“I may have come close, but I never had what you two have. Something always held me back or stood in the way. How you live your life is your business, just remember, our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once. And before you know it, your heart is worn out, and, as for your body, there comes a point when no one looks at it, much less wants to come near it. Right now, there’s sorrow, pain. Don’t kill it and with it the joy you’ve felt.”
Call Me by Your Name (2017) dir. Luca Guadagnino

spend each day cultivating as much joy as possible. you are exactly where you need to be. if you’re struggling; find the lesson in it in order to move forward. open yourself to receiving messages from your higher self and guides; they are trying to communicate with you. work hard out of diligence, not pride. create the foundation for the life you want to live. trust that things will unfold in divine timing, exactly they’re meant to.

In case anybody needed to hear this, it isn’t selfish to put yourself first sometimes. It isn’t selfish to turn people or things down in order to rest or recover, or when you know it won’t be good for you to say yes. It isn’t selfish to say no. You are allowed to set boundaries for yourself, and this isn’t mean, or toxic, or selfish. It’s a way of protecting yourself, and there’s nothing mean about that.
