Poem- Crimson Rose

The woman is back, clad in the black cloak of loss,

I knew our roads, would soon cross.

Cruising through the doors of my restraints, she sits beside me,

Rekindling guilt and patting the regret free.

Pallid-faced and hollow-eyed she stared ahead,

While the passion of my amort heart bled.

Hours pass in silence; the hearth runs cold,

Strolling through the memories all young and old.

She has left for now, the figure of gloom,

Whilst the crimson rose on the sill blooms.
