Karl practically purrs the sentence, grabbing Ethan by the chin to make him look up at him. “Such pretty eyes you have,” his fingers brush away some of the tears. He kneels down and grabs hold of the rebar that had gone through Ethan’s thigh, “Mm nice deep breath now.” Without giving the other man much time to do that before he pulls the rebar out.

Ethan was grateful once Chris opened the door. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair, blue eyes closing as the other checked him for injuries . He had mindlessly wandered to the hotel, after he and Mia had gotten into a fight.

“Chris.” He muttered softly, opening his eyes and stepping into the room. “I’m fine— Everything is great!” He forced a small smile and glanced around for a moment.

Wilford sighed. “Tell you what? That I’m a Vampire? Do you think that you would believe me?” he hissed, sharp canines flashing.

JJ rolled his eyes. ‘Please stop being angsty dear.’

“I can be as angsty as I want!” Wilford shouted.

JJ held back a laugh and kissed Wilford’s cheek. ‘Wilford. I’m upset. I’m upset because I thought we could tell each other anything. And I’m a bit upset you got blood all over our walls.’

Wilford pouted. “I was just hungry.”

JJ nodded and stepped away from the blood-covered vampire. ‘So let’s talk.’

‘We have needed to talk and now seems to be a good time.’ JJ signed and sat down on the thankfully not blood-covered couch.

“Well, I’m a vampire. I’ve been alive since 1856. I’m forever thirty-one years old. I need blood to survive. I’m sorry for not telling you my bluejay. ”

JJ nodded. ‘So can you clean this up?’

“Of course.”

‘Well please do that and then come cuddle with me. It’s late and I want some sleep.’

Wilford nodded. “You’re not mad?”

JJ giggled. ‘I’m very mad.’

“Oh,” Wilford whispered, going paler than he already was.

‘But I’m very tired so you can sleep on the couch tomorrow.’

Wilford nodded. “I’m sorry.”

JJ looked up at the ceiling. ‘Really, Wil how did you even get blood on the ceiling?’

Wilford crossed his arms and pouted. “I opened the packet wrong.”

‘Well next time do it in the kitchen, not in the living room.’

Wilford grinned. “Ok, my peppermint.”
