He’d arrived, pockets full of pictures of his lovely niece only to find the town in an absolute state. When he’d made his way to Gamgees Grocery to start his shift it seemed to be the only thing anyone wanted to talk about. The town seemed to be of three minds about the whole affair. Most were completely affronted that some strange city slicker had just up and decided to move to their town with no warning, no present relatives and least of all permission to be there in the first place. A smaller group collectively recalled and gathered sinister stories of the house that had been moved into and were sure that only bad things would come from a new owner after the last had mysteriously vanished. The rest of the town, thankfully, were unconcerned with the newcomer and had far better things to do than concern themselves with a neighbour that only seemed to want to be left alone.
