Dear Self,

I apologize if I always blame you for the things that you didn’t do. I apologize if I torture you with all the thoughts of not being enough, even if it wasn’t your call to take. I am in the process of knowing better and I swear that if I ever reach the maturity I was eyeing for, you wouldn’t have to go through all the torments anymore. I promise that one day, I’m gonna be so full that no matter how many people take a part of me, I will still stay full. I’m gonna love myself so much that healing will be my response to all things that are intending to hurt me. I will be the best version of myself, for you in the future. As for now, hold on so dearly and don’t let the madness of the world take advantage of your innocence. I know how hard it has been for you to hold on and keep your line but please don’t you ever change yourself to accommodate others. Please don’t stop being kind and never regret being good to others.

In the back of my head, I always knew it wouldn’t though. I always knew you were temporary. I always knew you’d leave. And now that it finally happened, I don’t know how to live life anymore.

I have managed to build myself up from the ground when someone I loved dearly made me feel like I don't deserve to be loved.

So, no, you can’t just enter my life like how he did and leave me just as how he left. I’m not allowing you to.

Quick Life Update:

I have been consistently attending weekly runs every Tuesdays hosted by Nike Running Club, since April. I have also ran my 1st 10km!! I can do 10km/hr!!! INSANE progress since I’ve started. I have plans on making this a regular activity... 

I’m planning on running my first ever half marathon in February 2023, and I will train for it intensively.

Ohhhh and I forgot to mention that I also had my Eye Lasik Surgery last December! Half my life, I was wearing my glasses so I felt like it was a part of me already that I had to let go. But little by little, I’m getting used without it. 

Slowly realizing that not all things in life are permanent and that while some things have already been a part of us for the longest time, we’d still do well without it once we lose them. 

Here’s me capping off my day with a Sunglasses. :D I’ve always wanted to wear one but the struggles between wearing eyeglasses and wearing shades had been evident to me for the past years. 

Your boy just attended his very first Spartan Race!!! 

Life update, I’ve been working out a lot lately, and have joined various fitness groups around Dubai. I’ve also just joined a running group sponsored by Nike.

Life’s been a rollercoaster and all I can say is currently, I’m on the upper part.

There’s this thumping inside me that’s caused by the mere presence of you being near. And I promised myself I wouldn’t want to feel this again, but here it is again and again.

It’s been a while since I last wrote something. But here’s my life update: I’m currently dating someone. He’s from India and he went to the UK to finish his program, so he is well-versed in the English language that sometimes, I myself would run out of words to say.

It’s been 2 weeks since we first started talking everyday and until now I’m still not sure if we’re on the same page. But one thing I’m certain about is that he makes me smile a lot. His smile is also one of the cutest smiles I’ve ever seen in my life.

Let’s see where this is heading. I’m seriously hoping and praying this could work. It’s been a while since I went out romantically with another guy that I kind of forgot how it feels like having someone check up on you.

I looked back and realized, I wasn’t myself anymore from years ago. I am growing, I am changing. And it scares me how situations might change me again. But I know change is constant. I guess I just have to keep on changing until I become who I want to be. 

But whoever I am now, I’m happy about who I turned out to be.
