the term and the potential harm that it could bring and all, but now im seeing people in the tags saying with their whole chest that physical nonhumanity isnt real? that its a good thing that CLCZ are being pushed out of the community? i understand wanting to be aware of the history of a term, but this is just wrong.

i thought we agreed that physical nonhumans, endels, clinical zoanthropes and lycanthropes are all valid. that they are part of this community too. yeah, some of them may talk about how they experience physical transformations sometimes, but that doesnt mean that theyre evil cultists or whatever. call out bad behavior when you see it of course, but if theyre not bothering anyone i dont see how pushing them out of the community is helpful at all. if this discourse is making them feel unwelcome in the community to the point of wanting to leave it, i think perhaps its a sign that we might be doing something wrong.

Sometimes I feel so out of place in the nonhuman community I won’t lie ^^’ I’m much older than a good amount of members, and I’m very physically disabled so I can’t do fun things like run around outside and roll in leaves and all the fun things I’d really like to do if I could.
