Y/N wakes up for the day the next morning around 11:30. The sun isn’t shining on her face today, though. The sound of hard pouring rain crashes down onto her window, waking her up. The sky is cloudier than usual. It’s a dark gray and the fog from the bay covers the ground. She leans over to look outside her window. No one is outside. The rain is so heavy, streams are being formed along the sides of the roads. The smell of the rain can be smelled through her window, filling her room with a musky and fresh scent. Oddly, she loves it.  Y/N thinks the rain is beautiful. She rolls back over to her nightstand to grab her phone. She slides over to the camera and takes a few pictures of the rainy city outside her apartment. She then checks her notifications. She has a few texts from Jisung.

“Ur welcome! I’m sorry I didn’t respond right away. I was super tired and wanted to get home and I crashed on the couch. I just woke back up.” (sent 12:30 am)

“Also, just if your thinking, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable if I did, I was just overthinking and freaked out a little bit” (sent 1:00 am)

“Ok I’m really going to bed, goodnight, I'll talk to you in the morning” (sent 1:30 am)

Y/N reads the messages confused. She wonders why he was up so late and texting her. She hesitates to respond, she doesn’t know what to say. After a while, she responds. 

“Hi! I’m sorry you didn’t get much sleep, it’s raining today, so there's not much to do today, what are you doing?”

She sits up and goes to make breakfast. After she grabs her toast and coffee, she goes to her couch and turns on the TV. A few episodes into her favorite show, her phone dings.

“Hey, yea sorry I didn’t get much sleep last night, I don’t know why. Well today is Sunday so we have today off, so nothing really, you?”

Y/N jumps up in excitement. She smiles at his text, she's so happy he responded. 

“I’m not doing anything! Since you know where I live now, wanna come over for some popcorn and a movie?” Y/N texts him back, hoping he’ll respond positively.

“Yea sure! What time?” He responds quickly.

The clock reads 12:00, Y/N does her calculations on how long it will take for her to get ready for him to come over. She decides on 2:30. 

“Does 2:30 work?” 

“Yep! See you then”

Y/N shoots out of her couch and into the bathroom to shower. She takes a quick one, not washing her hair because she washed it the day before. She throws it into a quick messy bun and applies light, basic makeup. She throws on a big tee shirt and black shorts so she can be comfortable. She brings in Christmas lights into the living room and a bunch of blankets to make it super comfy. She heats up some popcorn, and only a few seconds later, she hears a knock at her door. She brushes down her shirt and fixes herself to open the door. She opens the door to see Jisung standing there. He’s holding a huge bag of those hershey's assorted chocolate bars. His dark brown hair is damp and falling over his eyes. His clothes are kind of wet from the walk into the building. Before walking in, he looks Y/N up and down. His eyes are locked onto her, making her blush. 

“Hi Jisung!” She says with a sweet smile.

“H-hey..” He responds, still staring at her.

Y/N rushes him inside so he isn’t just standing out in the hallway. 

“I’m guessing you like chocolate?” She asks.

“Heh, yea I do, I think it would be a good snack for us to share.” He responds. 

She takes them from him and puts them onto the counter. She shows him the comfy fort she made for them and brings over the snacks. 

“What do you want to watch?” She asks.

“Have you heard of (movie of your choice)?? I think it’s really good.” He says.

“No I haven’t! We should totally watch it! Plus, it’s super long so we can watch it for a while.” She pulls up the movie and presses play. They start the movie sitting on either side of the couch. They share a big bowl of popcorn and several snacks between each other. 

A little ways through the movie, they both reach for the popcorn at the same time. But instead of pulling their hands away, they stay there. 

“Oops haha, go ahead take some.” She says.

“Thanks, also, why are you all the way over there? Come over here.” He waves his hand towards him.

Y/N scoots over towards him and he puts his arm around her. She snuggles up closer to him. They get closer and closer to each other as the movie goes along, becoming more comfortable with each other. Eventually the movie comes to an end. The snacks are almost all gone. 

“Awe, does this mean you have to go?” Y/N asks Jisung.

“No.. not necessarily.” He looks down at her and smiles. 

They both look each other in the eye and slowly move closer into each other. Suddenly, their lips meet. His soft, warm lips carrsess Y/N’s. He puts his hand on the side of her face, making the kiss deeper. After a few seconds, they pull away from each other. 

“I’ve wanted to do that since I met you, Y/N” He tells her. 

“Hehe, me too”

They look each other deep in the eye. Y/N smiles and gives him another kiss on the cheek, he blushes and giggles back. He gets up and says

“But seriously it’s like 5:30 now, that movie was so long, I should probably get going..” He stutters.

“Awe okay, do you really have to go?” Y/N asks.

“I do, I have rehearsal early in the morning and I need to pack and I need to talk to the band and-” Y/N cuts him off

“Jisung, it's okay! You can go! You don’t need to make up excuses!”

“Okay, I’m sorry Y/N I just really have to go. I don't want to go but I have to.” 

“I know I know!! Just gooo!!” She says.

She walks him up to the door and opens it for him. She looks up into his beautiful brown eyes and gives him a hug. They hold that for a while until she backs away.

“I’ll text you later! Be safe!”

“Thank you! Text you!”

He leaves and she closes the door behind her, she is really falling for him faster that she thought she could.

Y/N and Jisung walk into the small sandwich shop. The store is full of people. From the kitchen, you can see smoke and steam coming from the back. The store is humid and loud. Bells are ringing telling people food is ready. People are speaking loudly across tables from how loud it is. The shop smells like grease and condiments.

“Are you sure you wanna eat here?” Y/N asks Jisung

“I mean, not really. It’s kinda gross.. Do you?”

“Mm, no. What else is around here?”

“There’s not a lot, but I know where a really nice Italian restaurant is.”

“Oh Jisung, I don’t need something fancy! I promise.”

“No, it's fine! Cmon I’ll take you there. “

They walk out of the store and head back over to the park. Jisung parked his car on the other side of the road from where they were. The streets are busy and crowded. Jisung presses the cross button on the traffic light, and a few seconds later it changes and allows them to go. Jisung walks fast ahead of Y/N. Y/N tries to speed up next to him, but she ends up grabbing his arm to pull herself closer. He looks down at her, smiles and giggles. He puts his arm around her shoulders and brings her close when they get to the other side of the road. 

“Was I walking too fast for you?” He asks jokingly

“Haha, no not normally, these shoes just suck to walk in.” She responds rolling her eyes, trying to hide her rosy cheeks. 

They walk over to his car. Jisung pulls out his keys and unlocks the door. They both get in and he starts the car. They start to head over to the restaurant.

“I’ve heard this place is super cool, it has super good food too.” Jisung says.

“Good! I can’t wait, is it far?”

“Kind of, but I don’t mind. Wanna listen to some music?”

“Sure!”

Jisung leans over into the middle to turn on the radio. The song “bad” by wave to earth starts playing. They both blush up and giggle about the romantic song. They bring up small talk all the way over there. Soon enough they make it to the restaurant at around 3:00. 

He parks his car and gets out of the car fast. He heads over to Y/N’s side of the door and opens it for her. The light peers through the open door shining onto her body. Jisung looks at her in awe. He holds out his hand for her. She grabs it and gets out of the car. They look at each other and smile. They started walking over to a tiny restaurant with vines hanging over the doorway. The building is small and made of old brick, it looks like it has been there forever. The smell of spices and slight smoke from the oven. The light peered through the leaves and shined onto them walking into the building.

“Just a table for two, please.” Jisung tells the waitress. 

“Right this way sir.”

The waitress led them to a small table with two chairs. Jisung pulled out a chair for Y/N. The waitress gave them two menus and poured them water. They both started to look over the menu.

The waitress comes back to ask for drinks.

“What drinks can I get for you guys today?” She asks

“Can I have just water please?” Asks Y/N

“Yea and can I have a Dr Pepper?”

“Sure thing!” The waitress writes down their orders and heads to the back.

“Dr Pepper? In this fancy restaurant? You're so funny.” Y/N says with a giggle.

“Yea! I love it! What do you think you’re gonna get?” Jisung asks

“I’m thinking of the fettuccine alfredo, but it’s such a big serving I don’t think I can finish it all.”

“I can share it with you if you’d like! I was thinking of getting that too.” Jisung says with a sweet inviting smile. 

“That would be awesome! Gosh we just have so much in common.” Y/N replies with a giggle. 

The waitress comes back with their drinks and they order their food. While waiting for their food, they start comparing things they like and don’t like with each other. Y/N puts her elbow onto the table and leans her head into her hand, admiring the handsome boy in front of her. Her other hand is laying down on the table. Jisung notices and puts his hand onto hers. She looks down and smiles. Her whole face turns red. She looks up at him looking at her. His big brown eyes are shining from the light. They stare at each other only for a few seconds before the waitress comes back with the plate. They quickly pull away from each other. They start to split the pasta evenly between them. 

‘“Oh my gosh this looks so fucking good” Jisung says.

“Haha yea, it does.” Y/N replies.

They both start to eat and continue eating and talking to each other. They have both become so comfortable with each other so quickly. They finish their dinner and Jisung calls for the check. The waitress comes back with it.

“Are you sure you can pay? We can split it if you want!” Y/N asks.

“No, no. Y/N please it’s okay! I want to pay for this, it was really nice.”

She jokingly rolls her eyes and giggles at him. She’s so amused by him. He gives the check back to the waitress for her to go pay. She comes back quickly and they get ready to leave. 

They walk back out the car. The sun is slowly setting and it’s golden hour. The clock reads 6:00. He opens the car door for her again. She giggles and gets in. They drive home, listening to music on the radio, talking about each song that comes on. He seems to know a lot about music, which impresses her. They get back into the city and she directs him back to the front of her apartment building. They get there at around 7:00.

“Alright, this is my place, thank you for the ride!” Y/N says.

“Wait-” Jisung interrupts. 

He runs to grab her arm from the back to stop her. 

“I wanna walk you up, I think it’s important I do.” 

She smiles and nods her head in agreement. They walk up.

“Okay, this is my apartment, 5B.” 

“Cool, now I know where you live so I can stalk you!!” He says while they both giggle at the joke. Jisung grabs both her hands and looks down at her. They both stare into each other's eyes. He glances down at her lips and leans in a little bit. He stops himself quickly, making sure not to move too fast. She looked at him confused, she thought he was going to kiss her. She wanted it, after all.

“I should uhh, get going, let you get ready for the night.”

“Thank you for a wonderful dinner, Jisung.” She says with a sweet smile.

“Anytime, really. Okay, I’ll talk to you later?”

“Yea, I’ll see you later.” 

They give each other a small hug and he walks away. She opens her apartment door. She can’t stop smiling. She really has fallen for this boy. All she can think about is being with him and spending more of her free time with him. She makes her feel so special and they hardly know each other. She gets undressed and takes a quick shower washing the day off of her. The entire time she is in the shower, she hopes Jisung will send her a text back. When she gets out and wraps a towel around herself, she looks at her phone to see no message from him.

“Maybe he’s just driving home, I hope I didn’t make him uncomfortable.” She thinks to herself. She gets into her night clothes and gets into bed.

“Again, thank you so much for a wonderful day and an awesome dinner, goodnight :)” She texts him.

She puts her phone down and settles down for bed.

Y/N wakes up around 9:00 am the next morning, as she had no work in the morning. Her curtains were slightly open and a small beam of sunlight peers through the crack onto her face, waking her up. She stretches with a big yawn and her arms above her head and pointing her feet as far as they can go. Y/N rolls over to her side facing her bedside table. She picks up her phone and starts checking notifications. She sees one from Jisung. Y/N’s face lights up with joy from remembering the sweet boy she had met. The message reads…

“Hey! I’m not sure if you’re still sleeping yet but, wanna hang out again soon? You seem like a really cool person and I want to get to know you better :)” Sent 7:39am

Y/N jitters in excitement. She’s so happy he’s also interested in her, though she doesn't know if it's the same way or not. She’s not too sure herself if that’s how she feels about him either. She only met him the day before, but she wants to know where this will lead. 

“Hi! Yeah uhh, I just woke up haha. I don’t work on the weekends bc the store isn’t open. We can totally hangout! When are you available?” She replies back to him.

Waiting for a response, Y/N pulls herself out of her bed and heads into her tiny kitchen. She pulls out the bread from her pantry and takes out two slices and puts them into the toaster. She gives the toaster a couple hits to get it to start working. Her parents gave it to her when she moved out. She then makes her way over to her coffee machine and pops in a coffee capsule and starts her coffee. Y/N leans up against the counter, waking herself up. She gets startled by the pop of the toast coming out of the toaster. She grabs a clean plate out of the dishwasher and puts the toast onto the plate. She grabs butter out of the fridge and starts spreading it around the freshly toasted bread. She then grabs her coffee cup from the machine, puts some creamer into it and heads onto the couch to eat breakfast. As soon as she sits down, Jisung sends her a text back.

“Ahah no problem, I have to go to rehearsal today at 11 and it ends 30 min later, it’s not a super important one so it’s short. I can do anything after that though!”

“Oh cool! I’m down to hangout then, what do you want to do?”

“Uhhhhhhhh, we can go to the park downtown if you’d like?”

“Oh sure! That sounds fun, see you at 12.?”

“Yea that works! See you then :)”

Y/N gets butterflies in her stomach. She barely even knows him but wants to spend all her time with him already.

Soon enough, 11:00 rolls around. She gets up off the couch and puts her dirty dishes away. She heads to the bathroom and starts the shower. Y/N takes a long shower, making sure she is ready to meet him. She gets out and starts to dry her beautiful (Y/H). After she blows out her hair, she applies a little bit of makeup, not a lot, he wants a light coverage, only to accentuate her features. Y/N goes into her bedroom and chooses an outfit, she wants to look as flattering as possible.

She chooses a white, knee length, flowy summer dress with lavender colored flowers on it. She pairs it with a pair of sunglasses on her head, a simple gold necklace with matching earrings. She’s also wearing matching bracelets and anklets. Her anklets go perfectly with her tan sandals. She just got both sets of nails done for summer, and wants to show off what a beautiful job the nail tech did. She sprays on expensive perfume and grabs her bag. The clock reads 11:45. She shoots Jisung a quick text.

“I’m leaving my apartment now, see you soon!” 

Y/N grabs her keys and heads out the door, making sure to lock it behind her. She walks down the busy street of San Francisco enjoying the sun shining down on her. She finally makes it over to the park at 11:57. She looks at her phone to see a text from Jisung.

“Hey I’m here, I’m sitting at a bench at the left of the huge fountain.”

Y/N gets a huge smile on her face and texts back.

“Coming!!”

She hustles over there and looks around for him. She finally lays her eyes on him. His legs are crossed and his left elbow is on his leg with his hand holding his head up. His hair falls over his eyes, but she knows it’s him just by his stature. She runs over to him.

“Hi Jisung!” She says looking down to him waving.

He looks up from his phone confused, but once he realizes it’s her, he smiles and stands up.

“Hey Y/N, how are you?” He asks.

“I’m good, you?”

“I’m great! It’s really nice to see you again I uh- you look really great.” He says with a smile and faint blushing that Y/N notices.

“Hehe, thank you! You look great too.”

“Heh.. wanna walk around the park for a little bit?” He asks 

Y/N agrees and they start taking the path around. It’s a little awkward at first but Jisung speaks up

“Soo.. what did you have for breakfast haha”

“I had coffee and some toast with butter as usual, nothing special, you?”

“I had tea and a protein bar, not super exciting, but I did wake up late to get ready so I didn’t have much time to make food.”

They giggle and continue walking. As they walk they talk about random memories and funny stories they have that they think would entertain each other. They find a seat under a large tree creating shade. They continue talking and laughing. Before they know it, they both start getting hungry. Y/N looks at her phone for the time

“Oh boy, it’s 2:00 already! Ughh I’m kinda hungry too..”

“Me too! Want to go get something to eat?” Jisung asks politely. 

“I’d love to! I just.. I really don’t have the money for that.”

“Huh? That’s okay! I can pay for you!”

“What? No Jisung that’s too much really, I don’t need you to do that.”

“No really it’s okay! It’s my treat to you for spending time with me!’

Y/N reluctantly agrees and they head to a sandwich shop down the road from the park. Suddenly, Jisung stops and kneels to the ground. He stands back up with a flower in his hand.

“Y/N look! I found a flower that looks just like the ones on your dress, see?”

She turns around and puts her hand on her chest. She blushes and giggles.

“Oh yea! You’re right!” 

“Here-”

He walks over to Y/N and brushes her hair behind one of her ears and puts the flower behind it.

“It fits your outfit perfectly! I’m so good at this kinda stuff obviously!” He laughs and puts his hands on his hips proudly.

Y/N is shocked and amused. She is really falling for this boy. She looks into his glistening brown eyes and smiles.

“It really does, thank you.” She gives him a sweet smile and he gives her one back. They both start walking towards the sandwich shop again.

Y/N POV: 

Oh my gosh.. He’s so sweet! He makes me feel so special! Ugh I just can’t wait to get to know him better..

They make it to the entrance of the sandwich shop and walk in.

The story is set in San Francisco, California. The drive to the bay is only about 40 minutes away from a dimmer, cheaper run-down part of the city. Jisung is a lead singer of a local band and the reader(female) runs into him while getting coffee..

On a calmer Friday morning, around 7:30 am, Y/N walks into the shop to buy a coffee before her work day begins. On the corner of her street, there's a small coffee shop. The shop has a rustic feel. Plants cover the walls and some even hang all the way to the ground. Most of the seating is small couches, only a few chairs which surround a small table that only seems to fit a book and a drink. The shop is constantly busy. The store smells of fresh ground coffee and pastries. The chatting of people fills the room and the energy is always high.

She waits in the long line looking up onto the wall behind the counter looking at the menu deciding what she would like. As soon as the people ahead of her order their drinks, she steps up to the register. 

“Hi! Can I please get a medium iced-americano?” Y/N asks the woman at the counter.

“Yea of course! Can I get a name with the order?” She asks and Y/N responds with her name.

“Okay, the total is $4.25, it will be up shortly.” Y/N pays and thanks the worker.

Y/N takes a seat by the other side of the counter where the drinks are given out. She sits by a window, looking out into the busy streets watching people walk by. She pulls out her phone and starts to scroll through Instagram to kill time while she’s waiting for drinks. The woman who checked her out beforehand calls out:

“A medium iced-americano?” 

Y/N stands up excitingly to go and grab her coffee so she can start her day. When she reaches down to grab her drink, another hand falls onto hers. They both pull away from the cup quickly. Y/N looks up to the man standing next to her. He is just a little bit taller than her. He has thick, fluffy brown hair. His eyes are still looking at the cup, but after a few seconds he looks over at her. His dark brown eyes shimmer from the light coming in from the window. Y/N stares into them for a few seconds before shaking her head to look away.

“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry I- I thought this was for me, I’m sorry for running into you!” Y/N tells the handsome man next to her.

“Huh? No haha, you’re fine! Here let's look at the name on the drink” He picks up the cup and turns it around until he can see the name. The name on the cup reads “Jisung”. 

“Oh haha, it is mine! Did you really order the same thing? Not many people I know like iced-americano!.” He asks Y/N with a small gentle smile across his face.

“Oh yea! I love it! It just reminds me of the winter time and I think it tastes pretty good.” She lets out a little giggle while looking down at her feet, blushing.

The worker calls out the same order and she grabs the cup from the counter. Jisung was able to get a look at what name was on the cup.

“Y/N, huh, that's a really pretty name.” Y/N looks up at him, blushing even more now with a smile on her face.

“Awe, thanks! What’s your name?” She asks.

“Jisung.” He answers her.

“Nice! I like that name uh.it’s a..good name..?” Y/N looks at the ground, trying not to embarrass herself. Jisung lets out a little giggle. A few seconds of awkward silence goes by before Jisung asks

“Hey, wanna go sit over there and chat a little bit? If you have the time, of course.” 

He points to a small table towards the back of the restaurant with two chairs facing each other. Y/N nods her head in agreement. Her shift starts at 9:00, and she only worked a couple stores down at a small clothing boutique. He starts to head over and she follows right behind him. They sit down and both take sips of their drinks. They sit and talk to each other for a while, familiarizing themselves with each other. They both giggle at each other's jokes. It seems like they have known eachother forever even though they had just met a few minutes ago. Time flies by and Y/N looks at her phone, checking the time. 

‘Oh no, oh god I’m going to be late to work, it was really nice meeting you! I’m sorry I have to leave so abruptly.” She says in a panic.

She stands up grabbing her things and almost empty coffee cup and starts heading towards the door. A hand grabs her shoulder from behind and turns her around.

“Hey, no worries, do you want to exchange numbers?” Y/N is shocked by his question. She didn’t think he liked her enough to ask for a phone number. 

“Oh yea! Sure! It’s ***-***-****.” She responds.

He puts her number into his phone and texts her a quick “its jisung :)” so she can save his number as well. They wave goodbye to each other and she darts out of the door down to her small store. When she walks into the store, she throws her now empty coffee cup into the trash can by the door and heads to the back of the store to put her stuff away. The manager gives her a snarly look as she's heading up to the register. 

Her work day goes by and she just can’t stop thinking about Jisung. She wanted to text him back so badly but she knows that she will get in trouble with the manager if he catches her on her phone. Y/N stares at the clock, watching the minutes go by slowly. Once the clock hits 5:00 pm, she runs into the back to grab her stuff and leaves the store to go back to her apartment. 

She gets up to her apartment door, stumbling around for her keys. She is just so excited to text Jisung and get to talk to him again. She throws her things onto the table next to the door and jumps onto the couch and pulls out her phone. She adds him as a contact in her phone and texts him back. 

“Hi! I’m so sorry it took me so long to respond, I was working and I’ll get murdered if I get caught with my phone at work ahah.”

Not even a minute later, he responds back to her.

“No problem! I get how that is, how was work?”

“Eh, boring, not many people came into the store and so we were left cleaning and doing side work all day. Also I never asked, "what do you do for work?”

“Dang I’m sorry, that sounds like it’s suuuper boring. I’m a lead singer for a band :)”

Y/N reads the message in shock, she didn’t expect that from him.

“Really?! That’s so cool! What band?”

“Oh, just a small band. We are not super popular so not many people know about us. We just perform at small battle of the bands and what not”

“Oh! That's so cool!!”

“Oh aha yea, I guess..I also play the guitar 😎”

“Woah, a lead singer AND a guitarist?? Into me?? That’s wild..” Y/N thinks to herself. 

They talk for a while about random things they both enjoy. They seem to have a lot in common.

“Oh my gosh, it’s already 10:00?? I have to go to bed, I need to catch up on sleep.” Y/N texts Jisung.

“Oh yea, damn. It was nice talking to you though! I’ll talk to you tomorrow?” Jisung replies.

“Sure! Ttyl!”

“Ttyl!”

Y/N plugs in her phone and turns off her lights. She snuggles up to her pillows and drifts off to sleep thinking about the super sweet and cute boy she had met today. She wonders if this will go anywhere other than just a friendship..
