I just finished writing the rough draft for my first chapter of the funny pirate au and i got two of my non-KCD2 player friends to read over for grammar. I am fairly certain that one of them is fully invested for Hansry. Can't wait for them to realise that there will be some Isterik and John x Sam (WHAT IS THEIR SHIP NAME!?!? 😩)

Anyways this is really fun. It's more like a retelling of the main plot in different settings, but I hope soon it will look more different to the game. I'm also writing at least 3 chapters before I post anything.

On an related note I now might actually make a pirate Au fanfic (I HAVEN'T WRITTEN A FAN FIC SINCE I WAS 12). It would follow the main plot a lot but it should stray in certain sections yk

Chat i love OFMD so much 😩 and yeah of course I'll do Liechtenstein. I also took some light inspiration from Lucius (as well as Josephine from DAI LMAO). Honestly when people suggest things and request stuff I have more incentive to do it lmao (please chat i nearly ditched this au and then two ideas popped up😭😩)

Anyways here are some HCs

-He isn't actually a pirate

- he's working as a spy for the dutch and English against the Spanish

- He specifically works for Jobst who i probably will hc as an english governor or Commodore.

- I think compared to Jobst (who is a self serving ass) he's so much more compassionate towards others

- he particularly found a genuine affinity for aiding the jewish people in cuba

- this isn't just for some political gain but out of kindness.

- facies himself more as a diplomat than a spy however

- He can read and write pretty well and whenever he's on ships he's often forced to record and take notes.

- I particularly think that Jobst forces him to do many jobs he doesn't want to do that kinda go under Quarter master work

- Sam and Him are in a relationship. Mayhaps they are in the matelodge, though I still need to think how exactly that would go since I don't really see john as a pirate/privateer.

-Either way there is something going on between the two of them without a straight explanation

- I definitely believe that their relationship is much more complicated then Hansry as John doesn't really have that same sense of freedom as them as he never is a pirate.

-And yes i do ship them they are so cute (i don't really ship Liechtenstein x Jobst tho)

- I also need to draw more characters other than Hans (Man my biases show so much)

I don't have too many hc about John, I need to get to know hos character better to write more stuff down

I really want to get back into writing again, but now I need to come up with a story concept I won't ditch two weeks after coming up with it. sigh

I just got Oblivion Remastered and istg i better see Elder Scrolls Au's of kcd2. I need to see Hans as a breton (my main player race next to wood elf)

I've been very exhausted and kinda burned out from art, I did one thing for F!Hans (I don't love it but it's whatever). But I'd also like to share some funny things that happened in my hans capon playthrough

-A lot of running and screaming

- "Whats that noise-" BOOM

- A lot of running away from supermutants

- I think hans is low-key kinda scared of cogsworth

- I still can't get over, "mista Hans"

- Press □ for sarcasm

- Exploring the common wealth and comming across a trader and when she asked what he was doing hans said "lookin for love"

- when he agreed to barter she said "ahah... keep your shirt on" which was insane.

- Hans also met piper briefly. Honestly that would be an interesting duo.

- Also he met danse. I don't think he likes being told what to do outside of combat.

 - I don't think he will be Joining BOS

-Currently, at the time of writing this, Hans is lost in a powerplant trying to find the marker for some minutemen quest

-After this, I'm getting my boy Maccready (i gotta go through the combat zone to get to good neighbor oh dear)

Obviously we know the symbolism between henry/hans as Lancelot/galehaut. Its spoon fed to us if we do the romance. but the greek mythology nerd in me it thinking about Apollo/Hyacinthus. I think this is interesting as I read that someone once equated istvantoth/erik with Patrochilles/Achilles and i Agree.

Now it's probably very obvious by now of which greek god I am the most interested in, so of course the story of him and his lover is my favorite greek tragedy. I equated Apollo as Hans as they both have heavy usage of the bow, they both are bisexual playboys, and me (and others) use lots of sun symbolism, probably because of his colour palette. There is probably more i could get into.

I find hans as apollo even more fascinating when you know that apollo was on the side of the trojan while Achilles was on the side of the greeks. Apollo is also said to be the one to have shot Achilles' ankle which allowed his enemies to strike him down. Now Patrochilles and Hyacinthus obviously never fought eachother in battle so the connection is weaker there. But focusing more on Hans and Henry, we don't know how their story ends. Henry as the narrator in KCD1 suggested that Henry grows old, while history tells us Hans died tragically young however to the canon of the games things do change. Who knows, maybe Hans will strike down Erik allowing Henry to kill him. Or maybe Erik will kill henry allowing the poetic prophecy to complete its self.

I love greek mythology and I wanted to connect this to something i know pretty well. I really wanna make art based on this, but I'll see how i feel.

Crap i forgot about Paladin Danse... I don't think Hans would actually willingly join the brotherhood of steel. I'll play it as naively as i can before I decide on the factions. Still leaning towards the railroad

I think i did really well with making him, if Henry wins the vote ill probably put this play through on hold. Though another question popped into my head would he side with the Institute or Railroad or minute men. I feel like we would initially side with the institute or BOS but then realise how messed up it is and switch to railroad or MM. Same with Henry lmao

I really want to share the reasoning behind the stats that I chose for him

S - 4 It's reasonable that he's quite strong. He does use melee in the game and has gotten into several first fights. but I also don't see him having a large carry weight, he also doesn't really have any crafting skill.

P - 5 He's both a hunter and an archer, so Vats would be quite important. He needs to be precise when it comes to his aim, and he did shoot a boar. He also isn't shy about stealing, as he relieved the jobst of a bow and likely stole other things. He also managed to avoid the law for a while when it came to Poaching.

E - 3 Hans is tough don't get me wrong, but I swear he's so easy to take down in combat when I'm fighting beside him. I don't think my pretty princess works very well when it comes to this. The only thing is i think he would have a decent amount of stamina.

C - 5 ah yes, dashing young man, able to woo both pretty ladies and even his squire. Mind you i find that he makes lots of enemies at first, once he gets a reality check he tends to be much more negotiable and charismatic. Also the way he talks with such a matter of fact tone nearly convinced me that whatever he was doing was fine and totally not illegal.

I - 4 well educated, and witty i think hans would have a decent amount of intelligence. He is obviously no rocket scientist, nor do i think he would be a drug dealer

A - 4 have you seen this man dodge, yes he's got hit plenty of times, but when he does dodge it's so smooth. Also I think he is very sneaky.

L - 3 Audentes Fortuna Iuvat, Hans' favourite saying. Sure he's been lucky, but almost every situation he has been in has turned to shit. but he has still persevered and continued living through that standard. Despite the misfortune he has still been brave and found fortune in that.

This took 11 hours but i love these silly bi men. Just two dudes running around the wasteland, almost dying and kissing

Also as a small bonus i did mutt as dog meat
