“You there! Stop right. this. instant!” Dressed in full scientific garb Frank steps out from behind the covered tank that lay in the corner of his pepto-pink laboratory, finger pointed accusatorially.

“Who are you and HOW did you gain access to this room? I demand that you explain yourself! Was it the servants? The shrill redhead?”

“Mature!” Frank gasps, his lids widening at the very sight of her.  “You look as though you’re ready “Oh, you simply must buy it. Find a low-cut classic, perhaps a bit darker!  You’ll become the hunter rather than the hunted...” The scientist purrs, tongue briefly flashing over his lips as he pauses- a finger brought tapping against his chin.

“No, no I believe for you that’s the perfect shade. Absolutely lovely. I knew I’ve always had an eye for blondes!” The scientist sighs dreamily- nearly lost in thought at the very sight of the girl.

“Frank, by the way-Frankie if you’re feeling adventurous. How do you do?”

    “I suppose pink can be a bit cliched…” For a brief moment, she wants to argue and defend her beloved color. But she stops and contemplates the other’s words. Silently, she takes the tube of red and applies it her lips. There’s a small pop afterwards. A few seconds pass as she stares at her reflection in the mirror. He’s right though. The realization of that is somewhat bittersweet. “You’re right.” Juliet murmurs, smiling as she turns to finally look at him face-to-face. “So, how’s it look? Eye-catching? Flashy?”

     “Ugh, yes- I believe the people of this world county much more prefer the use of the word ‘help’? Two siblings from my home country and a woman we picked up during our travels-  each of them hopeless. Though, on a good day they can be quite helpful for relieving certain... boredoms~.” Legs switch places crossed over one another- for a brief moment Frank’s eyes widen at the thought of scuffing his pumps as they lightly thud against the side of the bar. “Beyond that, I use them for help around the lab, keep up certain appearances... All very standard, I’m afraid! I’d hate to bore you with their names. What about you? Would I be wrong to think that was you that I saw on stage?” He chuckles, not at all attempting to hide the flirtatious tone of his voice. “You were all, erm, good!” As good as Earth folk were concerned.

                “ yes. i suppose… ″ lestat trailed off, watching the way that acidic drink disappeared down this man’s throat. he briefly remembered the burn of drinking COGNAC on cold, wintery nights as a yound man. but it washed away from his mind just as easily as it came, and he soon gestured to the seat beside him. he sprawled out more comfortably, CONTRASTING the good Doctor’s presence with leathery black and chrome spiked accessories. he was, perhaps, a bit cliche. maybe they BOTH were.  “ we’ll just have to remedy that then, won’t we? why don’t YOU tell me a bit about yourself. you mentioned servants. ″

“Boredom comes in spurts, I’m afraid. It’s the unfortunate inevitability when you’re as given to your... Passions as I am. Or, so I’m told.” The scientist replies- taking another wincing swig from his martini glass. It’s straight vodka- burning with no real outcome. “I’m rather new here, actually! My servants and I, we’ve only been here since... Yesterday, I believe. Simply not enough time to make friends.”

           “ you sound bored, my idiosyncratic friend. don’t TELL ME you’re lonely. why, you must have as many friends in this town as I do, by now. maybe more. it all depends on which way you hold the glass. ″

Jarred from his narcissistic stupor, Frank gives the girl a rather lingering once over before- teeth biting against the inside of his cheek as he weighs her options. 

What sort of monster would he be to deprive the poor girl of his genius advice? 

“I happen to find pink to be rather cookie-cutter, don’t you?” He replies with a bit of conspiratorial playfulness. “Hmm, for you, I think I might go the... Adventurous route. Turn more heads than usual.”

   “Okay so like, should I stick with      my usual bubblegum pink? Or      should I be adventurous and      get a retro ruby red?”

She doesn’t know for sure if anyone is beside, yet she speaks without a doubt. Blue eyes stayed trained on the color swatches on her wrist.
