Hey Aquabuggy! I spotted a similar product on a HomeGoods video and found this one via Cracker Barrel. Thought of your blog!

Been toying around with the thought of re-working the aesthetic’s name slightly. Reason being that ā€œAquaā€ is quite vague, even if it is the term I grew up with, and while sticking ā€œ-coreā€ at the end helps a bit, the suffix is admittedly a bit overused in this day and age, and it still is just a bit vague for my tastes.
I’ve been humoring the thought of ā€œCapsule Aquaā€ or something along those lines, because it clarifies the encapsulation of the liquid being a vital part of the aesthetic. And ā€œEnclosed Aquaā€ and ā€œEncased Aquaā€ just don’t really sound right imo.
I’m still undecided on changing though, haven’t had enough time to really ruminate on it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

It’s not even the reposting that I mind, I’m fine with that as long as you credit me, but it’s the matter of crediting me correctly that I’d like to gently request.
I love seeing the boards people create that include stuff from me, it’s a high compliment! But it really helps for proper sources to be included, as I’ve stumbled upon people asking questions in the comments of those pins that I could’ve answered months ago if it linked back to me right.
Heck, I’ve even seen comments turned off for some of these pins? What HAPPENED there

And look I get it right, manufacturing costs, custom design costs, minimum order quantity costs, shipping costs, etc, it adds up! I get it.
But the average person interested in this niche, from my experience, is typically not going to spend that much. Hell, I’ve seen plenty of people call $40 reproductions expensive.
There will always be the insane people, like myself, who will consider it. But my god. I don’t think even I can allow myself to drop $800+ on 4 computer mouses.
Man I’m happy to see liquid computer mouses become more accessible by getting pushed back into production by small companies as much as the next guy
-but charging $200 USD is reallyyyy starting to push it I think

When there IS new stuff made though, it rules. This post may or may not be inspired by Skeuoss.net having items I’ve both seen very little of and have never seen before now, but being SOLD OUT and seemingly not going to restock them :[

The doohickeys continue to evade my grasp….
They also have a bunch of well priced modern made Water Mouse listings, also all sold out, sadly. BUT! This time there is an option to be notified of a restock, so it’s very possible they may return soon.

Seems I need to frequent the Frutiger Aero circles more often…
Having a semi-niche object/aesthetic based interest is so funny. You’ll get into it when it’s pretty much just you and 10 other freaks and you’ll usually pretty easily find affordable stuff online to add to your collection, but the harder to find stuff is often largely lost to time.
But then the interest suddenly gets more attention and the harder to find stuff suddenly pops up as well as things you’ve never seen before, but now it’s gone in an instant, and much of the more accessible stuff starts becoming less common and more expensive. But it’ll still be juuuuust niche enough that there’s not enough interest to convince manufacturers to like, take advantage of it and make new stuff. And then after a few months to a year it dies out and goes back to normal. It’s a weird, weird balance.
Anyways shout out to the rise of Frutiger Aero and its sub-genre HelveticaAqua. I’m glad we’re holding hands.
