prompts
256. âWake up! Please, please wake up!â / 291. âYou need to wake up because I canât do this without you.â/ 325.âI couldnât imagine what life would be like without you.â
âCome on!â
Dimly, youâre aware of someone grasping your shoulder, urging you to get to your feet. Youâre on your back, struggling to remember what had happened, but your eyes donât want to open.
Thereâd been⊠an attack, hadnât there? Some sort of demon⊠warlock? Chris had been there, andâ
Chris. You recognize the voice now, the one pleading: âWake up! Please, please wake up!â It belongs to Chris Halliwell⊠your Whitelighter.Â
Iâm trying, you want to tell him, but it feels like youâre swimming up from deep waterâeverythingâs cold, and dark, and your body doesnât want to respond.
Thereâs a hint of something else in his pleading now, something your tired, barely-working brain canât quite identify. âYou need to wake up because I canât do this without you.â
Do what? Itâs a hazy thought, just barely formed. Then, as if from far off, you feel his fingertips trailing down your arm, the inside of your wrist, your palm, before they intertwine with your own fingers.
âIâŠâ His voice catches, breaks. He draws in ragged breath, then lets it out. âI couldnât imagine what life would be like without you,â he confesses.
Your heart skips a beat, then starts to pound. Well, then. Thatâs as close to a love confession youâve ever heard from him; and with a jolt, your mind breaks free of the encroaching darkness and your eyes open.
Itâs the movement of your fingers twitching, closing around his that grabs Chrisâs attention. Your vision briefly swims before you, but when it clears youâre looking into his pale green eyes.
Your mouth is dry; you clear your throat, wet your lips, and feel your mouth twitch in a feeble attempt at a smile. âSo, uhâŠâ You try for a joke, try to keep your tone light. âYou canât imagine what life would be like without me, huh?â
His eyes widen; for a moment, he says nothing as he stares at you like a deer caught in headlights. Then his eyes narrow, and youâre afraid heâs going to take it back⊠or yell at you for playing dead.
Instead, the expression in his eyes lightens and his mouth twitches in a half-smile. âYeah.â His voice is rougher, thicker, than it usually is. âJust, uh, keep it between us, hmm?â
You swallow, try for a small nod. âOkay.â
Chris doesnât say anything else for a moment; his expression turns serious. âLetâs get you home, all right?â Without waiting for a response, he tightens his hold on your hand, rests his other hand on your chest.
Blue-white orbs surround you both, your change fueled by his own transformation, and then the two of you are gone.

Hi! I'm really happy to have found someone who writes about Charmed. I've always loved that series and even today the character I love most remains Chris. Chris Halliwell truly has a special place in my heart...so if requests are open I'd love to ask you to write a Chris x reader smut. He, the reader and Wyatt have always been best friends, and over the years they have grown together, coming to consider each other as "brothers and sister". Over time, however, the feelings between her and Chris have matured and the fear (also due to the risks associated with magic since just like him she is a witch) has progressively pushed them to distance themselves. Before the smut I would like there to be something that forces them to admit the truth... like an argument or a heated confrontation dictated by Chris' jealousy towards his brother. I hope you like this idea... and thank you for your patience ⥠My English is not perfect, sorry!
i love this idea!!! iâm sorry iâm getting this up so late! i just had my baby, so writing hasnât been a top priority.
iâm also not very motivated to write smut for some reason???? iâm sorry if youâre unhappy with that, but i hope you enjoy the imagine anyways.
thank you for requesting!!!
Youâre Gonna Marry Her One Day (Chris Halliwell x Fem!Reader)
warnings: swearing, arguments, friends to lovers, jealous Chris
notes: we back on our chris shit babyyyyyy! this is written in my preferred style of 3rd POV.
word count: 2,385
A 12 year old Chris Halliwell was seated at the kitchen table with his elbows propped up, chin in his hands, staring out the window. Outside, Y/n was running around the backyard with Wyatt and Melinda, laughing as she dodged the youngest Halliwell's attempts to tag her.
He felt his heart do that weird thing it always did when Y/n laughed â like it was jumping into his throat and then sinking back down to his stomach.
Piper Halliwell was humming to herself as she finished the dishes. Y/n finally slowed down, red-faced and breathless, waving goodbye to everyone before heading home.
"She's funny," He muttered, mostly to himself.
Piper smiled, glancing at her son over her shoulder. "You've been watching her the whole time, haven't you?"
The young brunette turned red instantly, eyes darting away. "I was just... making sure she didn't get hurt."
Piper chuckled and wiped her hands on a dish towel. "Uh-huh, sure. You're gonna marry her one day, you know that?"
Chris' face flushed even deeper. "Mom!"
She laughed again, walking over to ruffle his hair. "I'm just saying. You two are inseparable, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon."
Wyatt walked into the room just in time to catch the end of the conversation. His older brother grinned wickedly. "Chris marrying Y/n? Oh man, this is already golden."
Chris shot him a glare. "Shut up, Wyatt."
The blond wasn't done though. "You mean all this time you've been in love with her?" He wiggled his eyebrows dramatically, making kissy faces.
"I'm not in love with her!" The green eyed boy protested, though his cheeks felt like they were on fire.
Just then, Melinda bounded inside, her eyes wide with excitement. "Wait, Chris likes Y/n?" She gasped dramatically, clasping her hands together. "You guys would be so cute!"
"See?" Wyatt said, wrapping an arm around their little sister. "Even Mel agrees."
Chris buried his face in his hands. "Can you guys, just, not?"
Piper, still grinning, gave his shoulder a comforting pat. "It's okay to like someone, honey. Y/n's a good girl."
He groaned, his family's laughter filling the room. He couldn't believe how embarrassing they were being, but as he peeked out between his fingers, he saw Y/n walking away down the road, her hair bouncing in the wind. And then, as much as he wanted to deny it, a little part of him wondered if his mom was right.
Maybe he did like his best friend a little more than he realized.
...
Chris stood outside Y/n's house, tugging at the stiff collar of his rented tuxedo. He wasn't used to dressing up like this, and it felt wrong, like the suit wasn't meant for him. His palms were sweaty, and he wiped them on his pants for what felt like the hundredth time. Why was he so nervous? It was just Y/n. They were going to prom together â they always did everything together.
No big deal.
The door opened, and Y/n stepped out onto the porch. Chris froze.
She was wearing a deep blue gown that shimmered under the porch light, simple but elegant, the kind of dress that looked like it was made for her. Her hair was loose, falling in soft waves around her shoulders. She smiled at him, but there was something in her eyes â something quiet, almost nervous.
"Well, don't just stand there gawking," she teased, breaking the tension. "I'm not that dressed up."
Chris blinked, trying to form words. "No, I mean... you look... wow."
Y/n laughed, her cheeks flushing. "Thanks. You clean up pretty nice yourself. Didn't think I'd ever see you in a tux."
He tugged at his collar, grinning. "Yeah, not exactly my style. This thing feels like it's trying to choke me."
"Don't worry, we'll survive," she said with a chuckle. "Thanks for doing this with me, by the way."
Chris shrugged, trying to play it off. "Of course. I'm not going to prom without my best friend. And there was no way I was gonna let you go alone."
The h/c girl smiled at that, a little softer this time.
They walked to his car, slipping into the usual easy conversation, making jokes about their friends and poking fun at the fact that they both waited until the last minute to decide to go at all. But underneath it all, Chris couldn't shake the familiar nagging feeling in his chest â it was like the realization he'd made at 12 would never stop haunting his soul. He kept pushing it down, focusing on the fact that they were just friends, always had been.
At the prom, the gym was decorated in over-the-top prom fashion â streamers, balloons, a photo booth in the corner. It was cheesy, exactly what Chris expected, and exactly what they'd joked about on the drive over.
They danced, joked around with their friends, took goofy pictures in the photo booth, and for a while, it felt normal. Comfortable. It just felt like them.
But then the slow songs started, and Chris felt the shift. They were standing off to the side when Y/n nudged him. "Come on, one slow dance won't kill you."
The brunette groaned playfully, though his heart sped up. "You're really gonna make me do this?"
"Damn right," Y/n said, grinning as she grabbed his hand and dragged him onto the dance floor.
They stood there, a little awkward at first, but then she rested her head lightly against his chest, and the tension in Chris' shoulders melted away. He put his arms around her waist, trying not to think about just how right it felt.
"You're not as bad at this as you think," Y/n murmured, her voice soft.
"Don't get used to it," Chris said, his voice teasing but a little shaky.
She smiled but didn't say anything else. They swayed together in silence for a while, and Chris found himself wishing the night didn't have to end so soon. He glanced down at her, at the way the soft curls of her hair brushed against his tux. He opened his mouth to say something â maybe a joke, maybe something real â but then closed it again.
This was Y/n, his best friend.
He wasn't about to mess that up, not now.
Instead, they just danced, comfortable in the unspoken bond they'd always shared. The moment stretched out between them, and Chris felt like they were the only two people in the room.
As the song ended, Y/n pulled back slightly and grinned up at him. "See? That wasn't so bad, was it?"
He smirked, his heart still racing. "Guess not."
They spent the rest of the night like they always did â laughing, making sarcastic comments about everyone's prom outfits, and sneaking out early to get milkshakes from the diner. They never mentioned the dance or the way the air seemed heavier between them afterward.
Neither one of them brought it up because it was easier to stay the same, easier to just be Chris and Y/n â the best friends who did everything together.
...
Chris Halliwell stood by the window, watching his brother and best friend by the firepit outside. They were laughing about something, Wyatt leaning a little too close to her for his liking. His stomach twisted, and he clenched his fists.
Y/n looked up at Wyatt with that playful smile of hers, the same one she used to give Chris when they were kids, chasing each other through the yard.
His jaw tightened as he watched his brother brush her shoulder. What the hell is he doing?
"Chris?" Melinda's voice pulled him out of his thoughts. She was passing through Y/n's living room, carrying a tray of snacks. "You alright? You look like you're gonna break something."
Chris forced a smile. "Yeah. Just tired."
The youngest Halliwell glanced out the window and raised an eyebrow. "Tired or jealous?"
He didn't respond, just turned his back to the scene outside. Melinda laughed softly and headed into the kitchen, leaving him alone with his frustration.
Wyatt had always been better at everything â sports, grades, getting the girl. Not to mention the whole Twice-Blessed bullshit that plagued their childhood. And now, it seemed like the blond was about to take the only good thing he'd ever had to himself. Chris rubbed the back of his neck, trying to shake off the bitterness creeping up his throat. Y/n wasn't his to lose.
They were just friends. Best friends.
But that didn't soothe the scorch marks of jealousy that the sight left on his soul; he knew exactly why they were there â they'd only been building up for nine years.
Later that evening, Chris finally found the courage to head outside, pretending like he didn't care. Wyatt had stepped away, but Y/n was still there, poking at the fire with a stick. She looked up when she heard him approach, her smile fading when she saw the tightness in his expression.
"Hey, stranger," she said softly. "Everything okay?"
Chris shoved his hands into his pockets, avoiding her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Uh, what's going on with you and Wyatt?"
She blinked, taken aback by the question. "The hell are you talking about? We were just hanging out."
"Sure didn't look like normal hanging out to me."
Her eyes narrowed. "The fuck is that supposed to mean?"
Chris could feel the heat rising in his face. He hadn't meant for this to turn so sour so quick, but now that he had started, he couldn't seem to stop. "It just means that I think you guys looked pretty cozy earlier."
"Cozy?" Y/n scoffed. "Chris, we were literally just jokin' around. What the hell is your problem?"
"Him! He always gets what he wants, and I'm tired of it. I'm sick of everyone acting like he's better than me and... and now he's trying to take the only good thing I've ever had to myself â and I know that sounds fucked, butâ"
Y/n stared at him, her expression shifting from confusion to realization.
"Chris..." she said slowly, standing up from her seat. "You think I want to be with Wyatt?"
He didn't answer, too embarrassed to admit it.
She stepped closer, crossing her arms. "Is that what this is about? You think I'd ditch you for your airhead brother?"
"Why wouldn't you?" The words came out before he could stop them, bitterness dripping from every syllable. "I'm just the guy everyone ignores when he's around."
Y/n's face softened. "Chris, you dumbass..."
"What?"
"You think I'd ignore you?" She said, her voice quiet but firm. "Dude, I'd sell Wyatt for a pork chop. You're the only one I actually pay attention to, but you never did anything. I thought maybe... I don't know, maybe you didn't see me like that."
Chris blinked, his heart pounding. "You... you mean you..."
"You're dense," she said, a hint of humor in her tone. "I've been waiting for you to pay attention to me."
The fire crackled between them, but everything else fell silent. Chris searched her face, trying to process what she was saying. "But... why didn't you say something?"
"Why didn't you?" She countered. "I don't do rejection, you know that."
Chris found Y/n sitting alone behind the bleachers after school, her knees pulled up to her chest. Her eyes were red, and she was trying â and failing â to wipe away the tears before he could notice.
"N/n," he said softly, sitting down beside her. "What happened?"
She sniffed, looking away. "It's stupid. You'll think it's dumb."
"Try me," Chris said, nudging her shoulder gently.
She let out a shaky breath. "I told Ryan I liked him... and he basically said I wasn't his type." Her voice cracked on the last word, and she quickly wiped her eyes again. "He said it in front of everyone at lunch. I just... I feel like such an idiot."
The boy clenched his fists, anger flaring up at Ryan for making her feel like this, but he kept his voice steady. "You're not an idiot, N/n. Heâs the idiot."
She looked at him, her face crumpling. "You're just saying that."
"I'm serious," Chris said, his voice firm but soft. "He's an idiot because he doesn't see how awesome you are. That's his problem, not yours."
Yen stared at him for a second, her lips trembling before she broke into a small, tired smile. "Thanks, Chris."
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close in the way only best friends could. "You deserve way better than some guy like him anyway."
She leaned her head on his shoulder, and for the rest of the afternoon, they sat there in comfortable silence.
He cringed at the memory, jaw tensing as he realized that she was afraid heâd be another Ryan Powell and publicly reject her.
All the jealousy and anger drained from his soul, leaving only the raw truth between them. "I didn't want to mess things up and risk losing you," he admitted, his voice quieter now.
They stood there for a moment, the weight of unspoken feelings hanging in the air. Finally, Y/n shook her head and stepped closer. "You're such a guy. You've had me this whole time."
Chris let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, reaching for her hand. "I'm sorry... I didn't know how to say it."
She smiled, lacing her fingers with his. "You just did."
Without thinking, he closed the distance between them, pulling her into a kiss that felt like it was years in the making â though, it was. It was soft, hesitant at first, then deeper, as if they were both making up for lost time.
When they finally pulled apart, Y/n grinned up at him. "Took you long enough."
Chris laughed softly, resting his forehead against hers. "Blame Wyatt."
"Yeah, about that," she said with a smirk, "apparently he's been trying to get you to admit your feelings for years."
The brunette groaned. "I'm gonna kill him."
Y/n chuckled and kissed him again, making him forget all about his brother.
At least, for now.

The fact that both Brennan and Mira's signets are probably manifested because of Violet. Mending being Brennan's signet because he watched Violet being sicked and injured all the time when she was a kid and Mira's signet is warding because she's extremely protective of Violet and she wanted to protect Violet all the timeđ„čđ„č

it just keeps getting funnier how tairn keeps reaching record-breaking levels of single dad energy
i'm barely on chapter 20 but his life up to this point has pretty much consisted of:
"I just put the baby down for a nap!!"
threatening the school principal for trying to murder picking on violet
"DON'T WAKE THE BABY!!"
very short date nights once a week with sgaeyl where i'm sure too much time is wasted catching up on all the kids
keeping violet from breaking her neck with extreme gymnastics
DON'T. WAKE. THE BABY.
