Kinda like an apple. Though I am on the road of healing. I will learn to love myself because I must. I am of value. I am wonderful. I am loved and cared for. I will accept my flaws and strengths. I will love myself or I will die trying.

It’s been a while, but a remarkable thing happened.
We’ve lent our hand out to become part of our family.
She lent out her hand.
She sees my partner as worth it.
Worth my time.
Worth hers.
I’ve never seen her be so compassionate and open with any of my partners before.
Setting boundaries and confronting people is always a tough time but he took it with ease.
He listened.
He thought it through.
He took our words with an open heart.
I never thought I’d see the day.
Where our family gets bigger.

I’ve found I no longer have to fight tooth and nail in order to validate it’s okay for me to take up space. I no longer have to hide myself or who I’m supposed to be in order to please someone who is weaker then me. No more fights about it. No more being talked down too. Or lied too. My body is mine. Not for anyone’s for the taking. I exist because I’m allowed too. I deserve to be here. I will take up space.
