Me: *sees in your tags ‘Lisbet nonsense* ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE, IT IS A GEM
Why thank you! Starting it was a whim of mine, but I’m happy people have been enjoying things I’d normally just daydream about and keep to myself. :) Right now I’m actually figuring out how to handle a couple of the next plot beats - so far I’ve mooostly stuck to canon, but Day 7/8 veers way off course and may take a few days for me to write through.

i'm so happy to see you back i could cry ;__; you were always one of my favorite writers for the fandom and i'm just so happy...!!!!
Anonymous said to anyway-i-love-vanderwood: Youre okay!!! I havent seen you on my dash in forever and Im glad to see your posts pop up! 💙💙💙
;w; Thank you. It makes me so happy that I was missed!! You don’t even know. I got dumped right around graduation, and while I’m not sulking about it everyday like I was before, re-falling in love with the RFA (and sharing it with my followers!) has been... comforting to say the least.
Ultimately write because I enjoy it, but having other people enjoy it makes it all the more fun for me!

what do you think of the ssum and its delay? did you play the demo before it was shut down?
I didn’t! Though the concept sounded very intriguing (especially Cheritz’s intention to hammer out the things they’d started experimenting with for Mystic Messenger) I immediately got the impression that the Ssum would not be out by its release date and I didn’t want to get myself hyped for a project that could be stuck indefinitely in Development Hell.
Not that I'm annoyed at Cheritz! I’d much rather a game be delayed than released far too early. But it didn’t shock me at all to see that they didn’t manage to make their ambitious launch timeline - it seemed way too quick for such a massive project. When (and if) it does hit the market, I’ll be excited for it, but for now I’m not troubled by waiting.

ELIZABETH THE III MC - DAY 7

Day 7 - The Meeting
Early in the morning, Zen wakes up from a nightmare and tells everyone about a strange dream he had.
It was of Elizabeth meowing at him by a mysterious castle in the woods, and as you’re listening to him talk about it, that uneasy feeling that’s been stewing inside of you forms into a tighter and tighter knot in your stomach. Even though they were in actuality so brief, you miss those early days of laughter from when you first met the RFA, and quietly you pray that you’ll get them back soon enough. That all of this will go away.
That Zen is wrong, and this isn’t some portent into the future - where Glam Choi proves herself to be so far down the well of self-obsession that she kidnaps Jumin’s cat in this hair-brained scheme to get him married.
No one else believes in Zen’s prophetic abilities, but honestly you’re the moron who trusted a guy on an Internet forum to help you run away from home so yes, you absolutely trust Zen’s psychic visions. And deep down, you think Jumin is going to believe in them too even though he calls them ridiculous drivel when he wakes up in the morning.
You’re proven right when Jaehee tells you that he’s cancelled all his morning meetings, has started refusing calls, and has locked Elizabeth the 3rd in a cage for reasons she can’t quite understand but you can somewhat guess at. He’s freaking out. He’s totally going into panic mode. Jumin Han is overworked, paranoid, can’t make good decisions and you know exactly what it feels like.
So much so that when Jaehee asks if you’d… you’d consider maybe visiting Jumin, you don’t say no outright.
It’s a bad idea. You know it’s a bad idea. Even not accounting for the hacker on the loose, you are a runaway. There are people who, if they see you, will make your situation infinitely more difficult and those consequences wouldn’t just be on you at that point.
They’d be on Jumin.
But there’s still no official word on your ‘disappearance’ (you have been googling your name every couple of hours to be sure), and while your phone is filled with missed calls, texts, and pleading voice-mails, it seems like for now you won’t instantly be recognized when you go out.
So you - against all better judgement, against the terror that’s pulsing in your veins and making your hands go numb - say yes. Okay. You’ll visit Jumin, because Jumin needs company, Jumin needs understanding, and Jaehee has too many things going on right now to also deal with her boss (and friend) having a complete emotional meltdown.
She arranges for a car to pick you up at a public spot, staying on the phone with you the entire while as you make your way towards the park. Every passerby sends you into a state of nigh-hyperventilating terror, but somehow you manage to make it into the company vehicle without passing out from the emotional strain.
Every muscle in your body gives up as you sink into the leather seats, and you let your head lean back against the headrest as you embrace the insanity of what you’re doing. Will going back to the apartment be this nerve wracking?
Will… Jumin be happy to see you?
Ahhh… your heart can’t take this!
You barely hear what anyone is saying as you’re escorted to the C&R building. You numbly follow a security guard who has been pre-warned of your arrival, and as they call for Mr. Han, you stand as still as you can, almost like you’re somehow to wish yourself invisible.
As soon as the door opens though
As soon as you look up at him, seeing his widened eyes and parted mouth
Tumblr media
It all melts away.
You’re not sure who hugs who first, but you do know that it’s him that pulls you inside before shutting the door.

ELIZABETH THE III MC - DAY 6.2
Prev ✿ Next
You know Seven’s busy trying to catch the hacker, and you know he’s prepping something big regarding it (given that he’s enigmatically lured Yoosung over to his house with the promise of Honey Buddha chips. Should you be worried that he’s willing to give his entire stash to Yoosung? It’s almost like he’s… planning to not need it anymore…)
(…)
(One step at a time.)
But this is a small request, and it meets two of your goals at once. You want Seven to talk to Jumin.
Talk to Jumin? He asks incredulously, and you can feel his Trickster Energy starting to vibrate on overdrive. “About marriage? About wedding plans with Elly? Or Lizzy? Or oh - oh, are we back to a double wedding!?”
“No!” you interrupt, being careful not to be dragged into Seven’s joke machine. “About… something serious. Seven, you know that Jumin really cares about the RFA, right?”
Seven pauses, but then carefully admits that yeah, Mr. Trust Fund kid - despite his serious demeanor - has always been staunchly protective of the group in his weird Jumin Han way. Though he’d kind of always thought it was him just clinging onto what he had left from V and Rika…
You huff. Ugh, why are geniuses usually the most stupid of people? That’s not it at all! Jumin is so relaxed around the RFA - he talks about cats and magic and goofy things, bickering with you all - because you’re his true friends. Even if he doesn’t admit it or realize it himself, it isn’t just the chatroom that’s precious, It’s the people in it. And you think deep down, it’d make him happy if he could be closer to everyone.
Seven is feeling some Weird Feels concerning his own personal baggage now, but because he’s unable to totally blow you off when you’re being serious he asks what your point is.
Your point, you respond, is that you want him to tell Jumin how he really feels about him.
“Lisbet I’m not in love with Mr. Directo-”
“No, I don’t mean that. Seven - tell Jumin that you think talking to him is fun, that you appreciate his company, that you’re glad to know him and that you’re cheering for him in your heart.”
It’s not like you’re asking him to totally drop his character. He’s free to phrase it how he wants! But you are positive these are things Seven is feeling, and all you’d like for him to do is take five minutes out of his day to peel off just a bit of the comedic veneer and come clean with why he spends so much time teasing Jumin. Because…
Jumin really, really needs to hear it right now.
That people treasure him.
That fighting for his happiness is worth it.
That even though his life is in total chaos right now because a corner-stone of his social existance has gone of the rails, he’s not… alone, and that it is OKAY for him to trust in other people. Rely on them. Because this is his precious RFA.
You… really don’t want him to just rely on you for support, and you also don’t want to see Seven being forever dishonest with how he feels about his own friends.
-Though if you also wanna confess to Jumin then you’d be pretty thrilled-
“BUT DON’T YOU LIKE JUMIN”
“ME BEING ABLE TO CHEER ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP WOULD OVERCOME ALL OTHER EMOTIONS”
You pause, realizing that this was a weird thing to say, and you’re glad Seven doesn’t grab onto it as a way to divert the topic back into comfortably shallow territory. Instead, he sighs, and he says… okay Lisbet. He doesn’t really think it’s going to work out like you said but… maybe… ugh! Maybe if it’d help get Jumin back to being fun he’ll try it, alright?!
As Seven hangs up, you wonder if he’s might be one of those so-called tsunderes he’s being going on about.
(The rest is under the read-more!)
Jumin’s pretty confused when he picks up a call from 707 and is treated to an onslaught of ideas about new cat projects the man has come up with - (he’s discussed such matters with Seven before, but he’d never gotten the impression that he had anything on his mind other than being strange…?). He’s also not used to Seven actually have grounded, logical ideas about how to make said cat projects a reality, but unfortunately Jumin doesn’t have time to indulge in anything that’s not strictly for-profit, so he’s about to hang up to focus on his own work when 707 suddenly shouts, “Wait!”
“Uh, there’s something else!!”
Jumin inquires what that something else is, and for the first time in years Luciel is forced to really confront his own feelings, so he takes a deep breath and tries to get them out.
“Mr. Trust Fund Kid - no… Jumin. I know it’s hard to talk about this stuff, but you’re doing a really good job despite what anyone else might say, and.. Uh… Cheer up, okay? God 707 is watching over you -”
- “I don’t need such a ridiculous god watching over me, thank you very much” -
“And you don’t have to do everything alone! Everything might seem big and impossible right now - like a Godzilla is roaring and smashing your company to bits! Oooh, scary~!”
After a cough, 707 continues, saying that… it’s really not good to drown himself in work. He’s got people around him who support him. Like Lisbet, like… like the RFA…
…It’s not like anyone just tolerates him y’know? Because he’s Mr. Director. Even Zen... deep down even Zen does care. Especially lately...
It’s good to talk about your emotions Jumin, because then… other people can understand you better, can help you deal with what you’re feeling, and none of us would ever use you… because.
Uh.
We’re friends!! And friends sympathize with each other and cheer each other on!!
YEP that’s it that’s what 707 wanted to say! Anyway STARSHIPS SPACE REFERENCE PEACE OUT BYE!!!!
Jumin Han has no idea what the hell just happened, and as he continues holding the soundless phone up to his ear, he squints in absolute confusion. But still, he…
Maybe feels better…?
How peculiar.

ELIZABETH THE III MC - DAY 6.1
Prev
✿ Next
Oh, THERE’S the disaster you were expecting.
Half of you is glad that the daily shoe has finally dropped, while the other part of you is getting really, really tired of watching people step on your friends.
You can tell something’s gone wrong when Jaehee calls, clearly frazzled and asking you to give Jumin some special care, and then you play phone tag and dial up Jumin immediately after to see what’s up. Both parties are enigmatic about the affair; all you really manage to catch is that Sarah - Jumin’s forced not-fiancee - barged in on a company meeting with Mr. Chairman’s blessing.
When Jumin tells you that he wants to run away from it all, that he’s desperate to escape for just one day, your heart aches because you know what that’s like and you know that he’s alluding to your current circumstances when he’s saying it. But he also knows that he can’t, because his employees are counting on him and above all else, Jumin Han will NOT let them down.
He won’t betray their livelihoods.
He won’t betray their trust.
He will keep the company strong not just out of personal pride and attachment to the family business, but because he NEEDS TO for so many people in South Korea.
…In a way, you feel blessed knowing you honestly weren’t that important to anyone in your life. Sure, it was depressing being a trophy, but the thought of being trapped in a cage of your own obligations makes you want to weep for him.
To shed the tears that he has held back for so long.
(You tell him you want to give a good talking too to all the parties involved, and you hear his voice soften as he says how cute it is to imagine you punching anyone with your small, tiny fists.)
(Your cheeks puffs out. How dare he!!)
When he says that you’ve taught him how valuable it is to have someone to listen, not try to solve his problems but just - listen, you feel a tingly warmth inside your chest. Inadvertently, your mind drifts back to what Seven said but… no. No, you’re - you’re really not… are you?
When the call ends, you both feel complicated - you from these odd emotions, and Jumin from the realization that you have so quickly become one of his most trusted comforts.
(what if something happens to you) screams something from the depths of Jumin’s core, but he shoves it deep down because he cannot deal with that idea right now.
Jaehee comes to the chatroom later and properly fills you in. Apparently, Mr. Chairman had brought Sarah - a complete outsider - to a private company meeting with the entire team of executives that Jumin was leading, and said board got to witness an extremely ugly, personal family fight as Jumin attempted to assert his boundaries. You cover your mouth with shock, mouth twisting as you read more and more. You can only imagine how horrifying that was.
How embarrassing it must have been for Jumin, a man who prides himself on his professionalism and someone who keeps emotional matters tucked close to his chest. And how painful it must have been to see his father act… in such an irresponsible way.
You hug your knees and try to think of how you can help.
(The rest is under the read-more!)
Getting to talk to Jumin later - properly, after he’s had a bit of time to digest this - makes you all the more restless, because you’re finally starting to see the concrete signs of him breaking down. He tells you about his lonely childhood, about how everyone praised him because they wanted something from him - everyone except his father who loved him unconditionally simply because Jumin was his son. To Jumin, his father was the one person whose opinion always mattered. To Jumin, he’s one of the few people he could actually trust, one of the few who he could show admiration and love for because if other people didn’t mean it when they complimented Jumin, why would Jumin ever think anything positive he has to say would hold any weight?
It all comes out in a stream of consciousness in the messenger, both Jumin’s love for his father but also his hate, his resentment of the constant womanizing, all of the people he brought into the house that only wanted to use him, his disappointment in his father for being so blind to the charms of shallow people, of - of doing this to him, of trying to force him into a marriage that he doesn’t want at all, and…!
Was - was this what it was like for you? Was whatever happened between you and your family - was it as painful and ugly and complicated as that? He knows you asked him not to ask, he knows you don’t want to talk about it but -
No.
He’s sorry, disregard that. Disregard it all in fact - he shouldn’t have vented his feelings to you. It was selfish, and silly, only placing a burden on you and he should be stronger than this…!
You tell him that’s a crock of NONSENSE, he ABSOLUTELY should not feel bad in confiding in you! It’s not weakness, it’s just him needing some help processing his emotions which he’s allowed to have, dang-it! You’ll karate chop anyone who says otherwise.
And.
…about his question.
It - …yes. You understand very, very well what it’s like to have complicated feelings for a parent. Torn between love and hate, disappointed in their choices but still clinging to those fond memories, and just… hoping that everything will start being good again, but…
While you don’t think right now is the best time for you to be spilling your story, you want him to believe you, you understand. And you understand that there is nothing you can say that’ll make this go away.
All you can do is be there. Listen. Shake him and tell him over and over again that his feelings MATTER, that he can talk to you about them, and he’s allowed to feel painful and complicated and troubled by all this.
The RFA will be here supporting him.
You’ll be here supporting him.
Before he leaves to rest, he thanks you from the bottom of his heart, says he is interested in hearing what you have to say about your own trauma one day, and... that... he really wants to see you.
You want to hug him so badly in that moment.
Unfortunately, all you can do is snap him a selfie of you giving him a bright, cheery grin, an encouraging thumbs up…
And following that, sending a quick text to Seven that reads, “Hey, got a sec? I could use your help with something.”

Day 6 - I Won’t Say I’m in Love~
Today is... quiet so far?
No - more like nothing particularly new has happened, the situation is just generally going downhill.
Jaehee discovers that Glam Choi fed the rumors of Mr. Han’s divorce to the press, immediately painting her as a suspicious character with dubious motives. Said rumors also trouble Jumin greatly, leading to him worrying that the price of company shares will drop and causing him to overwork himself further. Seriously universe, give this man a break!
You’re even willing to stoop to petitioning God 707 if that’s what it takes!!!
...Speaking of 707. Your dynamic has shifted drastically from when you first met. You’re no longer merely the butt of his jokes or the straight man to the ridiculous caricature of himself that he plays. Now you’re playing  along or - in most cases - actively bullying him back.
Observe.
707: That is because I’m the master of the universe!
Lisbet: More like you’re a masterful nuisance.
707: Oh, my heart! My lovely Lizzy is so cruel! I’m dying!!!
Lisbet: Seven, everyone knows that cockroaches are impossible to kill.
Seven starts calling you a tsundere, and while you don’t know what that is at first as soon as you find out you vehemently deny it to comedic effect. It’s all part of the bit!
Though you’ll admit that saying to 707 “I’m the only person allowed to bully you!” is... at least half-true, if not more so. As is, “I’ll karate-chop anyone who breaks that rule! Which is why you’ve gotta treat yourself better, okay?!”
look. he’s. he’s actually a really dedicated and nice guy, and you super don’t like how badly his company treats him or how much he disses himself.
Anyway, that’s your Special Relationship with Seven - (”Let me cuddle you, Lizzy!” “Go eat a bag of sawdust!”) - though there are times when you drop the jokes and force him to do the same.
Since you had That Conversation where he admitted to using jokes to cover up his actual feelings, you’ve got better at prying his actual feelings out of him. Or at the very least getting him to orbit around the concept of his actual feelings rather than just launching them straight into space.
It’s like this that you start talking about relationships. Specifically, the two of you and your relationship with Jumin Han.
707 starts off a phone call by performing some of his usual “Jumin should really get married to you~” gag. His tone takes a turn for the serious though when he comments on how well you guys get along, and...
“Lisbet, you’re falling for Mr. Trust Fund Kid, right?”
WHAT?? You exclaim, turning red. NO!! And then seeing an opportunity to wriggle out of anything difficult, you suddenly turn the conversation back on him.
See - you’ve been thinking. If Seven is disguising all of his feelings with jokes, then what does his fascination with bullying Jumin amount to? Particularly bullying Jumin about maybe being gay? Is 707 perhaps hopeful that... Jumin experiences the same desires? That he has a chance, or maybe... feels the same way?
WHAT?? Seven exclaims, and then bursts out laughing. No! Of course he doesn’t like Jumin, that’d be silly! Besides, you’re obviously better suited for Jumin.
You say that you think 707 would also be cute with Jumin.
“No, you need to get married to Jumin.”
“No, YOU need to get married to Jumin...!”
...this is probably the weirdest cat-fight that’s ever happened about Jumin Han ever.
Somewhere, a cat mom sneezes and hopes he isn’t getting sick. That’s the last thing he needs to deal with.

Hi! I hope your doing well. I just wanted to say how much I adore your writing and how you take the time to give each character distinctive qualities while still somehow making it hilarious. You can really see the time and thought you’ve put into it. I have no idea how u do it. Also, do you have any tips for productivity when writing? Because recently I feel like a dead fish whenever I open Word. Can’t get anything done. Thank you!
Aww, why thank you! That’s something I’m really particular about when I’m writing headcanons - “What makes each character’s section distinctive from everyone else’s?” Sometimes it’s through varying up the situation, sometimes it’s presenting the same kind of situation to accent each characters individual characteristics, sometimes it’s even just one line that makes me nod and go, “Yep! A fan of x character will get a kick out of reading that.”
I’m glad that translates.
Productivity is a tricky thing! My dumb ADHD ass struggles with it constantly - but I have amassed some tips and tricks over the years, so maybe some of them will work for you?
Sit down, set yourself a short wordcount limit, and force yourself to hit that limit before you do anything else. And by short, I mean short - like 100 or 150 words! It may not seem like much, but if by 150 words it still feels like you’re pulling teeth, you may need to try another tactic... but you’ve still written 100 more words! What often happens to me though is, by writing 100 words, I get over the first hump of the executive dysfunction that makes me not want to start the task, and it gets a lot easier from then on. I’ll usually come away with 500, 1000, 1500 words... or more!
You can expand on this by giving yourself a reward after hitting that goal. Often what I’ll do is try to hit 500 words, then let myself play 30 minutes of a video game, then try to hit another 500 words.
Don’t worry about quality. That comes in editing. As you write, you’re fleshing out the story, but it’s way easier to take a rock and polish it into a diamond than materialize a diamond out of nothing at all.
Try varying up your environment. It’s easy to get distracted while you’re at home - I often go to coffee shops or the library if I want to focus on writing a lot at once. Also: a fancy drink is a great motivator for a job well done.
Take walks! It gets said so often, but it’s  seriously good to get up and stretch your legs, and it helps with the thinking process. its also healthy. please stay healthy.
Don’t feel obligated to write scenes in order. If something is sticking out to you, write that, and if you’re stuck jump ahead to where you’ve got an idea and fill in the gaps later. Yeah, you’ll have to change stuff in editing, but you’re going to have to change stuff in editing regardless. It’s inevitable, and no writing is wasted writing.
I hope some of that helped! I also have all the advice I’ve given over the years under #advice, and I know some of it is writing related.

Yo I'm with yall about that lw shipping lizbet with seven?? (Enough that it kinda reminds me of that phonecall near the end of jumins route about a cookie)
alright I just got another chat with 707 that fueled the shipping fires: so before I go to bed here’s for you anons
It’s the middle of the night and 707 is dying from overwork, worry, and guilt about potentially being the reason the hacker is targeting the RFA. Once he sees that you are still online, he comes to the Obvious and Magnificent conclusion that he should cheer himself up by harassing you for awhile.
This comes in the form of Seven’s Fictional Cat Wedding: Take Two as he expresses shock, awe, and amazement that Jumin Han may be getting engaged (however forcibly) to an actual human woman rather than Elizabeth the 3rd. He had such big plans! He was going to throw upon the church doors  during the ceremony and shout
“STOP THIS WEDDING!”
Before grabbing onto his sweet Elly’s delightful paws and escaping with her into the sunset!
Her whiskers! Her sweet kitty pads! Her dazzling blue eyes! Aaaaahhh~ maybe if Jumin gets married he can have Elizabeth all to himself!
Or if Jumin would just go ahead and get married to you, then both of them could be happy with their true loves~!
Oooh, ooooh!! You could have a double wedding, with cupcakes shaped like cats and Longcat as the minister! Ahh, he’s tearing up thinking about it~ See the beautiful tears sparkling like starlight~
Because of That Incident, you’ve softened up considerably around Seven and - feeling bad that he’s been working himself to the bone for you - you finally play along.
“But 707, wouldn’t you want to burst in on my wedding with Jumin and steal me away? Just look at these paws!”
(You send a photo of your hands.)
“And these eyes!”
(A close up selfie)
“And these cute, adorable whiskers!”
(With a spare Bic pen you’ve drawn lines on your face and 707 is laughing his ass off.)
“I’m irresistible!”
He dramatically types out a gasp (having each letter be a separate line) and asks how you could possibly make him choose! Ahh, Elly or Lizzy? Lizzy or Elly? No, his heart can’t take it! It’ll be torn ~ in ~ two!
He wants to steal you both away!!!
You go back and forth for awhile about wedding decorations and who would wear a veil better - you or Elizabeth? Before Seven finally has to get back to work. Before he does though, you send him an audio file attached to a message that reads, “A little pick-me-up, just for you.”
When he opens it, he hears your voice saying, “I’ll always love you, meow and forever~” and ah haha oh wowie
he must have had too much caffeine
why is his heart doing that weird funny thing...?

No offense, but I'm actually finding myself partially shipping Seven with Lisbet. I know she's meant for Jumin, but I thought Seven and Lisbet together is cute too.
none taken because quite honestly part of me is doing the same thing. like, seven means all of the “I love you lizzy~~~” stuff as a joke at first but imagine that moment where he realizes that somewhere along the way it became very much Not a Joke.
then imagine him trying to convince lisbet it’s not a joke.
while lisbet is 100% convinced it is a joke and is also trying to figure out if rika’s apartment has a CO2 leak or something because how she??? in love with HIM???
HE LIES TO HER AND TEASES HER ALL THE TIME, WHAT’S WRONG WITH HER.

I can't wait for Seven to meet Lisbet in person. Would he actually pick her up and spin her around like he does to Elly?
Things 707 will absolutely do to Lisbet once they meet in person:
Pick her up underneath her armpits (because she’s a 5′ tall miniature human) and spin her around.
Pick her up with a hug and twirl her with her feet dangling just above the ground.
Put her in an office chair and run around with her down the halls.
Make her put her hand up like a paw and go ‘nyaaa’, then turn said gesture into a secret handshake between the two of them.
Put his hands on her cheeks and smoosh them together.
Whip our a microphone and sing The Worst Karaoke about how much he loves her.
Dramatically announce the entrance of Princess Lisbet the 1st! when she walks through doorways.
Pat her head.
Adjust her collar.
Fluff her hair
Rub his cheek on her hair
Get knee’d in the chin because YOU’RE MESSING UP HER HAIR
and generally just make Jumin want to take a restraining order out on him.
