About Takara-kun to Amagi-kun

I cannot believe that a Japanese BL finally has proper communication and consent. Two boys who talk properly about their feelings and worries and emphasise that not talking will lead to misunderstandings and will hurt them both? And even more, it is shown how they learn the need of proper communication and that saying what you feel makes you vulnerable but if you want to be with someone you need to be vulnerable.

• The one thing that inspired me to make this post, a bit about WYB’s side account. It’s not a secret that he has one, probably even multiples but for some reason this one got leaked. especially back in 2019 when his phone number got leaked and some people allegedly verified that this same number was used to register the account. they noticed it followed a couple of motorcycle related accounts, bobo’s true love at the time lol and well the most juicy thing here is that he was visiting the bjyx supertopic.

Then by the end of 2019, it gained followers. WYB might have noticed that he was somehow discovered so the account cleared all it’s watch list and never moved again. Everything is gone. That freakin moon profile picture does not help at all cause we all know his fondness for it and how it’s one of the fandom’s symbolism. The way it was created on 3/14 is also very sus.

We have all CPN’d that he visited the ST and why not tbh. Even if you don’t believe in BJYX, i think you can say that he has visited it and at the very least knows of it’s existence. I wonder what he saw tho. LOL. I would love to get more information on this account’s watch list and it’s just so funny to have some confirmation about one of his side accounts.

no i’m lying, there is another alleged side account from 2018. A weifen gave the tip ( allegedly lol i’m gonna use this word a lot ). It is also cleared but people did capture that he kept an eye out on XZ and XZS, and also liked a motorcycle video that was not really popular. So maybe someone who knows about the moto world would recognize. I just noticed the times both accounts were created. I don’t think WYB has the time to maintain his side accounts anymore with how busy he is but i imagine this gremlin having all the accounts and just looking at everything out there.

• I have always loved personal stories from turtles and while I am wary of some, there are ones that particularly make me soft. this one for example:

My uncle is the kind of staff who works with the crew, he is ten years into the circle. I usually ask him about gossip in the circle. This year (2019 ) I carefully asked Bojun Yixiao if it was real. Uncle said he didn't know them that well, but he knew that the relationship between the two is very good. It is said that WYB & XZ are modest and polite. They have no personality problem and have always been real and not fancy.

He also said (emphasis!) he will help me get Xiao Zhan’s autographed photo in October. The time was right to take advantage of the work appointment, and after the end of XZ’s work, he signed one, my uncle said that “my niece likes you two very much”. Xiao Zhan raised his head in a daze, and said, “huh” My Uncle was about to explain, Xiao Zhan laughed a bit and said, "Is it Wang Yibo?" Uncle also laughed.

What gets me in this is how XZ is confused then it immediately clicks for him — is it WYB? ☺️ I mean, granted that 2019 was such a big year for them as a pair and who could someone be referring to when talking about “you two..” This exchange ( true or not ) lives in my head rent free. and the fact that people in the industry have nothing to say but good things about them really says a lot.

• The COVID test schedules that were leaked actually showed it was the same date and time. down to the second 02:23:38. I know this is bad, people shouldn’t actively seek out things like this but my brain won’t let this piece of information go. 💀💀💀

• WYB’s “Changsha” residence when he was still actively working in TTXS was provided by Hunan TV network. It’s not his, it is located very close to the station to make it easier for him. Other staff also stayed in that same area. The candy is, XZ allegedly sends things to that address.

• This video and fake rumor that is going around recently. People are speculating that WYB’s reaction in this routine was because of something that happened and that the dancers are actually teasing him. The rumor is XZ visited the set of SDC and he was just lounging, WYB was there and was about to kiss him but some dancers saw them, and our boys ended up being embarrassed.

you can definitely give a more plausible explanation of why he reacted like this but that’s not the point of this whole post. it’s the cpn that could be connected to it. and i mean if had someone like XZ, the love of my life just lounging, looking all gorgeous — how can you blame WYB for wanting to kiss him 🥺

• I’m not really a kadian enthusiast like all the other BXGs but the recent 232323 timing is making me 👀. Yes we know you Love Zhan.

Time is 14:30, but it can be 2:30 so it keeps up with the 23. I think the reason why i’m drawn to this CPN is it was posted a day after the whole yibo relationship rumor. If you look at YBO’s page, after the post saying the rumor is fake, the next one is this. So it’s like saying, those rumors are false and I only love XZ. 23. 🤍

• the emoji similarities between xzs and ybo used in their douyin posts. not only that, it’s a match for ones during OOL ( Gu Wei ) and BAH ( Chen Wei ). I mean, do they ship them too?

• I don’t really believe in 🍉 unless they are about upcoming product endorsements cause I think those can be leaked by the brands themselves. but during HB’s initial run, there was one with 2m followers who shared that XZ bought multiple screening slots for the movie.

The melon didn’t say he bought it because of WYB, it only mentioned WYB because let’s face it— his name is associated with it and he is actively promoting. What’s so entertaining to me and makes me grin when i think of it are the people’s comments. HAHAHAHAHA! They know what is being implied. You all know deep down there is some truth it but you refuse and say all kinds of things.

Secret Crush On You-The Series

Just finished watching the last episode a few minutes ago...so sad it's over. The day I tried the first episode, I watched about 2 mins but thought it was going to be too overblown for me, so I stopped and tried watching something else. I was surprised as I watched the other show that my thoughts kept going back to the energy and gleefulness I saw in SCOY's first moments. I ended up stopping the second show ( can't even remember which one it was now) and just had to go back and give SCOY another try.

Best decision.

Episodes 1-5 were already up and I ended up binging them all. Once I got into the wackiness of Toh Jao Som and Daisy's friendship I was hooked. They're so chaotic, but also supportive and sweet to each other. Friendship goals for real.

Also, the chemistry between the 2 leading couples was really good. SkyJao took a little time to go on me since Jao always seemed reluctant and scared. I didn't think it was cute that it seemed like Sky had to force Jao all the time. Jao would never expressly say no, but it always seemed awkward between them until Jao finally loosened up and trusted Sky a bit more. NueaToh was so cute! The teasing, the eye contact and the kisses. They did it all. Sweet and cute, hot and steamy, emotional and silly too.

I never felt bored. Not for one minute in any of the episodes. There were moments of frustration ( Van Gogh/Red discussion), of anger (tj.go.to.hell posts), and sadness (Daisy/Day dilema), but never boring.

I won't take any complaints about Toh's collection either. The show addresses his actions multiple times to show that he and others know it's creepy and to deliver the message that his actions are not standard or accepted. I didn't read the novel so I don't know if the show exaggerated or toned down Toh's actions for the series. I do know that I didn't take it too seriously and just enjoyed the crazy moments of he being super awkward trying to keep items.

I think the cast did a good job, but special shout out to Seng for playing Toh. Never slacked for a minute in his role and really made it hard to imagine him behaving in any other way. I feel he embodied Toh very very well.

Also, really liked that there were all sorts of couples. BxB GxG BxG Trans x B. Each with their moments of cuteness. One of my main complaints with BLs is that the story doesn't leave space for other couple configurations, which isn't realistic. It's like this is supposed to be a space on inclusivity so why do so many shows exclude other pairs? I so happy SCOY included so many. Obviously there are more, but I definitely like this step in the right direction.

I really loved watching this show. I previously thought Cutie Pie was going to be one of my favorite BLs this year, but SCOY really pushed it back. My sleeper hit of 2022 so far. SCOY will probably stay at the top of the list, because I honestly can't see another show coming out this year and giving me as much life and as many feels as this one.

Lastly, this was produced by Saint Suppapong. I think this was his first project from IDOLFACTORY. The next is a GL, GAP The Series, which I watched the trailer for. I'm excited to see it as well. I feel that I can have high expectations since I like SCOY so much.

Completed watching star on my mind and cutie pie and can I just say scoy has totally destroyed my immunity to "unnecessary misunderstandings couples go through in dramas " cuz i just got so frustrated over both shows and i was never like this like secret crush on you is such a breath of fresh air people have insecurities about their relationship they talk , people are unsure about themselves they talk and wholesome couples who love each other so purely and not a hint of toxicity like do you realise how rare that is no one is pushing boundaries , no one is undermining or underestimating anyone , both parties respect and love each other and treat each other as such and great communication . Scoy has set my standards for relationship and dramas so high i don't think I can enjoy other shows as much as I used to and i am truly not ready to say goodbye to such a beautiful and unexpected show next week . I will miss scoy .

Often times in BL (and dramas in general) there are various friendship groups around the main characters but none of them has felt so real and organic as the juniors in Secret Crush on You. Toh, Jao, Som, and Daisy love each other so much and while it was evident in the first two episodes with just how far they are willing to support Toh, it was the scene in episode 3 where they all huddle on the ground and cry together that cemented just how…real and lovely their bond is.

Where 3 goes, 4 goes as well. Wherever one goes, the others will follow. You don’t have to do this alone because you have us, always.

It’s comical to watch these four get into wild shenanigans. They share a singular brain cell most of the time but when it’s time to be real, when someone is showing raw vulnerability, the others in return give it right back. In the first episode when Toh cried over the gift being throw in the garbage, Som, Jao, and Daisy were crying right there with him. Just…ahh!! The empathy, the love, the support, their friendship!!

i watched all 7 episodes of secret crush on you last night and i’m not gonna lie, at first, toh’s obsession crush on nuea made me unconfortable, but as the show went on i realized that toh always thought the pictures, the soda can and other trinkets he keeps, are the only things he is allowed to have.

he and his friends are outcasts, they are not the hot popular guys. they aren’t allowed to touch, only look, dream, fantasize. 

that became very clear as jao kept running away from sky, even though sky has been very open about his intentions. he’s “chubby”, he’s not the kind of guy sky is “supposed” to want.

toh is much the same, he tells nuea he’s “happy” with just admiring his crush from afar, because he thinks this will remain as that secret crush you have in college and after they graduate, that will be the end of it. they don’t take sky and nuea’s actions seriously, nuea for example is “just teaching” toh how to kiss.

it’s very obvious that nuea and sky have feelings for them. sky spent an entire night outside waiting for jao to turn off his lights (!!!!!) , nuea is out there telling everyone, including his ex-affair (?friend with benefits?), he likes this person (toh) and he’s serious about them.

There's so much in the way Toh wakes up and moves away, taking a memory of a moment he thinks is going to go away, a moment he can't trust, love that he doesn't see himself as worthy of, the way Nuea reassures him but Toh still struggles to believe the words because of how he's always see himself, how he's always been the joke, the one that gets laughed at, not the one that gets the boy let alone the one who gets the engineering sports prodigy.

And Jao's doubts, Jao's deep insecurities about who he is and who Sky is and that fear. The fear that love is malleable, that there's someone better for Sky out there, that he is only a stepping stone, that he could never be anything more, that Sky could never be as serious as he seems because Jao cannot imagine loving himself the way Sky loves him.

Sky and Nuea both Toh and Jao very much. They love them deeply and they love for who they are, for all the things that make them insecure, for all the things that make them exactly who they are. But they're in an uphill fight against their lovers own insecurities and the exact things that make them love them so much.

So I started SCOY and the second hand embarrassment is REAL. But whats keeping me hooked even more even than the cute relationship between the couples is the friend groups! Toh, Jao, Som and Daisy feel like a real queer friend group. Like they feel like people I could actually know rather than some straight persons idea of queer people. Their 3 equals 4 things is so sweet and they are so supportive of Toh without enabling more serious unhealthy habits, if that makes sense? And with Nuea's friends, I feel like we get less of their dynamic but I love that their is a wlw couple!!! At least I think they are a couple? And the show has the evil ex/mean girl rival trope which annoys me when that's the only female character but there are so many female characters in this show!!!

Oh, it's very real. But the friendship is real and the relationships are darling and the queerness is honest and true and everything works together despite the secondhand embarrassment and the cringe humor.

They are definitely a WLW couple, just for the record, and are very minor but together and darling for the entire series so it's quite A+ no denials.

It's a story about friendship and queerness and insecurities and putting people on pedestals and loving people and holding them tight and talking to them and trusting people and being with people and being honest and being open and being yourself and being honest and believing in the people around you and believing that people are good and it's just such a gorgeous show that I'm very glad to have you join us here!

SCOY is a show that I will recommend to almost anyone because one you get past the humor and find the heart, it's the kind of show that doesn't let go.

(And, yeah, they did the evil wanna-be but they did also have plenty of positive female rep and made sure to shut them down specifically for what they did and not just for being interested in the boys.)

Yesterday I finished SCOY and, fam, it's one of the best BL I've ever seen. The final filled me with such tremendous joy. I have lots of thoughts about this, it's just, my queer little heart felt embraced, y'know? I cried happy tears; it became one of my favorite series ever

It's so, so good, isn't it? And the ending was just... perfect. Soft and loving and showed up how much they could be loved and were loved and did love.

SCOY was an amazing show wrapped up in just one step too much cringe humor but with a heart of absolute gold. I'm so, so glad that so many people have watched and loved it!

It's truly a BL the embraced queerness, celebrated it and enjoyed it without ever getting too serious or getting dark. They just said 'love is love and you are loved and you can talk about being loved and everyone can be loved.'
