I think most F/B shippers tend to agree that pre-chosen Faith and Buffy never had sex (or...probably never had sex) and I’m inclined to agree with that too (See their thinly veiled conversation in Bad Girls.) But I’d also like to submit the argument that it would be very cool and fun and great if they did. So that’s what this story is, kinda. Season three if everything happened the same on-screen but there was a lot more textual gay to go with the subtextual gay themes. Exploring Faith's thought process and psyche and Buffy's latent repression of all things sexual and ‘bad.' Because gay sex and gay repression can and do exist at the same time, and the show really sets the stage to unpack that.

The title is from a T.H.C song and fun fact they're the band that Veruca was a part of in season 4 (although I don't think she was actually singing.) All of their songs are great but Girlflesh and Unsaid Warning are very Faith and Buffy and you should give them a listen.
