It breaks my heart that people think they can use animals as if they are objects, for our own personal entertainment value – but this is a big part of cultures around the world. electric prods, spurs, and bucking straps are used to irritate and enrage animals in rodeos. I am from Texas and I know a lot of people don’t take the time to think about whether this is right because it is such a big part of their life. But just because something is normal doesn’t make it right. Maybe one day this will change, as our generation is questions the status quo and works hard to show why it is good, not only for the animals but also for us, to express love for all creatures.
