Arizona knows she is not perfect. She knows she had made mistakes, But it doesn't take away from the fact that Jo was a friend of hers and she can tell a lot is going on with her. She called her and she could hear it in her voice. It wasn't the same woman, this woman was hurt and she was trying to make it day by day. Arizona had been there. When she lost her leg, she was barely existing and just there because she had Callie and Sofia to be with. So Jo, she couldn't imagine how she felt after she told her the news because Arizona had been left as well and it was the worst. Felt like her heart was going to explode out of her chest when Callie walked away, and Jo being pregnant, it made it even worst and i made her even mad at Alex for doing this to her.
Arizona was excited to see Jo. Sure, the circumstances weren't ideal, but Arizona she would welcome her with open arms. New York was different, no way like Seattle where everyone knew your business and knew it before you even said. That is why she was glad that Jo was coming there. She could experience her pregnancy without people talking. And getting by and just living life. As Jo came into view, she could tell she was sad. She could tell she needed more and needed to see Alex, but she knew it wasn't going to be something that would push through overnight but she was wiling to give her a little something and show her around the place and be with people she was familiar with and people who don't judge anything.
Arizona once she was told everything, she didn't want to really believe that Alex would do that to her. Alex loved Jo and there was no way he would leave. Think she was more upset she didn't tell her, maybe it was because she left the department to him and no the one person she trusted to take care of it was no longer there. She was scared to ask. "Take it from someone who was left and no answers as to why when she thought something was going well. The love never fades, it is all about just being patient and really just allowing it to play out. i know Alex and i know he didn't leave because he wasn't in love with you, there had to be more to it and that means he has to figure it out to give you his full attention. Whatever reason it was, I am sure he is going to make it up to you, and i know you will make it hard on him and you should. He deserves that too."
To change the subject as they are driving Arizona got her caught up on Sofia and how she was doing in school and how well Callie was doing as well. "Oh don't tell her that, she won't count on Callie and I anymore and I think that might make me really sad. So help but don't tell her you're a genius please." A soft laugh was heard from Arizona and she just shook her head knowing her daughter more then anyone. Pulling into the driveway to their house just outside of the city, and it was a nice spread and they had a yard for Sofia. "Please, just allow Callie to fawn over you and the baby. I told her and she is so excited and she may fatten you up some more thinking you don't eat. So, just humor her because it is what she does." A smile on her face as she got out of the car. "Thank you wait until you see the inside, Callie went overboard before I got here to make our dream home."
Arizona walked around to the back of the car and she grabbed Jo's bag so she didn't have to carry it and she lead the way to the door and opened the door and allowed Jo in first before letting everyone know she was there. "We're here."

Changes; for Jo it was normal to move from place to place. To form a new version of yourself. She had renamed herself; she had run from situations that felt haunting. A change of pace; a new place to settle down in felt normal. Jo never saw herself leaving Seattle; she never thought she’d have to. That was until her husband left her for an ex wife and a family he apparently always wanted. And Jo found herself pregnant and alone. She had Link who was her best friend; he’s been an angle in the last month. He’s ensured she ate, and took her to the few doctor appointments she had to go to. Especially if this move was to go as planned. Arizona had requested her scans; requested a last appointment with Carina before she board her flight. It was discrete, it was a need to know basis. Only a select few knew about the brunette’s condition. Jo didn’t want to be the talk of the hospital.
It took weeks for the whispers to stop. For the stares to stop after Alex left. After he abandoned her. Jo wanted to be okay; wanted to be happy. After a month of knowing; of starting to take care of herself she was adjusting. Carina promised not to tell; and Bailey understood her choice to leave town. Meredith was in the dark; she had manage to hide a pregnancy, she managed to still low until after she gave birth. That’s what she wanted; a place where she wasn’t the girl who got left. She wasn’t the girl with a crazy ex, Jo hated being spied on; being the talk of the hospital. The stars had lined up to where she was able to leave; go under the grid, with Bailey’s support; and having a place to stay with Arizona and Callie. She was lucky; to have a way out. It took a month given how awful her morning sickness had been. Jo had finally packed; the necessary items she needed; she was a light backer. Only a suitcase; and a carry on. She might be crazy; but the way the female looked at it was.. Her body was growing; she’s gonna be growing out of her cloths in a few months; and if she forgot anything that was required; she could pick it up in New York.
She decided not to drive herself crazy; the hardest part was saying goodbye to Link. After much pleading; her friend understood why she needed to go for herself. It wasn’t about running; because Jo knew her home was Seattle; but in order for her to have her baby on her terms; she had to escape. Alex did a number on her; he ghosted her until he felt remorse; felt the need to own up to his mistakes. Jo wasn’t intending on sharing this news with him. But he reached out a few weeks ago; and he apologized; and one heat of the moment text ended with her uttering the words. In a single text; her good heart now had her attempting at a co-parenting arrangement with him; even if it hurt her.
She was expected to inform him she landed when her plane landed in New York. Although the jury was out on that one. She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard the intercom; the announcement that the plane was landing. Fingers gripped hold of the armrest as she felt the right landing; luckily her stomach was playing nice with her today. Within minutes people were getting up. Jo was only about 3 months so she wasn’t showing yet; and decided to take the time to shoot the blonde a quick text.
[ Text] Arizona.
“ Just wanted to let you know I landed okay.”
With a quick press of a send the brunette slowly lifted herself up to her feet. Lines of people exiting; she’d patiently wait. Jo wasn’t expecting Arizona to get her; she had an uber app set in, in case she had to call for a car. One problem at a time.

Arizona had watched the relationship between Alex and Jo grow. She had known what that was like because that is how Callie and her were at one point before where they were now. Seeing Alex grow into the man he was before she left, she felt like she could take credit. Seeing Alex marry the one woman he had fought so hard for, and Jo fighting for him, it all meant they were meant to last. The way things were supposed to work out was that, but with Jo being in New York and pregnant and Alex nowhere to be found, she knew she had missed a lot, and wished she could have changed that, because Jo deserved to feel the family togetherness with all of this and knowing she was pregnant and why she was there, that is all she needed to know. Arizona knew she had to make sure that everything worked out for Jo, because being a mother, there was nothing like it, and there was nothing like watching the tiny human you birth grow into the person they are meant to be.
But seeing Jo, all of this had disappeared for Arizona. She had put her trust in Alex to take care of the kids and make her department run smoothly. Maybe that was on her for putting too much pressure on him, but she knew he could do it. but she felt hurt and betrayed by the news that he left. but imagining how Jo felt, Arizona knew she couldn't just say what she was feeling, wanting Jo to feel at home and get settled in and everyone at the house happy to see her, but not under these circumstances but they were going to make everything as normal as possible for her and just let her be there as long as she could. Seeing the tension leave from Jo as soon as they met with one another, she could tell that Jo was just nervous and needed the friendly face to help her navigate this new journey she was on.
But Arizona, being the person she was, and she asked just how Jo was feeling and if she had told Alex and what the game plan was. Leaving Jo for Izzie was not sounding like Alex at all, but then again, Arizona felt like she didn't really know him anymore either. Hearing Jo, she could hear the pain in her voice and everything else that had been going on with her, she felt for her. This was an exciting moment for her and then again, she was alone or so she thought. "That is the thing, you will never be her. Alex was never the way he was with you with her. I have seen it all with him and it not you, trust me. I think Alex just panicked in a way because he isn't use to something going so well. but then again, I know you don't want to hear excuses from him, or anyone around him and you are mad because he left. You are hurt he left."
Getting in the car and now allowing Jo to lift anything, Arizona was in the car and she shook her head. "Don't think you are a burden. We have plenty of room okay? So you stay as long as you want and if it makes you feel better, Sofia may ask you to help with her homework because quite frankly, I am sure she is at that age where asking her parents isn't the cool thing to do anymore." Laughing low and Arizona put her car in reverse to back from the parking spot and she put the car into drive for the two of them to get going. "Besides, Callie was expecting you and we both took the day off and she is cooking something for us and you and we went on a limb and guessed what you wanted. So just eat it please." A more teasing tone in Arizona's voice as she started to get into the city. The buildings surrounding them and before anything else could be said, they were pulling just out of the city and pulling into a driveway and pulling up to a nice and cozy home that stretched across the yard.
"And like I said, we have plenty of room. So please, don't leave like you have to okay?"

New York wasn't in Arizona's future when she knew Callie was moving there. Things happen and Seattle, it was home, but Callie and her, it was more important and a place where no one knew them, and their history but them as doctors. Plus, Arizona did what was best for Sofia at the time and that meant the two of them in the same place and giving her the best life she can have. Seattle knew too much, and Sofia had nothing but bad memories there for the most part, and Arizona wanted to change that cycle, and moving was the best option. But when Jo called, she didn't hesitate and invited her to New York.
Seeing the familiar face in the airport, Arizona couldn't help but smile, and knowing just what was going on, she felt for her. Who would've thought Alex wouldn't be with her. She knew they got married and she knew that Alex was a changed man, but Jo being here alone, it was a reality, that like Callie and her, everyone thought they would make it, which in the end, they pretty much have, but she thought Alex and Jo were Callie and her and could work through anything. Shaking her head, she didn't want Jo to fee bad. "Don't feel bad for what you need. You get what you need and that is it. I liked you because you are good and you didn't let Alex pave the way for you. That is why, but you have become a friend too and Callie is excited to see you as well." The smile on her face was genuine hoping that Jo sees that.
Knowing just how Jo felt in a way, she knew that when the person you love leaves and you are trying to move forward, it is impossible when something is thrown in the way. Jo being pregnant was one of those things that really just put a wrench in everything, and Arizona hoping Alex comes through and actually shows up for her. Sighing low, shaking her head, Arizona was disappointed in him. "I am disappointed in him you know? He had everything he had always wanted when it came to you and Seattle. Izzie didn't care, she left him and i picked the pieces up to make him the doctor he is, and the person he is. So, you have every right to feel the way you do, but you are the bigger person who told him when in all reality you didn't have to."
But there is always hope at the end of the road. Arizona really thought Callie and her were done, and that they would never see one another or get together, but things changed. People grow and work through all the past mistakes that happened. That is why Arizona wasn't writing off Jo and Alex just yet. "Thank you. I am not saying Alex and you are out of the question because Callie and I, we were pretty much done for a. while. It took us two years to work through everything and realize we wanted to make this work again. Not for Sofia but for us and we owed ourselves that. So, if you want that to work, just work through everything and things will work out." Glancing over her at as she got into traffic which will take longer then the distance for them. "Just, whatever you need me to do, I am here okay? And we figured we would welcome you by the way of New York Pizza. Sofia chose her favorite place, because she said Aunt Jo needs the best pizza in New York. So when in doubt, you have us okay?"

Arizona has been hurt, left and building back up a life she had tore apart. She knows she caused a lot of her own grief back when she was dealing with her leg and not the best version of herself. But she bettered herself by doing something more to save mothers from losing their children and she has made a good living from it. She learned all of that in a span of four months when it should have taken longer, and now, she was just there to expand everything and now she was in New York and she was living her life. Sofia was growing and Arizona was one of the best fetal surgeons in the country. Seattle seemed like long ago, but she knew it was only so far away, but New York, it was her new home.
Seeing Jo finally joining her in New York and her being pregnant, this was something she wasn't expecting, but she was so happy for her. Though the one thing that was missing was Alex. She didn't know the whole story, but she knew just what was going on and she wasn't sure what to say at this point. But the airport is busy and Arizona just wanted to get out of there, and leave because airports and planes in general still give her a feeling as she is out of control and she is not a fan of that feeling, not even after all this time. But seeing Jo, working with pregnant women she can tell she was pregnant and that was all that mattered. Arizona was going to make sure it is a healthy delivery and Jo is healthy. That is the one thing Arizona wants to make sure.
But, first small talk, Arizona was all about the small talk when seeing just what Jo was craving so they can get it for her when she needs it. Laughing low. Arizona was thinking about Callie and how her cravings were all over the place, and she couldn't really keep up. But she would do it all over again. Laughing low at the comment from Jo, she knew all too well about that as well. "Oh yes, Callie was the same. She wanted something right then and there and we actually did a thing where we didn't have coffee, and that was hard for me. So I kind of cheated and had it when she didn't. So, I get it. Meredith was a different person too, but we helped her on that one as well, because it was all new, and Callie had been there. Derek needed help with all of that. So, I was voice of reason with all of that." Arizona was thinking back of the good times and just loving that part of her life, but Arizona, she loves where she is at now.
Alex, she knew that was a sore subject. She was mad because he didn't tell her. That is the one thing that bothers her. He left Jo as well. Knowing their relationship and knowing Alex was better because of Jo. Also, because he had matured with his job as well. So seeing the look on Jo's face as she got into the car and buckled up after setting her bags in the trunk, and she started the car up and started backing from the parking spot. So they could get caught up and chat as they make their way to the center. "See, I am upset he didn't talk to me. I could have helped him you know? But, the fact he left you and I had no idea, I could have helped with that. But just so you know, you are no Izzie. You are far better then her, when it comes to being good for him. I don't know much but them as a couple, but Alex, he made a mistake, but I know him well enough to know he will be here for you. No doubt about it. He does know you are here right?" But hearing someone is proud, she has been doing well for herself.
"Thank you for that. It has been a long road, but we are making it happen. Callie has been understanding and we have worked around each other and our schedules for Sofia, and it has worked. Something we haven't done before. So it has helped." Arizona's hands on the steering wheel as they drive through the traffic of New York and her just wanting to get caught up on the gossip of Seattle, being that is one thing she does miss being so far away. "wait... what? Amelia is pregnant and she doesn't know if the baby is the one guys? Who else would it be?" Hearing all of this, Arizona missed the gossip of Seattle, there was nothing like it, but now she was intrigued by what was going on. "April did call me, and I am proud of her. Anything else? How is the peds department?"

Arizona was shocked to know that Alex had left Seattle. That he had left to the point of not even telling her. She was left tin the dark and she was confused why he left Jo as well. They were perfect for one another. But Jo telling her, it hit wrong because as much as she wanted him to tell her, she knew it wasn’t going to happen and now that she knew, she felt for Jo, and understood why she wanted to come there. She had a secret and one that she didn’t want anyone else knowing until she was ready. Arizona knew that all too well, and she knew that she would be the one to help her. More then she wanted to admit, but she felt for her and wanted the best for her.
But seeing Jo, and seeing the slight shift with her hand on her stomach, it said it all. She was ready for this and Arizona greeted her with a smile as well. She greeted her with nothing but friendly banter and just wanting to make sure Jo knew she was welcomed and she was just glad she was there. Pulling her into a hug, and Arizona held her for a moment before she pulled away and let her eyes meet with Jo’s. She could tell she was hurting, and she was having a hard time really just allowing herself to relax. But airports aren’t her favorite thing either. Arizona had a bad experience and she was glad people in Seattle understood and that meant Jo knew but she was there for her and she was going to give her the best care and Callie was looking forward to seeing Jo as well. As they walked out of the airport and to the car, Arizona looked over at her and a smile on her face, letting her dimpled pop.
Arizona thew her head back and laughed at the craving that Jo was having. She had heard that before, but it is far and few in between and Arizona was glad she was eating. “I have had a few of those cravings from mothers coming into the center. I say, as long as you’re eating, then there is nothing wrong with that. Just eat and everything else will fall into place.” Walking over to the car and Arizona gets in and she waits for Jo to get settled before she does the same and pulls her seatbelt over her body, starting the SUV and she waits for a moment before she backs up from the spot. And she felt the smile she always had talking about Callie again pull on her face. She was glad they found their way back to one another as well, because Callie was the only person Arizona seen herself with.
“It wasn’t easy Jo. Trust me. But Alex, he was always the one who felt we would. That is why I am so mad at him you know? He could have told me. He could have said something, and leaving you. Being pregnant. That makes me even more mad. I haven’t told Callie yet, because that is not the news I need to break to her, but she will ask, and that is on you what you want to tell her okay?” Arizona just knew Callie was going to be pissed, but she didn’t want to be the person who told her. “Just sit back and relax. The center took sometime and we worked hard, but Nicole was more business and I was more choosing everything, she just didn’t want me to choose pinks for everything, and you will know, I didn’t but she did try on pink scrubs once and she was mad at me for like a week.” Laughing low, The pull from the parking garage at the airport and Arizona started their journey to the diner before heading to the center.
“So tell me, what is going on in Seattle, since I left?”

Arizona has kept in touch with people in Seattle, because she was part owner of the hospital and she knew the ins and outs and who is hired and who isn’t hired. Who is going through things and budgets. What they didn’t tell her was a few things like Alex left. Her department was not run by the person she had trusted with instead there was a new guy she had no idea who he was, but his credentials were good and she agreed to hire him. But she also knew not everyone knew about everything and they didn’t know about Jo being pregnant and she was going to keep it that way. It wasn’t their business as she knew what it was like to be talk of the hospital. It wasn’t good.
Arizona was looking forward to seeing Jo. Knowing she as alone and it hurt. She didn’t expect Alex to leave her. He loved her more than he had loved anyone, and yet he did classic Alex and left. She hated that Jo felt that, and that is why she welcomed her with open arms and allow her to come there and she would make sure she got the help she needed and be able to know she was in the best hand when it came to her baby and making sure nothing was going on with her. Seeing Jo though, Arizona felt the rush of excitement seeing her. Her hair was shorter and it looked good on her. She was looking good and like she was taking care of herself.
Arizona knew some people weren’t big huggers, but Arizona couldn’t help herself. It’s been a while since she has seen Jo and she wrapped her in a hug. “Oh you are talking to someone who feels the same, even more so now knowing they don’t always make it to where they are going.” Laughing low, Arizona always had a fear of flying but it got worst after the plane crash she was in and she lost her leg. But she was glad she didn’t have to fly much. It was more just meetings over video calls unless she and Callie had to really be there. But Arizona was also concerned about the fact that Jo was there and she wanted to make sure she was eating but didn’t want to attack her. “I would say that is a weird thing, but it is normal. You will never believe some of the cravings some of my patients get. So, I am sure yours are normal compared to theirs.”
Taking Jo’s suitcase from her letting her relax, Arizona led the way to her car and she wanted to get out of there and get Jo out of there to get started on this but let her relax today, but show her where she would go for her check ups. “Oh you don’t even know, I told her you were coming and she already started to get everything together and to make sure you don’t need anything. Think it is just her calling, caring about people. That is one thing I love about her.” Laughing low as they get to the car and Arizona pulls her keys from her pocket and unlocks the door to her sporty SUV, and she opens the back and places Jo’s suitcase back there. And walks around to get into the drivers seat.
“We aren’t too far from the center, but the traffic will make it feel like forever. There is a diner close to the center and that’s where I want to take you. So just relax and we will be there soon.” Pulling her seatbelt over her body and starting the SUV, they were backing from the parking spot and off to get some food and then show Jo the center before getting her settled into their place for the night.

Arizona was excited to see Jo. She was excited to help her with this pregnancy. Though she was mad at Alex for leaving the young woman behind, she was just glad Jo reached out to her. She has been so busy, she hasn’t checked into Seattle, but she was glad that Jo called her. She had everything ready for the when the young woman arrived. Arizona knows what it is like starting over in a new city. It wasn’t easy, but Arizona had Callie there and Sofia knew the town, and then she had Nicole, but Jo, she just had Callie and herself and Arizona was going to make sure she was okay, and make sure she knew she could ask for anything why she was there and they would make sure it is there and she has everything she needs.
Getting the text from Jo, Arizona was sitting down in baggage claim waiting to see her friend in the distant. Sofia was in school, and Callie, she was working and Arizona took the day off to get Jo settled and make sure she was good. Flying that far and the time difference, it was a lot, let alone being pregnant. She was a people watcher and kind of through of stories of the people passing by her. This was a busy airport, as everyone wanted to come to New York, and she couldn’t blame them, it was a happening place, and she lived there now, so she understood it. But, she just nodded and smiled at people who did the same to her. She could tell ones who weren’t from there and ones that were from there.
Just as Arizona looked over, and she seen Jo walking towards her and Arizona smiled and stood up wanting to greet the younger woman. Arizona couldn’t help but and she wrapped her arms around Jo and wanted to make sure she knew she was happy to see her. The flight didn’t seem too bad as Jo seemed good. Arizona wanted to make sure she was okay. “I get that, trust me, flying is not the easiest for me, but we make it happen. Just glad you got here safe.” Arizona couldn’t help but laugh. The cravings, something she hears from the mothers in her practice. “Oh, that is something I hear every day from my patients. Anything you want? Or should I surprise you?” Taking the suitcase from Jo and she wheeled it out and to the parking lot where Arizona parked.
“Callie did think you had what it took to go into Ortho. Just everyone thinks it isn’t real surgery, but the things I have seen her do, it is really admiring. So, maybe she will talk you into coming back into Ortho, just don’t feel pressured.” Laughing low and Arizona hit the button on her keys and she unlocked the door and opened the trunk. “Go ahead and get into the car and I will put this in the trunk and we will be ready to go, and I will get you some lunch on the way to the apartment. Show you around some.” Arizona wanted Jo to settle in because she knew the sooner she got settled in the less stress it was on the baby and Arizona wanted to make sure she was as good as possible before she checked on her tomorrow at the center.

Arizona knew that first time mothers were just as nervous as Arizona was when she was becoming a mother to Sofia. She just knew Jo was freaking out because Alex wasn’t there, and that is something that Arizona hated for her. She thought Alex was better then that but hearing he left her and didn’t even look back made her mad. She was so mad at him, which is why she was going to take care of Jo and make sure she was okay. Arizona just knew how the hospital was and knowing that people will say something, and knowing it was Alex’s so she wasn’t going to turn away Jo. She wanted to help her the best way she could. That was inviting her to New York and she would look after her and see just how things would go.
But as she was going to land, Arizona was at the airport, and wanting to be the first to greet Jo. It has been so long since she has seen her and knew that the brunette would be grateful she had come and got her. It was a mess. Arizona just got nervous getting to the airport, and seeing all the planes, it took her back to where she was when she fell from the sky, but it is not as bad as it used to be. But she would do this to make sure Jo knew she wasn’t alone and they were going to be there together and she would be there along the way to help her with whatever she needs. That is what Arizona was there for, and she had the best center in New York for pregnant women.
Arizona was sitting down, and waiting for Jo. She got the text saying she was landed, and she couldn’t wait. She was exciting to see her and see just how much she has grown and make sure everything was looking good as she seen her. Standing up as soon as she heard Jo come into view and her voice being heard, Arizona and the biggest smile on her face and she pulled Jo into a hug. “Jo, hey! I am so happy to see you. Hope the flight wasn’t too bad for you.” Arizona was always concerned for pregnant women on planes, not knowing if there was turbulence or not. That is the worst part, and when Arizona knew she was good and she just nodded her head with a laugh.
‘I would say so, but eating is a good thing. I love that you have the appetite, it gets concerning when you aren’t hungry. So if you’re ready, we can grab food at this cute little diner, and then I can’t take you by the center, give you a tour, and then do a check up before we talk about a court of action we will take for when you’re here and how we will go about things. If you’re okay with that?” She didn’t want to mention Alex, because that was for another day, right now, shew as just happy to see Jo and see she was looking healthy and seems her belly was at a healthy size as well. So who was she to tell her otherwise.
“No, let me take your bags.” Arizona grabs both bags before Jo could and she leads her out of the airport. “Just lets get going. Don’t argue please. Just be glad Callie isn’t here, she would be worst then me, so be glad it is me.” Winking at Jo as she lets her know she is joking, but kind of not joking.

Arizona wasn’t really expecting anyone from Seattle to come and see her and Callie. But Jo, she needed her and both Callie and her opened their place up for the brunette. It wasn’t easy going to a new place and not knowing anyone, or any doctors. As Arizona has always been that person, but Seattle was her first home and she had met some great people, and now New York was her place of work and home, and he had been settling in. But hearing Jo and hearing just what happened, she needed her there so she can keep an eye on her and make sure her baby was healthy and she had a great pregnancy.
Arizona moved things around so she could be there and pick Jo up from the airport. JFK was always busy, but Arizona knew her way around there and she was in a place in baggage claim and sitting down. Just waiting for the brunette to arrive. She will get more about what had happened as soon as she sees her in person as she doesn’t want to do that over the phone as she didn’t think it was the best way of getting everything then over the phone. Though Arizona, she was mad at Alex for doing that to Jo and making her feel some sort of way. That wasn’t fair for her and that wasn’t something she thought he would ever do.
Arizona pulled her phone back out and texted Callie letting her know she was still waiting and she will be there soon. She was getting excited to see Jo and check her out and see how far along she is and make sure she was okay. She won’t have to lift a finger between Callie and herself, as that is why she is there. She is pregnant and needs the best care and that is what she is going to get, plus Sofia will have Jo there and familiar face, one she can’t wait to see as well. Arizona let Jo know just where she was as well for when she gets off the plane.
Arizona was sitting there and going through emails when she heard a familiar voice and she looked up with a dimpled smile on her face and Arizona stood up and pulled Jo into a hug. “OH my goodness it is so good to see you! How was your flight? And how are you feeling?” Sure, this would be Arizona asking how she was and hoping she was okay. “Are you hungry? We can grab a quick bite and then I can take you to where I work and the place I have now, and then just show you around if you’re up for it.” Reaching her hand out and Arizona wanted to take her bag. “Let me take you bag and lets get out of here.”

Arizona was someone who traveled a lot as a kid, being a military brat with her father in the service. But when she settled in Seattle, things were what they were supposed to be. She built a life and a home and it was the most at home she had felt in so long. Her daughter was born there. She had memories of everything else that was happening there, and then she had bad one of Callie leaving and moving with someone else across the country and never looking back. Maybe that is why Arizona changed a little bit. Seeing Callie move hurt more then she thinks she will ever admit at this point because she wasn’t allowed to care as they were over and have been according to Callie. But in a blink of an eye, Arizona was packing everything and she was moving to New York.
A new place and being close to Callie and Sofia having both mothers close, it was all Arizona cared about for the most part. But little did she know, Jo would be calling her. The new she got about Alex leaving, and that Jo was pregnant. Arizona wanted to help the best she could but she had to see everything before she could make decisions and help Jo. Jo wanted to come to New York and who was Arizona to tell her no. She just needed everything and making sure she was in a place where she had people and talking to Callie about it, that is all she did. Everything was set and now it was just waiting for Jo to get there and Arizona show her around and just make sure this baby was good. Though, Arizona was still mad that Alex was gone and left Jo without a word and Arizona not even getting a phone call. How could he do that? That is all that she was thinking about for the most part.
Everything int he apartment was ready for Jo. Arizona had to make sure she was well taken care of and today was the day she was landing, and Arizona took the morning off of work being Callie couldn’t and she was at the airport, waiting in baggage claim when she felt her phone go off. A smile on her face was evident when she seen that Jo was landed and she was finally in New York. A place Arizona had grown to love and making it feel like home. It took sometime, but she was just happy. Happiest she has been in a while and pulled her phone out and shot Jo a text.
[Text: Jo] “Awesome, I am excited to see you. I am down in baggage claim. I was able to swing being off and getting you and getting you settled in. So see you soon.” Hitting send, Arizona was sitting on a bench resting her feet before she seen Jo and getting caught up with her. This was all a lot on Jo and she was trying to make sure she settled in the best she could.
