State Headcanon
I kinda felt a question/answer format would be the best way to explain me (Leroy) and Selly-Sel39’s state headcanons. So... yeah lmao
How do these states relate to Alfred/America?
The answer is quite simple, they don’t. No state is a relative of Alfred’s in any way, be it sister, brother, cousin, daughter, son, etc. If anything, they’re more like close friends if not even enemies (sometimes).
So... Are any states related?
Well, no. No states are related, except for a few based on names, history, or simply similarities. To us it made no sense for 50 different people to be brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. And they’re all around the same age, appearance wise, so “parents” wouldn’t really work, would it?
”Appearance wise”?
Well, yeah. I suppose Physical-wise would’ve been better wording, but “appearance” sounds better. To explain, states are kinda more like spirits than anything else (Same goes for cities and countries) and have been around for only a little longer than the actual country. Therefore, while they may look younger, they’re actually 200+ years old. It’s also why, in order to kill something like that, you’d have to do some crazy things to the landmass itself.
Is a state/country/city/etc immune to sickness, hunger, etc?
No. That would be silly. If only the spirit is hurt, then rather than dying, they’d go into a sort of coma. These can last anywhere from a couple weeks or months to a few years. Of course, in this situation medical attention greatly speed up the time it would take for a state to heal and wake up from said coma. They aren’t immune to things like the common cold either, and deal with it just as your average person would. I suppose we could call them “Landmass Spirits”? I have no idea.
Can a landmass spirit reproduce?
Yes! They can, and are perfectly capable of doing so. They do it the same way as any other human being does it, and that also means the same rules apply. Two men can’t reproduce, and two women can’t reproduce. Not naturally, anyways. The offspring would age, die, and really just overall be your average human being. Of course, this doesn’t mean they can’t inherit something from their parents, such as being able to tame and own pet bears like California.
.~ THE END ~.
I believe I covered everything! If you have any questions or believe I missed something go ahead and let me know ;u;
These are HC for the state universe of Selly-Sel39 and Leroy, and do not apply to all fanmade states/cities/countries/etc. -- Mod Leroy
