Dear artists,

May is a month of creativity when the much beloved #Mermay art challenge has awed us for years. Now, we invite you to reimagine the Grishaverse into the sea, either by portraying your favorite characters as mermaids, illustrating Leigh Bardugo's siren tale "When Water Sang Fire" or why not, badly photoshop the show characters on fish tales! So long as it's family friendly, anything goes with us.

So, impress us with your #MerGrisha ideas and lets flood Instagram and Tumblr with Grisha mermaids!

And then we make a fan animation over the voices, yes, we're that crazy 😌

Can we, like, genuinely start a petition to get the cast of the Crows from Shadow and Bone to record audiobooks of SoC and CK, with each one voicing their characters (and potentially the narrator of their characters' respective chapters, or somebody else to narrate like Leigh)? Because I would kill for that, especially considering we won't get to see them act out the books on-screen anymore.

Now I'm imagining how Kaz was unsure of Nina's acting skills as she was a new crow, but now after this first couple act, Kaz would totally get his payback the second time around, by making Nina blush with married-couple improprieties.

I’ve never seen the show but the idea that Kaz and Nina would not both put their all into pretending to be couple is ridiculous. Like they’d have everyone in their vicinity gagging, probably competing to see who can come up with the most disgustingly sweet cringy things to say to each other, either trying to break each other or break everyone around them and have Matthias and Inej wondering if they should be worried. They’re actors ladies and gentlemen and they take their craft very seriously.

You forgot the Captain Ghafa, Sturmhond and Ulla Morozova spin-offs and then we also fund a cat-Six of Crows animation in the style of Lackadaisy, we fund @jccatstudios to finish the Six of Crows graphic novel and separately, a couple of Grishaverse tea time books. Also we open an actual Crow Club where cosplays of bloody Kaz serve us.

Ok, but if Jordie lived, Kaz never got touch-aversion and was free to be with whoever he wants and he was canonically interested in at least 2 persons (Imogen & Inej), while many more were interested in him (Jesper, Anika, the girls at the Menagerie) and Kaz did want to brag about his conquests like the other Dregs (if he had any), so how likely poly Kaz, or at least OG crows would have been if Jordie lived?

Kanej: likes Inej quite a bit but is always just a little bit concerned she’s gonna whisk him away on her ship so 9/10

Kazper: HATES Jesper, but will begrudgingly acknowledge that he does love Kaz and makes him happy, so 5/10

Kylan: a rich respectful Kerch boy? This everything Jordie has ever wanted for Kaz, 10/10, is currently planing their wedding

Katthias: a former witch hunter from the most conservative country in their world,,, the boy seems to have deconstructed and all that but Jordie can’t help but be a little concerned, 6/10, could go up or down depending how Matthias acts

Kina: similar to Inej, he likes her quite a bit but is very concerned about her whisking him away to Ravka, 8/10, she’s slightly less than Inej simply bc Jordie finds her patriotism annoying

Kiwi or KK (Kaz x Kuwei): 0/10, fucking hates every moment Kaz is in this relationship, as do his friends, cheers when they decide just to be friends (until he realizes they still flirt as friends)

In a polycrows scenario, he just has his favorites amongst them. Ultimately all that matters to Jordie is that Kaz is happy and loved, so while he may have his own opinions all the people Kaz chooses, he keeps them to himself because he knows that they love Kaz and Kaz loves them.

It has been one year since the cancellation, but it has also been a full year of fans campaigning to bring back our beloved Shadow and Bone and get the Six of Crows spinoff greenlit!

This timeline shows various accomplishments from November 2023 to now. Check out all we have accomplished in just one year and give yourself a pat on the back. Be proud and look forward to the year ahead. We never stop fighting.

1001 suns have been made to send to Netflix, and we want to include you in the project! So, we're collecting messages to go in the nice, big space in the center of each sun. If you're someone who isn't necessarily crafty with origami, or you haven't been able to send any physical post to join in before, this is your chance to take part in our postal campaigns with your own message on one of these!

Or for something a bit more personal, you can submit a handwritten message uploaded as a picture to the form instead. The writing needs to be thick, easy to read, and on a white background so we can transfer it onto each sun. If possible, it would help us greatly if the image is a transparent png of your handwritten message so it is even easier to transfer. This can be done with Canva or other photo editing software. The dimensions of your handwritten message should be at maximum 7cm by 3cm.

The deadline for submissions is in 1 week's time - they must reach us by midnight November 5th Pacific Time.
