I refuse to stay silent on this, but I also want my blog to be safe, so I'm going to touch on this once and then not again. You can be assured that I won't post any more news on this topic.

The news about Elliot Gindi has broken my heart. He's a phenomenal actor, and it's absolutely disgusting that he used his fame and power to pressure and abuse others. I applaud the victims and witnesses for their bravery to speak out-- as a survivor of teenage sexual assault now in adulthood, I know firsthand how impossible it feels to. Despite choosing not to post about this topic more than this, I want you all to know that I support the victims.

A lot of fans are feeling betrayed, and validly so. Whatever you feel in light of the news is understandable. Some writers and artists will likely be taking a step back for a time-- myself included-- to process the information and regain confidence and writing or drawing Tighnari. That's okay. It doesn't make you weak or stupid for needing time. If you feel otherwise, that's okay too. It doesn't mean you don't support the victims, or that you're a bad person.

There is no shame in your response, and you don't owe anybody an explanation or your story.
