it'll definitely catch him off guard

they think they know what you said but asks you to repeat it just to hear you say it once more

you can literally see his whole body melt when he realizes what you’re saying

Faust gets it before asra does so you’ll get a little squeeze on your wrist <3

you aren’t gonna get away from them though, hes pressing kisses all over your face

holds you very close that night <3 you can hear each other’s heart beat

they love hearing your native language, never gets used to it either

he definitely associates you saying you love him in your native language as a sort of special occasion

you absolutely have to tell faust you love her in your native language,

she gives you a little boop and you can hear the “love mc!”

Julian

He can understand that it’s a different language but, just doesn’t realize what you said without you telling him

when you do tell him, hes very emotional,

in his minds saying that means you really really do love him and it overwhelms him a little

you two are gonna be stuck holding each other, but julian is whispering how he loves you too, and rambling to you the whole time

everytime you say it he’ll get a little less overwhelmed, still emotional though,

he definitely just likes to hear you ramble in your native language

if you’d let him he’d like to learn your native language! at least to understand bits of what you say,

malak let’s put a noise that differs on how bad julian says a word in your native language

Nadia

she thinks she’s imagining things when she hears you speak

she genuinely has to ask you what you just said, just to be sure she didn’t just imagine it

once you repeat it, the softest smile shows itself on her features

she’ll be in a good mood the entire day

the palace servants are quite confused, they don’t understand what’s got her so happy

she’ll talk to you later that night, and she definitely treats you to a nice bath

she always feels special when she hears you say you love her, but hearing you say it in your native language adds some umph to it

she won’t have time to learn your language, but she does love hearing you speak in it.

eventually she’ll be able to recognize word, depending on how much you use them

Muriel

he has that look on his face, you know the one, the wide eyed, confused look

he’ll ask what you said but from how red his cheeks are he most likely already has an idea

he goes completely pink, including his ears, when you confirm what you said

you’ll fluster him every time you say it, without fail

he'll say it back if you don't make him crash, just give him a few moments to think through how this works

Don't say it in public too much or he'll actually break

Inanna practically bullies him after the first time you said it, she manages to look very smug whenever you speak in your native language

Portia

She's so excited when she realizes what you said

picks you up in a hug after a minute of processing

pepi is circling around your feet and meowing at the two of you

Portia is practically jumping with happiness

She loves hearing you say you love her in your native language after that

It feels very special to her, like you're giving her a part of your world

absolutely learns to say it back <3

she's not at all embarrassed to say it in public, you won't trick her that way

The only way to embarrass her with it is to say it during an intimate moment between you both

Lucio

doesn’t notice or understand what you’re saying at first

when he does realize you’re speaking in your native language he’s all over you

he wants to know what you said! the little shit already knows but wants you to say it many many times more

encourages you to speak your native language more, he might not really get what you say but definitely still likes hearing it

he'll blush a little bit everytime you say it out loud, very proud to hear it though

say it before he falls asleep, he'll fall asleep with the cutest smile on his face.

no one's surprised when they see him wear this like a badge of honor though, he will absolutely show off that you only say it to him

Cursed Headcanons Pt 2

Arcana Characters (Main 6)

A/N: I’m just gonna keep making these until people give me the attention I crave. All headcanons are /j

❤️Julian❤️

Prescribes cocaine for every mental illness

Surprisingly high success rate

Once gave his leeches cocaine to see what would happen

They died

He was inconsolable for weeks

🧡Portia🧡

You know how some people say talking to plants makes them grow better?

She hears that and starts to insult the plants of people she doesn’t like

You can often find her staring down Julian’s one (1) potted plant after they’ve had a fight

Julian can barely keep a plant alive in normal circumstances, so when Portia gets involved they don’t stand a chance

💛Lucio💛

Uses dog fur for his wig

💚Muriel💚

Has lice and refuses to get it treated

Spreads it to everyone he meets

And since most people don’t remember him, they have no idea how they got it

He’s a menace to society

💙Asra💙

Only has two modes: not bathing for an entire week, or soaking in fifty different scented soaps for hours at a time

Either way, the smell is overpowering

It’s not necessarily unpleasant, but it’s constant and it probably gives you a headache

And it last forever, so you’d better hope that he picks smells that you like at least a little

💜Nadia💜

She had a phase wherein she wore the most appalling outfits known to the human race because they were ✨expensive✨ and therefore clearly fashionable

Nobody had the guts to tell her otherwise

You’d think that she would look good in any outfit because she’s literally flawless, but somehow she found every outfit that by sound miracle looked horrible on her and wore them exclusively

Fortunately she eventually grew out of it, but it’s forbidden for anyone to bring it up

Some happy holidays chibi designs for the Arcana characters :D

I find it cute how aside from Julian and Portia, they’d all likely celebrate different things. It’s a great opportunity to draw for the different late year holidays.

The headcanons I based these off are that in a modern AU, Portia and Julian are Jewish, Asra is Muslim, Muriel is athiest, Nadia is Hindu, and Lucio is Christian (at least to celebrate Christmas)
