You are the Black Rook.

As a piece that can move inwards and outwards, you're a master of self-reflection. Being the black piece, you hide an inner beast within you. Perhaps you're one to rush headfirst into trouble, was it for a friend's sake? Or your own? Are you the overprotective type? Did you know your grip was that tight around someone's neck? For all your protectiveness and deliberate planning, you can't wash the blood off your hands that easily.

“Your Numel does look rather uncomfortable. I’d say that’s what she gets for associatin’ with ya, but that’d be a bit too cruel of me.”

He sighs, focusing back on the topic at hand.

“Do ya really think I have the time or patience to take a shower?”

If Maxie could smell fish before, he could definitely smell whatever Archie's scent was now, since he's uncomfortably close and leaning against him.

"Since when do ya care what I smell like, huh?" He chuckles. "Here I thought 'The Great Maxie' would've said somethin' more mature t'insult me about."

The tip, nice and sharp, gets a bit too close to that one. He doesn’t think he even cares to account for how badly his hands are rattling against the hilt.

“I hate this. I fucking hate this. I’m the only goddamn sane man in the multiverse and I’ve got half a mind to start thinning numbers. Or are you lot like a hydra, prone to growing back in duplicates?”

“Aye, look on the bright side, there’s probably just as many of you out there.” He backs away from Maxie, giving a sigh. “Like it or not, we’re pretty much a two-in-one kinda deal.”

And so Archie goes back to grinning like an idiot. “Yer just as insufferable as my universe’s Maxie, if that means anything.”

Occasionally, yes, and they're usually pretty violent. He's even had the thought that flooding the world wouldn't have even that bad, and perhaps doing everyone a favor by drowning them all.

Ah, a true Pokemon advocate. Archie settled right down when he saw that it wasn’t a human trying to be a pickpocket.

Grimmsnarl couldn’t help its gnarly smirk at the thought. There was little difference between a human pickpocket and a Pokemon pickpocket–! Perhaps this fool was under the impression Pokemon couldn’t be assholes?

Truthfully, the chain caught the fairy’s eye because it was shiny. It was completely ignorant to what a keystone was.

It smacked back at Archie’s hand after staring for a moment.

On a physical level, he could handle a smack to the hand pretty well. On an emotional level, he was a bit irritated by it, even grumbling a bit.

“Aye, ya jackass, ya wanna do this the easy way or the hard way? I could make the rumors about fightin’ a tough-lookin’ pokemon with my bare hands true if ya like.“

Oh. Behind him, perched on a tree, a Grimmsnarl is trying to nab it!

"Hands off!" He grumbled, swatting at the hairy tendril before turning around and seeing the Grimmsnarl.

"Ah, so yer a pokemon..." He pondered this for a moment. As far as he knew, Grimmsnarl couldn't Mega Evolve, and he didn't really need his keystone too badly...

Although, he may never get another one.

"Don't do that again an' we'll be fine."
