things some people don't understand about depression

i am not just lazy. i am not motivated to do stuff in general. it's not that i'm too lazy to clean my room. even the minimum physical effort is sometimes too much to handle

i don't talk much not because i don't like the person i'm talking to. it's that i hate my voice, i hate myself, i am not funny, i am not interesting, so i just can't talk to you because i feel like i am a waste of your time

sometimes a depressed person can laugh. they can smile, seem ok. but it's just because they are with people that make them feel good or they are faking it

we complain a lot. we want to change things in out lives but we just don't have the energy to do that

not every depressed person self harms

even the smallest thing can influence our mood in a negative way

some people care a lot about stuff, some don't feel deep emotions. everyone's different and valid

it doesn't mean that i'm not sad if i don't cry. i can be sad and not cry too. some people expres emotion in other ways

A perfect broken home

Have you’ve ever seen such a perfect family? Even one that you know. Everything is all smiles, and jokes, and I love you’s…but Did you know just last night, mom was being beaten up in the other room, and dad was drunk? But of course all her bruises are under that perfectly ironed long dress and Cardigan. Did you hear them screaming? The glass shattering, the walls braking and sound of dads fist hitting his daughters rib cage. The sound of mom begging dad not to dig the knife into their sons throat, as he threatens to take everything she loves. Do you hear the daughters soft cries at night? To afraid to cry out load, because dad might hear and give her something to cry about, even tho he’s the reason behind her pain. Have u ever seen the most clean and nicest family home. Were you aware that the perfect family picture hanging above couch was knocked down a lot because of all the times dad threw someone against the wall. And when u asked about the hole in the sons bedroom door, everyone said that “fun rough housing” gone to far. So now you don’t know that dad kicked in his door, and violently punched and threw him around, for getting a call from his teacher, saying he’s unfocused and failing in school. And that blood stain on the carpet? No it wasn’t ketchup that spilled all over the ground. It’s mom blood, from that time dad attacked her with a hammer, because she got caught packing a small bag of clothes. In the hopes of leaving him. There you see, the daughters broken mirror still hanging on the wall. She told you it accidentally fell and she didn’t get around to throwing it out. But I guess you didn’t know that dad bashed her head into it several times, but an hour ago, because she ran away from home. You don’t see these images in your head. All you see is a perfect little family. All you see is a nice clean house Totally unaware that it’s far from prefect. This is a broken home.
