A thought has just crossed my mind and now my heart is breaking. Regina said that Emma is too good for Hook and a few seconds later said that she and Hook are much alike. This is basically the confirmation of the SQ headcanon “Regina is in love with Emma but she thinks she’s not enough for her”.

I firmly believe that part of the appeal of RV's and trailers and whatnot in America is because we know we don't need (or want!) all that space but because our self-worth is tied into our suburban mcmansions we just resort to camping in an RV 3 weeks out of the year to satisfy that little whatif.

If I had a nickel for every time I got into a tv show set in an extraordinary coastal town in Maine where a sunny and persistent child brings a unique cast of characters together to save the day with their love for him, most of the main characters are family (by blood or by choice), there's at least two family tree reveal plot twists, at least one main character is a member of the local law enforcement, there's a character named Graham who at one point is connected to something howling and furry, at least one pirate ship is significant to a portion of the plot, there are multiple adventures in the forest, the child everyone loves ends up in an alternate universe and meets alternative versions of their family and has to work together with some of them to set things right as a season finale, a season finale involves time travel, the town has a mine, and they have a musical episode in the second to last season, where everyone initially reacts with confusion but then roll with it, that is the episode before a heart-wrenching two-part season finale. And there's a significant time jump between the second-to-last season and the last season where few of the characters noticeably age and the character we really notice it with is the child that connects everybody else.

I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Speaking as a survivor of child sex abuse: the world would be a lot better if yall spent less time talking about the ways in which pedophiles should be punished and more time supporting survivors and preventing abuse

I get it, punishment can feel cathartic. I’ve certainly spent time imagining all the ways in which my own abuser might be punished. But ultimately, him dying, or being jailed, or publicly shamed, isn’t actually going to help me nor will it stop more kids from getting hurt in the future.

I don’t want more prisoners. I want free therapy with trauma informed counselors. I want better sex education for young children that teaches them about consent and body autonomy. And I want a society in which I can openly discuss my trauma, or at least as openly as yall discuss the evils of pedophiles
