Empress Market name after Queen Victoria, Empress of India. The market was constructed at a well-chosen site that was clearly visible from a great distance. The site of the market had historical significance as it was situated on the grounds where a number of native sepoys were executed in a ruthless fashion after the Indian Uprising of 1857 (The Mutiny of 1857). This wonderful #music shop lies in the heart off the old town,right next to Radio Pakistan building. This is the only music shop in that very street and dates back to 1947. Back in the days it was common for musicians to get their music instruments from here.
