Tip for those worshiping/working with Apollo:
Try using compliments that don’t refer to his physical appearance. Talk about his intelligence, his creativity, his reliability, his big heart, his generosity, his talents and skills, his love, his honesty, his teachings, how honorable he is, the growth he had through his mythology, his passion for humanity, the romance that lives within him, the order/structure he brings, his aid/guidance through divination, the love he has for his mother and sister, the bonds he has formed with his siblings. He is so much more than a pretty face and in my experience he appreciates when that is acknowledged.

So Apollo and I had a mutual epiphany 🌻
It was the weirdest thing and we both find it so funny.
So when I was little I hated crows. I was so scared of them, only because they never left me tf alone. They constantly swooped at me, pecked at my bedroom window, were always around when I played out in the yard. I just couldn't shake them and they freaked me out.
As I grew up I got over it and just generally accepted their presence. When I became a Hellenist I was instantly drawn to Apollo and he's been nothing but wonderful to work with. Recently, I walked outside to enjoy the morning sun and there was a crow sitting on my fence and knowing they're a patron animal of Apollo I went over to say hi. It didn't even flinch when I approached it.
As I stood there with it, I thought, 'Man, I can't believe I used to be scared of these guys.'
And Apollo was like, 'Wait, what?' (I'm clairaudient so conversations with my deities come naturally).
And I said, 'Yeah when I was a kid they never left me alone and it scared me.'
Instantly I could feel him start to feel guilty like, 'No no no! That was not the point!!'
Turns out crows are drawn to me for a reason and he never meant to scare me with them 😂☀🌻

yes yes! Ok! my first few signs from Apollo were really subtle. The sun would get in my eyes a LOT. I started being obsessed with crows and ravens (ive always liked those birds and i hyperfixate a lot on weird things so at first i didnt think anything of it.) It wasnt until I was gathering things to set up Dionysus's altar that he made it very clear that he was there. I believe that he did so so that I would make him an altar too and he wouldn't get left out. Which I did :)
I give him feathers, a LOT. I live on a farm where we mainly raise free range birds so Im always finding cool feathers all over the place. Sometimes I do buy rlly cool feathers tho (I have these black feathers with gold tips and they're SO pretty) I also give him citrine, which is my most common crystal offering to him. I have one piece of sunstone that I gave him, which he LOVES. I highly recommend. Honestly I give him any yellow or orange stone I find, even if i dont know what it is. Clear Quartz is another great one for him. Gold jewelry. I gave him a gold ring with a yellow topaz and a gold bracelet in the shape of an arrow. I also gave him a polaroid of a raven. He's huge with bird imagery, apples!!! (dude LOVES his apples!), yellow flowers (especially sunflowers), you can even offer up things like tarot decks and pendulums.
However! In my experience I have found him to be much more fond of devotional acts! Sing, draw, write music or poems, dance, learn archery, read about him and his mythology and holidays, read about Artemis, read about his lovers (he's a huge romantic and will love it if you honor his lovers by reading their stories), take care of yourself, wake up a bit earlier, watch the sunrise, eat, shower, just overall making sure you have healthier habits will make him SO happy, if feeding birds or even raising your own bird is an option: he'll love that as well. Doesn't even have to be a bird tbh. Taking care of yourself and taking care of animals. Just sitting at your altar and talking to him and telling him stories will be one of the best things you can do with him.
In terms of response and communication, I've found him to be a little less direct than Dionysus for example. Now that may just be because my relationship with Apollo isn't as strong as with Dionysus, or that may be a difference in their personality and behavior. For example, when Dionysus first presented himself to me in a dream he did so almost completely (the only thing I couldnt see was his face, and then the next night I could see his face) but with Apollo he presented himself as a talking raven so it took me much longer to realize it was him. Sometimes he wont clearly respond to an offering or directly speak to me, but I can feel he's there, ya know? Sometimes it's subtle things like the intensity of the sunlight shining in my room, the warmth in my room (my house doesnt have heat so thats a really easy indicator for me), your own body temperature. I've found Apollo to communicate a lot through feelings, sometimes I wont get any words but just a warm, fuzzy, soothing, happy, almost healing feeling.
Like someone else in the notes already said: Sometimes he dips! He'll just- leave! Usually with no explanation! I imagine he's a very busy god and is all over the place. But he does come back! He loves to check in and make sure you're still ok, so take care of yourself even when he's not around to ask you to do so. He is very kind and loving but he WILL call you out on things so be ready for that.
i started worshipping apollo a few months ago but i haven't gotten any signs from him. i wanna be more devoted to this worship and i would really appriciate tips from other apollo devotees. what are your offerings? what do you do to worship apollo? how does he reply? i wanna know how the whole thing works, you know? thanks
#AH IM SORRY THIS WAS SO MUCH OH MY GODS YOU GAVE ME THE BALL AND I RAN WITH IT#I love talking about this stuff as you can see so if you have any other questions feel free to ask please
