sudden questions upon meeting a stranger was the most odd thing ever. but then again. a lot of people were odd, weren't they? starrk didn't react outwardly to what was asked of him. simply opting to stare for a moment or two. maybe even more. as though deliberately trying to create discomfort with his silence and lack of reaction. but when he was just simply mulling what was being asked of him. and he realised he had no answer. because he did not know if he felt human. even if he looked human. what did feeling human feel like? with a shrug being his only form of movement offered finally. he let out a low, quiet exhale. ' why do you ask? '

"Ah-" The seconds run a little too long "- It is rude, isn't it. Sorry!" Hisaka's grin is sheepish as he runs a hand through his hair, nails scratching at the back of his scalp. However he doesn't retract his question.

Oh! Well. "There is another arrancar who makes himself... comfortable? Around my barracks quite frequently..." He'd been getting rather close with a more than a few people that Hisaka would consider his friends. Kisuke and Kensei most noticeably. Hisaka hasn't really met him or interacted with him at all except in small bursts when the arrancar had been forced into close quarters alongside him, but he's heard about him thorough others. "Um, his name is Grimmjow. Bright blue hair and a big jaw mask? Do you know him?"

Originally his captain had described the arrancar more like an animal than like a person. Angry, volatile, and instinct motivated, but with time, those descriptors have shifted. Hisaka, personally, thinks he is in no position judge (and quite frankly he thinks it inappropriate for his Captain to either), but it has made him curious.

"I'm a hybrid too. Like you and like Grimmjow. I supposed I'm just... I dunno, trying to figure out where we all fit in this new era. You didn't look like you'd be anti conversation."
