Personally I feel this was the reason why they were done so dirty in the show. Their relationship is way to complicated to be properly animated on Disney.

More of Eda acting the way she feels on the inside. Like a whore. And Raine still grieving over her even now 5 years later. (Smaller gap. Yes I know) they meet again through horrific circumstances and both of them about to hit their breaking point.

Honestly is just an excuse for me to rewrite Raines Rapsody. And all their moments together, make them both suffer more. And when iv had my fun. They'll both. (Eda) actually be adults and communicate because they both crash out. But who says second chance romance has to be all banter and fluff?

Do you think Eda and raine get self-conscious or insecure about their past relationships or lack there off?

Like, Eda feels get self-conscious of all her short-lived flings and slut-shames herself for not trying to reach out to raine, even tho raine would rather see her happy with someone else than holding on to them.

Or that raine believes themselves to be clingy to Eda during their break up and that Eda deserves someone emotionally mature enough to not cling to a past relationship, even if Eda even tho she thinks is a bit toxic, she dreaded the idea of seeing raine one day on a new relationship because she knows that would have push her to the deep end.

They are the definition of *I love you so much i would let you go* and *I love you enough i would never let you go*

I've actually thought a lot about this

I've talked before about the idea of Raine seeing Eda go through a ton of exes and it saddens them to know that Eda was able to move on from their relationship so quickly, and how little their break up affected her.

Especially because of how much it pained Raine to end their relationship and how they themselves never truly got over her.

In reality Eda hadn't moved on but isn't able to deal with her emotions so instead she tries to distract herself by finding another partner to fill the void.

Despite what Raine and outsiders may think, and despite what Eda herself claims, she doesn't take pride in her past lovers (which is why she hates King bringing them up) because of how desperate she was to find a replacement for her first love.

As a raeda fan fiction writer I try to avoid what the original writers did. I keep their original personality, however eda's development within the climax action is usually after someone takes the time to talk to her, she's shown something, or has an Opifany of her own. After that is a 50/50 chance she'll change whatever bad habits she has, and/or her insecurity with be something she internally works on because of her "my problems are my own" mentality. And if that is why she's in that situation, she might turn to the single mother I created for Raine(head canon) for advice

Then again this isn't for everybody and I just like fucking everybody up. (Angst legend) however. If it's Raine that's having the main problems it tends to be an opposite thi g going on. I believe Raine is a very open and honest person (with close friends and family) but only at one point if they don't day anything of would be because their embarrassed or nobody is listening to them or there's really nothing you can do to fix the problem other than moving on, and that's the trouble their having.

Yes my stories can get elaborate, and pretty dark. Especially since I added a lot if characters I made on my own for my professional writing. But if you found anything interesting about my process. Eda definitely delt with some dunce caps and bully from teachers during her time in Hexide.

Like in the second pic she landed herself in that situation by being selfish and immature, betting against King and refusing to let Luz choose her own path

But I think being a jerk to King was her attempt at taking control of her self image again after Luz ran off, making Eda think she was failing Luz

She doubled down and had a bet with King that he couldn't train a trash slug. She lost that bet and ended up with a dunce cap on her head, and her actions and reactions were an emotional response to the perceived threat of school

Eda didn't want Luz to go to Hexide and face the humiliation of being treated like a bad student just because she learned differently, though more likely here, she just didn't want any mention of the building where the most harrowing experiences of her life took place, inside her own house

In the end Eda ends up being reminded of what it feels like to be a bad student AND how feels like a bad teacher

Okay so something I keep thinking about.

Someone once asked me while I was yapping about raeda online, why I like raeda more than lumity.

My answer is, eda and Raine went through so so much through out the show, weather together or separated. Edas curse, Raines job, the rebellion, the puppets, and all that shit. Even the fact they broke up. AND THEY STILL LOVED EACH OTHER. I'm positive they could both tell as well.

Luz and amity are adorable, but their relationship really had no flavor to me. It's was a simple enimes to lovers or rivels to lovers. Their only problem was odalia fr.

Theres so much I as a writer can do with their relationship. Both have deep insecurities, strengths, and so many levels to their lives together and apart. I just feel like theres a deeper love and passion with them. While lumity basically had a hallmark channel based relationship.

Angst headcanons for everyone's favourite girl part 2

Eda doesn't flinch from oncoming stuff in the show, she doesn't move out of the way in some scenes. Like, she just faces it or let's it happen when she's at her worst. Baby is used to being hurt, she's not even scared like Lilith is scared. She's used to it

Eda wouldn't let herself sleep and had to be drugged with sleeping nettles, not just because she felt useless and didn't want to let herself sleep until she figured things out. But because she was afraid of what nightmares she'd have about Raine being hurt for leading the rebellion

No, she had already had nightmares about Raine being tortured and needing her help

Eda isn't used to having so many people care about her at once and it confuses her when someone picks up on her being sad without her saying it, because for a second she forgets that people can see her AND care about her at the same time and not ignore her suffering. Gwen.

Eda can sleep anywhere and maybe even have deep sleeps anywhere, but none of them are good sleeps unless the right person is with her too

Eda still has self sacrificing tendencies and is generally unconcerned with her saftey, let alone comfort. Raine loses their mind when they hear about the bear trap and they spent the next 3 hours crying and cuddling her when they find out she was actually caught in one of those traps before

Speaking of traps, Eda has woken up in painful hunting traps after being transformed before

Eda had a panic attack when Raine broke up with her. That's what it was

Lilith's treatment of Eda through the years has Eda expecting the bare minimum from her sister. Eda is just eager for a good relationship she excuses a lot without really talking about it with Lilith

Dominant Se (Extroverted Sensing) / Inferior Ni (Introverted Intuition)

Eda is very knowledgeable about her outer world, and tends to act immediately on her plans. She is mischievous, and reacts accordingly to situations, but rarely considers the long-term consequences of her actions, indicating low Ni. She takes things day-by-day, jumping from job to job, and improvises based on what information she can find. In the beginning of the show, we see her quickly come up with explanations for each object in the human world with very little time, as a way to sell them to people. Her quick thinking and reaction is how she has been able to move away from Belos’s grasp for so long.

Auxiliary Fi (Introverted Feeling) / Tertiary Te (Extroverted Thinking)

Eda would rather die than conform to the emperor’s coven system. Yet, her distaste for the the coven system is not based on any logical reason, but because she doesn’t want to, and it doesn’t fit who she is as a person. She relies on external information to teach Luz how to be a witch, such as using a map of a witch’s heart, and referencing information she has heard. She also uses this to her advantage when it comes to fighting for her rights. She is very loyal to Luz and King, but not as loyal to external feelings or emotions. She doesn’t open up about her reservations towards them leaving, because she doesn’t feel comfortable sharing her emotions in that way.
